- Tokyo Babylon/X - Tree Spirit [ Fan Art Site ] - I had a quick conversation with a friend about this site and when she said one of the illustrations was beautiful, but heartbreaking, I responded with, "Isn't it, though? A lot of her art is like that, she draws these beautiful, but just heartbreaking Subaru illustrations. And the other half of her art are these adorable, heart-warming TB-style illustrations that just make you hurt for him all over again, knowing what's coming." And that's really what made me fall in love with this site, that the artist captured the feeling of the characters, the bright sparkliness one minute, the gorgeous, heartbreaking tragedy the next. Not to mention, the illustrations are just stunningly beautiful. No wonder I love TBX artists so much. *_* (Some SeishirouxSubaru.)
- DNAngel - My December by Meg - I am oh-so-very-slowly making my way towards DNAngel. I admit that the anime is what's pushing me in the direction of the series as a whole (even if it does suck), but I also like to think I have a semi-decent ability to recognize when something is well written and terrifically in character... and I adored this fic. The subtle way both Dark and Satoshi were written, the way they commented on art, the way Dark was just so... Dark... I adored it all. Wrap all that up in a nice coating of lovely, beautiful writing and you've got yourself a happy blossoming DNAngel fangirl. ^_~ (Some shounen ai implications.)
- Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This is one of those sites where I can't point to a single illustration that made me say, "Ooh! I must rec that!" because while the art is good, it's the kind of good that's just quietly, solidly good and pretty to look at. I think my favorite thing about the artist is the colors she uses, the shading with them is just wonderful, and... I dunno... everyone is so cute! And pretty. XD Plus, the artist does a good selection of all the characters, making this one of those sites that's just a treat to go through on a quiet morning sometime. ^_^ (No warnings/pairings.)
- Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - I tried to resist rec'ing this page, because while the art was cute and pretty, I just have the hardest time getting into KeigoSengoku/SengokuKeigo. But... the art is really kinda pretty, the artist draws them with these light, airy backgrounds/colors that make them look really lovely, and her lines are good, and I could flutter over them if this were my pairing. But what broke me were the two Hyotei illustrations with all of the members, they were lovely. *_* And then there was a beautiful Yamabuki one and a beautiful St. Rudolph's one and... just... I was sold. *sparkles* (KeigoSengoku/SengokuKeigo.)
- Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - All right, I admit that I'm recing this one largely just because it's TezukaKeigo and I go nuts for that paring (as it's semi-rare), but I actually really do rather like the art. The coloring is nice and the artist captures the feeling the characters so well. She captures their intensity and that spark of pure chemistry between these two amazing characters. I admit that the illustrations could use some work, especially the proportions, but I find that don't care so much when I'm going through the gallery and it makes me hop up and down happily. She does do some really cute ones and then there's this little series of chibis that I must have literally squeaked over because they were So. Effing. Adorable. *sparklesparklesparkle* Plus? Keigo licking ice cream off Tezuka? I swoon. (TezukaKeigo, some OshitariKeigo.)
- Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Sometimes, when I go back to a site, just to see if they've updated, I discover an entirely new section on the site that I'd never seen before, and that's what happened with this site. I'd seen the art before and it was cute, but I hadn't rec'd it (I don't think), but when I went back this afternoon, I found my way into the adult section and... WHEE! SMUTTY GAMES! *ahem* I spent much, much time playing those games, and amused myself with them--the first thing I said to everyone I was chatting with was, "YAY! I win! Naked Fuji! *takes screen capture* XD" There's also TezukaFuji smut and MomoRyo smutty game and just, oh, I had a marvelous time. *sparkles* (TezukaFuji, MomoRyo, some graphic content.)
- Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This artist's style took me a bit to get into, some of the early work is a little rough, but as the artist goes along, she gets better and better and I really rather like some of her newer stuff. Her colors are good, it's just something with the lines... maybe I'm just not used to the style. It's very... not quite sparkly, but very... colored. But the later illustrations, especially the TezuFuji ones, are really cute, I really like the colors, and there's this one of them on the roof that I really liked. Ooh! Ooh! And the one of them in these pretty winter/fall scarves that I liked a lot! So, it was one of those sites that was just kinda fun for me to go through. (TezukaFuji.)
