quick poll re: mike's beard

Mike has a job interview tomorrow (yay!) Should he shave his beard? y/n

I have never seen Mike without a beard. Could be weird, though I am assured he is quite handsome without it. Also, won't there be weird face-tan if he does? Hmmm...

Trim it all neat, but don't shave it. You need at least 2-3 days after shaving a beard for the skin underneath to start looking decent again if you've had one for a while.

Also, haircut if he hasn't already.

I think he's going to go with this. I also polled friends and family by email and it was overwhelmingly "YES SHAVE IT EMPLOYERS ONLY SEE A CRIMINAL WHEN THEY SEE A BEARD." Oh well. At least he will be a neat-and-dapper-looking criminal.

I think this depends a great deal on the prospective employer and potential line of work.

The safer option I would think would be Yes. But it would be a waste of a good beard if it was totally unnecessary.
