Everyone knew that the Potter boy would win. It was in the stars, the crystal balls, the tarot cards… There was no escaping it.
But Tom had never been able to sit still and let things pass him without a fuss. So he interfered.
If only he had know that it wasn’t that Potter was so great, but that it would be his interference that would cause him to because such a powerful wizard, maybe Tom would have let this one go.
If he hadn’t tried to kill the boy, the boy wouldn’t be so powerful.
And that was that.
