Been working on a portrait of the house. It's less frustrating for me since Nora gets to play outside and be entertained and I can only paint for a set amount of time before my shadows all move. It's also been a great way to meet the neighbors.

I doubt I'd ever have the funds, but what would you charge for a painting? One of my parents' home would be awesome.

Oh, and before you think I grew up in a mansion, let me explain that my dad built the house 20 some years ago and the second floor has yet to be finished and be living space. It's a giant hall of storage rooms currently. And the first floor has no trim on the windows or stain on the doors or knobs on any cabinets or drawers, plus loads of other unfinished things. To my parents it's totally normal, but to everyone else it's probably crazy.

As for price, I am super flexible. I am charging my neighbor $200 for a 16"x20" acrylic painting on canvas. I am "paying" Nora's babysitters in a couple of weeks with an 11"x14" watercolor on rag paper of their cabin. Maybe we could arrange a trade? Paintings for babylegs or something? :) (Um, that babylegs the knit leg warmers... not the bottom half of a small child for any non-baby owners peeking in.)

Maybe this'll work? That's not a very flattering picture either, but it gives you an idea. Think of things you'd like that I can do (quilt? sew? knit?); a trade would be amazing!
