matrushkaka and I have been looking for a new phone to replace our Sidekicks. Signal quality really sucks up at Hamilton Landing, and she's impressed by the integrated GPS and streaming video features. She's purchased an Ocean which ought to be arriving today, and I'm thinking of doing the same.
Until this morning, when someone mentioned to me that there are apparently a bunch of links between Helio and the Church of Scientology. Their CEO is Sky Dayton, a scientologist from the Delphian School. The Helio office is in downtown Westwood, right around the corner from the Westwood Dianetics Center. Their launch party was hosted by Danny Masterson, had Beck as the headliner, and was attended by Tom Cruise who is also doing their first commercial.
Maybe getting an iPhone from AT&T isn't so evil after all. Damn those scientologists for making such a nice phone.
