on the golden girls front, last night, i watched "the days and nights of sophia petrillo" and "old friends" (episodes 402 and 301, respectively) as a tribute to estelle getty, and cried a lot. in the former episode, i never noticed the obvious parallel between that plot and estelle getty advocacy work for individuals with AIDS. it's really touching, and i'm glad they highlighted that. the second episode is a tearjerker about growing older and losing a good friend. i thought that they were appropriate episodes to (1) remember her life, and (2) say my goodbyes.
if anyone would like for me to burn these two episodes to a dvd, i'd be more than happy to.
rue mclanahan's statement about estelle's passing made me cry a little bit, too. "though estelle has gone on to a better place, sophia will always be with us." jeez, i'm crying in the office, even typing about it. let's just say that i'm taking it hard.
