So, have you read the cascade of stories set in the "World of Tomorrowlands" that baxil posted about in his journal? If you haven't - goodness, go read them! They're all excellent ( Read more... )

Sounds nifty! If anyone wants to participate but is feeling inadequately versed in the universe's rules, I'll do what I can to answer questions. (Maybe this'll help me tighten the rollout schedule of the TTU Wiki ...)

... and I should also suggest the obvious: This otherwise-dead community would be a great place to host it. I can change the community info and everything and hand over moderation powah to the GM-types.

*also gryn* I'd like to keep you on board for this community, obviously, it being your idea/site/thingy; but yah, if we can use it as a base to play from, that would be keeeewl. Yay!

I have a basic story-idea gestating; I'm thinking of having a series of polls, asking where folks would like it to be set, what timeframe, maybe other startup questions. And it will leave a lot of storystructure up to the participants, very much "Here is the situation, please tell me why your character would be there, and how they would react to it."

I'm really excited about this; I should probably start making some notes or something. ;)

I'd be glad to give it a try. As a caution, though, I'm also planning out a TTU-based work of interactive fiction; I have a setting and basic storyline planned, although I need to finish writing the variants (based on player actions off the primary solution) and the full cast of characters before I can get much farther than "Your bedroom is a room." in coding it. So while I don't intend to steal anything anybody writes here for that, there's a chance it might influence my writing anyway...

I am interested. I based my 2004 novel in the Tomorrowlands universe, and even though I never finished that story, I still like the Tomorrowlands premise :] Not quite as much as I like Fireborn's, but they're pretty close, so that's all good. I can't find anyone to play Fireborn with me (not like I know a darn thing about dice games anyway) so I'm JUST as happy to play Tomorrowlands. I think it would be really fun, and I'd LOVE to participate if you're going to run something like that!
