After a lot of waiting for the 802.11n standard to be ratified Apple finally released a new

iChat does use UPnP. Or at least it tries: I get an iChat-identified port mapping entry in my DD-WRT router when using iChat. (I'm not sure if it sets up the port mapping when iChat starts or when I attempt to initiate a video chat - I could check if knowing this would be useful.)
It's frustrating that very similar solutions Just Work™ while iChat doesn't, at least not without an Apple-branded router. (If only Skype's framerate was fast enough for matrushkaka to read lips.)
To be clear I'm not criticizing the router - it always works, and this is good. I'm criticizing iChat, which does not.

I meant to ask a question which you are most likely not allowed to answer: what OS does the router run? I was thinking that it could be vxWorks like the new WRT54G and several other routers, but with the iPhone allegedly "running osx" I was thinking it was possible that a flavor of embedded OSX might already exist and could be used by Apple for free.

Well, that's annoying. I wonder if there's a technical reason or if they're just trying to push people to buy AppleTV to get their AirTunes functionality back.
Tried the USB NAS? I'm curious about how well that works.

Yeah, but since the Express came after the Extreme, I had hoped AirTunes would be included in subsequent Extreme releases.
Speaking of the Express - does the new Extreme support WDS with the Express or older Extreme WAPs?
