Well not yet, but it will be soon enough. Anyway I just thought I'd share some stuff I've been doing for my CMPA class.
Project Two:
Ok, I apparently didn’t do this one according to the assignment, as a misunderstanding on my part. But my professor accepted it anyway, because I did a good job on it. But basically we had to take serval photos (found on the net) and make it look like one, using Photoshop. I ended up buying the background image from iStockphoto, because I couldn’t find an image with a good enough resolution for what I was going for theme wise. The dog and two people were found on Deviantart. The dog is supposed to be my detective character, Rocket.
Project Three:
This was an single image we had to manipulate in Photoshop. Which was a breeze for me, but still fun. I practically know Photoshop like the back of my hand, but I learned something new with this, about using Adjustments layers from the side panel. I also found out my version of CS5 for Mac does not have Lighting Effects or Variations, which majorly sucks; way to go Adobe!
Project Four:
This one is still a work in progress. The program is Maya, as you can see on my menu bar. I downloaded the free student edition that has a three year license. I’m working on a lava environment. This will not be animated, as we are not being taught how to do that in this class. This is just to get our feet wet with modeling, as well as some experimentation on our own with the some of the tools.
So yeah, that's all I have so far. Next we are going to be working with Adobe After Effects which I am shocked to find is a program I don't have :(. Then we will move on to Adobe Dreamweaver. So a lot of interesting stuff coming up in the next few weeks.
I'm going to be a busy little bee, for these last four weeks of the quarter (God help me).
