things and stuff
A few nights ago, I was siting on a bench/chair thing in the patioish area of a guest house reading. I moved and I hear something metallic falling to the ground. I look down and see a small key. I has magically appeared*.
Since it was a magic key, I figured I'd try and open the bathroom door that had been accidentally locked shut. While they key didn't really fit the lock, it still unlocked it. Magic!**
Sadly, when I tried it on the padlock to the fire escape (!) it didn't work. But I kept it anyway.

While I don't really miss the see when I don't see it, I do appreciate it when it's near. Being able to sit in a little cafe thing (or just on a metal pylon thing) and stare into the harbour here (Sandakan) is really nice. I still can't believe it's the Pacific ocean, which is stupid after almost two years in Asia...

*Ok, it probably just fell off the chair, but! I didn't see it during the considerable amount of time I'd been sitting there.
