(no subject)
You're looking for a free sound editor to do a quick cut-and-paste job with a couple of mp3s to use them as ringtones. You google and find Audacity. You see "open source" and think, okay, it probably sucks, but it will have to do.
What you see, though, is something that defies all your expectations by being such an unbelievable piece of utterly useless crap that I'm having a hard time finding words to explain it. With this software, they're reinventing the entire idea of 'suck', bringing about a quantum leap, or should I say an entire paradigm shift, in suckage. You gotta see it to believe it; It has "suck" written all over it.
EDIT: I have since tried the Linux version and it sorta works. But the Mac version is unusable due to there being no way to set playback position (ctrl-click no workie)
