OK my review is late again - and to be honest, it's pretty crap. I loved the episode, but my review is pretty much a random squeefest with a few musings at the end. You have been warned lol!
1. NOOO! Not that godawful voiceover again! But yay! John! I miss Daddy Winchester.
2. Three little pigs! I wasn't sure at first...then I heard "one gust of wind and it's gonna blow over" - hilarious.LMAO! The snort of the pig who survives! Is it wrong that I make that noise when I laugh?
3. Ooh Pig Who Survives is a coward - running out on his brothers. Tut. Tut. *look of shame* You are a fellow ginger person - we are not cowards!!
4. Sam yelling! Dean yelling! Hold on while I just pick myself back up off the floor.
5. I love the look on the old lady's face when she's carving up Hansel/Gretel (I never did know which one was which when I was little). That right there, is a look of glee. And I still love how they've stepped up the gore even more this season.
6. While I watch Sam and Dean interview the girl...I can't help but wish every policeman looked like them.
7. YAY! The EMF meter returns! It's been mentioned quite a few times but I don't think we've actually seen it for ages!
8. *giggles* Sam said sex.
9. Right, what the hell is the deal with this frog. And Dean...may I just point out nobody asked you to kiss the frog? lol
10. That little girl looks exactly like a little girl I used to know from dancing. And it is extremely creepy. I really really thought Dean was going to eat that red apple. He knows nothing about fairy tales so I really wouldn't have been surprised if he just ate it not knowing what it did to Snow White.
11. I feel like I should be suspicious of the doctor...but that would be very Something Wicked so I'm guessing he's probably totally innocent. Especially if his daughter is meant to be Snow White. whimpers* The little girl's is creeping me out!
12. Awww! I really thought Callie was going to wake up when her daddy kissed her. OK and now I'm nearly crying. =(
13. Samuel Winchester get back into bed this instant. All this crossroads stuff is making me want to try burying a box of stuff at one to see if a demon appears. The only thing stopping me is my fear that one might turn up and try to trick me into selling my soul lol. Yes I'm quite overdramatic.
14. And now we get to the extra interesting part of the episode.I'm really loving Sam even more this season "You can beg for your life." You tell her Sammy! I can't decide whether or not I liked Sandra as the CRD. In some parts she was really good and in some she really wasn't. She wasn't terrible, but I don't think she was as good as the lady from AHBL2. I think I just found my favourite Sam line ever: "Alright I've had enough of your crap. You let Dean out of his deal right now." I don't know why, probably Jared's acting, but I actually willing the demon just to do what he wanted because he was so pissed off lol.
15. *CLUNK* That was my jaw hitting the floor. HE SHOT HER! I am...shocked. Shocked actually doesn't even come close. I completely understand that Sam is more driven to kill demons now - I mean he's definitely got reason to be more pissed at them than anyone else...but it's his seemingly complete disregard for the humans these demons are possessing that's got me a little worried. That's 3 innocent people (not including the ones from TMS because I'm too tired to go back and count them) that he's killed so far. I'm not exactly sure where I stand on the "Is Sam turning evil?" situation...but I'm not entirely sure he's come back as original Sam. It could just be his determination to find a way to save Dean, or it could be something even more sinister.
See this is why I love this show - I'm going to be thinking about this all night. And all day.
I was quite amused for a moment in Mass on Sunday. I was slightly hungover from the birthday dinner the night before, which is probably the reason why I thought I heard the priest who was saying Mass (well actually it was the bishop this week but that's neither here nor there) start saying the "Spiritus immundi..." exorcism from Sin City. I know that he of course was saying nothing of the sort, but it definitely grabbed my attention lol.
I also meant to say last week - I've been wondering if there is some significance in the fact the Ruby and Dean have never met yet. Until she'd met Bobby, I was actually wondering if Sam was imagining her. But obviously that can't be true now that Bobby's seen and spoken to her. But I like to think of Kripke as being a little like JK Rowling in that every tiny little detail has major significance to the overall story. And I'm sure it's more than the whole thing about giving the boys more time off. Sam's met Bela - why hasn't Dean met Ruby?
