I just found my 2x great grandfather's house on a 1863 map of Prince Edward Island. Since the house is identified as B Baker, I am inferring that his father, James T, is dead or otherwise off the scene by this time. I know he marries my great grandmother (who may be the niece of his next neighbor) w/in two years and they produce my great grandfather (whom I met) in short order
From google earth it appears that the farm is still worked (great grandfather decided that Boston offered more opportunity than farming Maritime Canada) but both houses look more recent.
