I played in dirt for over an hour today, sifting through for mineral concretions so that I can make paint. I am completely exhausted, but here is my haul:
Tomorrow I will grind it all up, make a paste, and add binding fluid so that it turns into acrylic paint. I am doing a painting at work and I thought it would be extra special if some of the paint actually came from the site itself.
I wanted the Superman statue my friend John made to have a little more color and flair, so I've been experimenting with growing molds and moss on him. Here he is after two weeks of growth:
I don't know what his fate is. I can't move him with me (too heavy and big), but I would be sad to leave him at the rental house, where they will probably just throw him away. Does anyone have any ideas?
