After hearing about it this week I am giving twitter a try. Twitter is a "micro-blog" or "tumblog": posts are very short (128 characters, plain text) with no HTML formatting or comments. It interfaces with AIM and SMS, so that whenever someone on my friends list posts a new entry it gets sent to my phone as a text message. Presumably this is useful for knowing when someone is going to Philz so that you can head over to meet them if you are in the area.
Sounds dumb? Could be. My personal jury is still out. I am mrneutrongodeon, if anyone is looking for something even less substantial than this journal entry.
(They've got an automatic "invite your LJ friends to join twitter" feature when you sign up. I did not do this, because I did not want to spam you people.)
Update: Weird error message: "Name can not contain 'odeo'" That rules out "tongodeon". WTF.
