- Naruto/Slayers/Inuyasha - [ German/English Fanart Site ] - [ artist's deviantART account ] - This is one of those sites that I just sorta had fun with; the art was cute and adorable (especially the Slayers stuff) or it had this really nice, light, airy sketchy feel to it that really worked (like with the Inuyasha stuff--I'm especially enamored with her Sesshoumaru/Inuyasha illustrations. Little!Inuyasha hanging onto Sesshoumaru's sleeve as they approached a post-battle site? Totally sent me into fits of Teh Kyuute. But the one one of Inuyasha leaning back against Sesshoumaru also just... dammit, why do I like them so much? Whatever it is, this artist tapped into that affection a little with her art.) With the Slayers stuff, I especially liked her group stuff--there's one of the main cast flying in the sky that's just GREAT and there's a REALLY COOL one of Zelas-Metallium and Xellos and the artist seems a little fond of Xellos/Zelgadiss, so I'll forgive the Xellos/Filia bias. *hisses and spits* (*RUNS* Kidding, kidding, nobody hit me! >___>) And her newest Naruto stuff is really good--the one with baby!Sasuke pulling on Itachi's hair? Genius. The chibi Kimimaro is also lovely and I adore the Lina/Zel illustration on the dA account (make sure to browse both, since I think some art is on one site and a lot is on another) and the "Fireflies" Naruto one is beautifully colored. Just... fun, all in all. <3 (Uchiha-friendly, slightly Sasuke/Sakura, some Xellos/Filia, some Xellos/Zelgadiss, I don't know how to classify the Inuyasha stuff.)
- Death Note - [ English Fanart Site ] - I adore the watercolors-like effects of this artist's style, which somehow really works for the style she has with her art. It looks really smooth and clean, which isn't necessarily something I associate with Death Note, but it works well here. I wish there were more than a handful of illustrations, but I liked them enough to rec them, I guess, because the artist has some really good detail to her art, but without overwhelming the images. <3 (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Bleach/Cardcaptor Sakura/Harry Potter - Edamane Sircus [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Ohhh, I love the three top illustrations on this site (they're random, so you have to keep refreshing/re-clicking onto the main page), they're just... beautifully colored and nicely detailed and I knew I would love this site after seeing them. The CCS/CLAMP art is really pretty, the colors are just excellent and, c'mon, you know you want to see Yukito with bunny ears and holding chibi-bunny!Yue, Sakura, and Syaoran in his arms while talking to cat!Eriol. XD But there's also a nice one of Eriol with Ruby Moon and the best comic with Clow and Syaoran. The Bleach art is even better, just beautifully colored and there are a couple that utterly steal my breath away. And, finally, the Harry Potter art is just as adorable, it uses the same sense of lovely colors and nice details to create a really... warm feeling, I guess. And that's what I like about these illustrations, they're all that pretty, warm sort of style, even if they're not particularily nice illustrations? Plus. You know. ADORABLE Remus. ♥ Good, good site. (Errr... maybe some vague shounen-ai? But seems more gag/silly than anything.)
- Eyeshield 21 - Gindama Explorer [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I really kinda liked this artist for three reasons--one, her Sakuraba is quite nice, the colors and details on him showing that she's really fond of the character. His hair and eyes are especially noticable, very pretty and drawn perfectly. Two, her Shin/Sakuraba illustrations are really cute and just made me sparkle over them. Three, if you can find it, she also draws smut that's nice. I wouldn't have put the art down as actual shounen ai if I hadn't found that gallery, but after seeing it... well, you could still take the gallery proper as more gen-ish than anything, but I really like the smutty oekaki. But I also like the gen stuff, too, especially the one group image of most of the major characters--Hiruma in the background with his gun is great. XD (Shin/Sakuraba.)
- Eyeshield 21 - Lobster Kick [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Wow, this artist's art is actually really pretty impressive--the third illustration down from the top in the Eyeshield 21 section is this one of Hiruma doing the >_> look while in full football gear and it's just... it's REALLY GOOD, I love the colors, I love the lines, I love the shading, it all came together to give the image a very lush look. And... hell, the artist is good enough to make me still fawn over pairings that wouldn't normally be my thing (Shin/Hiruma made me blink a lot, but... damn, if it isn't beautiful), because her lines are often just flat-out fantastic and her colors amazing and I am in LOVE with Hiruma's hair, because it seems to always look so richly detailed. Just... it's one of those sites that won me over even when the content wasn't my thing, so I have to really think highly of the art for that. ^_~ (Just about everyone/Hiruma, lots of shounen-ai.)
- Eyeshield 21 - Binary 5 [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - There's an illustration on this site that is utterly, utterly gorgeous and I'm not even sure I could begin to describe the style, just... the lines and colors are amazing, it still somehow keeps the Eyeshield 21 style and designs, but is so beautiful, the way Shin is leaning over Sakuraba, about to kiss him. The detail on Sakuraba's hair is incredible and they're both utterly gorgeous and the intimacy of the picture is amazing and the folds of Sakuraba's shirt are amazing and just... yes, the site is worth visiting for that illustration alone. However, the entire site is good--strong lines, subtle colors, recognizable characters/style, really fantastic group illustrations, especially the two different ones of Hiruma, Sena, Shin, and Sakuraba. There's also a good chunk of nice oekaki--I really, really liked the ones of Shin and Sakuraba in knightly gear, they looked very cool. Very, very nice site. (Some Shin/Sakuraba, some other shounen-ai.)
- Final Fantasy 7 - K.Haruka Company [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I... don't know what posessed me to seek out Final Fantasy 7 stuff this morning, I probably just saw a random link, happened to click on it and then stumbled over this site, but... I'm kinda glad I did, because I have a real fondness for Cid/Vincent and this site just sort of fed right into that. There's a lot of art here and it's all... that cute doujinshi style that's so much fun to collect off of Yahoo!Japan. (Which would because I think they ARE doujinshi covers?) The artist does a really nice Vincent--there are certain illustrations on the site that are wonderfully detailed and the covers of her books, from 1997-2003 are often times really pretty, really kinda creepy, or just OMG LOOKIT THE CUTE CHIBI CID AND VINCENT AHAHAHA SO CUTE I WANT ONE! And, really, what more can I ask of a site than that? Good, solid art that's befitting a doujinshika, cute chibis, pretty angsty bishounen, and a lot of art? XD XD XD (Cid/Vincent.)
