So I just blew $96 on antibiotics because my sinus infection came back and my insurance bites hard. Thank you, Wal-Mart. At least I'll be healthy again. For now.
Turned in my students' final grades today. One more semester done. It's The Shack for the summer, then another year of teaching and The Shack, and then (hopefully) a PHD in English.
Saturday is the Team Stray cd release show at Top Cat's. Hope y'all can come. Show's at 9pm, but for those who feel like it, there's a cookout at Glendora House starting at 5pm. If it's anything like the last cookout, you should bring a working grill. Or at least some beer. Do it.
Speaking of beer, the annual Tennessee hot-dog-and-or-brat-and-beer-shirtless-swill-a-thon-for-dudes-only takes place Monday the 15th through Wednesday the 17th, and if you are a dude who likes to get your drink and stink on, then get it the eff on with us. As with every year, I vow to wear nothing that can't be used as a napkin, and if I get drunk enough, nothing that can't be used as toilet paper. Hopefully there will be less incriminating (read: revolting) photographic evidence this year.
I almost forgot to mention it, but Free Comic Book Day was the best ever this year. I got a huge stack of stuff at Fearless Readers for $8.50, plus free hot dogs and ice cream and sodas, and I got to visit Darkstar, a comics/used book shop in Yellow Springs that is super-tight. Having Ryan and Chris along for the ride (along with Eric and Justin, of course) made it extra spectacular.
