Well well well mr journal...we meet again. Lets sssseeee this week was a long one, but very interesting and inspiring, overall I liked it. So lets have a lil run down...
Monday - Nothin better than starting the week on a Monday, err well I guess we don't really have a choice but still they always seem to suck haha. So yeah, after a nice long day of classes I come home get some cheese and crackers and head off to my last class of the day, which i usually sleep through, but not today because it was actually kinda interesting. The speaker was talking to us about donating organs and one person can help up to 50 people after they had died. I thought it was really interesting and i think im gonna donate my organs and i encourage all of you who read this to do it also because the gift of life to another person is the biggest gift you can give...so think it about it and next time you're at secretary of state sign up. So after that i headed over to the fraternity and we went to a speaker to kick off greek week. The speakers there were also very interesting...Mr. Lloyd Carr for his cancer foundation and Camp Heartland which is a camp for children with HIV, the two charities that all the proceeds of greek week go to. So they had some of the kids there from the camp and it was so sad to see 6 - 12 year olds on stage telling us how they have to deal with HIV...sometimes i wonder about this world...but on the other hand this is just what i needed. After leaving there i have no doubt in my mind, not that there was any before, that i definitely wanna be a doctor. To see how the lives of these children have been changed by the people who helped them is truly amazing and i can't wait till i am able to help people myself. Awesome day, just awesome...
Tuesday through Wednesday - Work work work work work work, oh and umm some more work...ya know the usual
But Thursday - Yet another inspiring day...So i go to class blah blah blah, i come home get ready to come home for the weekend and then head downstairs to another speaker before i leave for good old warren. So im expecting just the average speaker, as usually is the case with these kinda things, but no this time it was another interesting person. His name? good question, i should find that one out haha. Well he graduated from U of M undergrad and med. as a neurosurgeon and he works for CNN as one of their top medical guys...very cool. So he tells us all the stories of him going to Iraq and all the different things he has done for CNN and his neurosurgical practice, which was very inspiring (seems to be the theme this week). So left there, nice and inspired to get out there and be everything i can be and headed on my way hooommeee...so i get there call yang we go for a nice drive..talk..and realize that regardless of what happened in the past we had a lot of fun and thats all that matters, good stuff.
Friday - Got up at like mmm 7 to go to work with the mother then went to the dentists at like 10 to get the wisdom teeth removed, not fun at all haha. So after he gives me the IV im like how long does it take for me to fall asleep? and hes like oh i give you about 5 seconds haha <
