After six years, I finally have a new computer. Yay. It's a big change from my last one. My old one was 900 MHz, 40.0 GB, 128 MB RAM, with no DVD burner (I don't think that was invented yet) and two USB 1.1 ports. My new one is 3.0 GHz, 200 GB, 1 GB RAM, with a DVD±R/RW DL drive, 7 USB 2.0 ports, and 4 IEEE 1394 ports. And it has a flat panel monitor, which is so much more convenient than those old fashioned kind, since it takes up so little room.
Right now I'm typing this in the empty room/study. I'm sort of surrounded by books, boxes, bags, and wires. I hooked up the DSL modem, but the phone jack is on the wall behind me, so I have a cable going that way. I also have an Ethernet cable running from the switch on top of my computer to the other computer. However, for some reason, the network won't work, and that is very annoying, since I've been wanting to have a network for a very long time. My old computer has so many problems with it.
School is out now, but I've had to go back to school on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for various things. I think I went back to school on Tuesday too, but I don't remember. Hopefully, though, Thursday was the last time I needed to go back to school.
We had mock elections on Wednesday. I won quietest. Allie won brattiest. Smitha won worst driver. Mrs. Terbrack embarrassed herself in front of the entire senior class.
I saw Star Wars today. It's not as bad as people have told me, but I don't really think it's comparable in quality to the original three, though I certainly think it's the best out of the new three. Not much for me to say about it, other than that some of the acting (especially the love scenes) was a bit wanting, and the special effects were very nice. And I wish George Lucas made the Dark Side less, well, evil. It would have been very interesting to give an unbiased viewpoint about the Dark Side, instead of making it the usual pure good versus pure evil.
Graduation in six days.
Excuse me if I misspelled any words. I'm sitting pretty far away from the screen, and I need to get new glasses.
