Notes/Babbling: *blinks* Prince of Tennis fanart? What's this mythical creature that has not been seen roaming through the journal for so long now? ....yeah, okay, I got nothin'. (Surprisingly, I had a more difficult time finding new FMA fanart tonight. Huh.)

Prince of Tennis/Lord of the Rings - Cherrymania [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - This is one of those sites that may not appeal to everyone but that I found that, even if it didn't have my favorite pairings (Well, I like KamioShinji a lot. ♥) I was won over by the sheer level of detail with the images. The artist puts a lot of time into each and every one and those who are Senbe fans or Fudomine fans will probably really like it--the artist also does really nice things with her colors, though, I'm at a loss how to explain just exactly what that is. They're very shiny/glowy, though, but in a really nice way. It's also nice to see the occasional site that's all over the map--while Senbe and Kamio/Shinji seem to get the most attention, there are also some really beautiful Rikkai illustrations here, there's some wonderful group Hyoutei illustrations, there was a nice AkuSen as well, it had one of my new favorite Jackal/Marui illustrations, too... so probably something here for everyone. ♥
Now, originally, I wasn't going to put this in the LotR section because there's only about six illustrations or so, but. There's this one of Legolas on a horse while he leans over to kiss Aragorn that was just absolute stunning. There was also one of Aragorn kissing Legolas at the end of Return of the King that was just absolutely beautifully drawn and also took my breath away. These were some of the most flat-out beautiful LotR fanart I've ever seen, so I had to include them. (Main focuses are Senbe and KamioShinji, but it's an inter-school site, with a good dollop of Rikkai on it. Aragorn/Legolas for LotR.)

Prince of Tennis - Hanahime [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Every once in awhile, I stumble over a TezuFuji site that's just... it's soft and romantic, but without being girly, and it puts me back into that *hanyan~* mode with this pairing that made me fall for them in the first place. This artist's Tezuka and Fuji are both lovely and she uses these soft, almost pastel colors to get the romantic feeling across that works so, so well to my eyes. The style might not be for non-TezuFuji fans, but for those of us who rabu them madly, I think this site is quite enjoyable. The TezuFuji illustrations themselves are the prettiest, but there are also a couple of Fuji-only illustrations that are fantastic--especially of him wrapped up in ribbons. Much, much love for this site. ♥ (TezukaFuji.)

Prince of Tennis - Bitter Vanity [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Honestly, I think the thing I liked most about this site (other than the initial TezuFuji illustration towards the beginning of the page ^_~) were the group Hyoutei illustrations. The artist did a lot of cute ToriShishi/ShishiTori ones that I liked a lot, but it was her group art that really sold me, because Hyoutei was a team in them. And a little goofy--I have a dear, dear love of Hyoutei managing to stop being snobby for a few minutes and being a goofy team. (It's what I love about Seigaku as well.) I think I actually liked the artist's b&w comics the most, because they really showcased her lovely lineart and showed off the really pretty shading she does. Plus, her ToriShishi is the kind that's just so damn cute that I could scoop them up and snuggle them for an endless amount of time. ♥ There's also a gorgeous Atobe mini-comic that I fell in love with because it had Tezuka in it because he was just so amazingly drawn. Beautiful, beautiful art here. *__* (Hyoutei-centric, ToriShishi-friendly.)

Prince of Tennis - [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - Holy crap, this artist is good. There are a few places in her art that are a little bit off (the faces tend to be too round-ish), but beyond that this artist has mastered the CG style of anime series. The art is nearly on par with the official art from the series--that's how strong her colors, lines, and shading are here. There's this one of Eiji in rock star gear that's just flat-out incredible with how amazing it looks and the one of Fuji in police shirt also looks just amazing. At first, I honestly couldn't tell which of the two was her favorite because they were both done so beautifully--and the FujiEiji illustrations (a pairing I'm not wild about, so for me to praise it like this... ^_~) were really, really wonderful. Though, you can tell Eiji is her favorite by going through the sketches--he's absolutely adorable there. (FujiEiji, but it could be almost purely gen.)

Full Metal Alchemist - Another Heaven [ Japanese Fan Art Site ] - The thing that keeps jumping out at me about this artist's work is two things--one she uses sparklies a lot in her art, but I couldn't bring myself to dislike it because it worked really well for her style, I thought they were very pretty. The other is that she draws Ed's eyes beautifully; pretty much no matter what illustration he was in, I always found my gaze being drawn towards his beautifully drawn, detailed and almost delicate but not girly eyes. Her colors are very nice, she uses the softener feature very well. There's clearly a love for the Al/Ed relationship here and most of the images in her regular gallery could almost be taken as gen--but you are going to want to skip this one if Al/Ed bothers you greatly. But I couldn't resist, especially when the artist drew both boys in glasses, their hair so golden blonde that it nearly gleamed, and they looked so beautiful.... *sparkles* Lovely art. ^_^v (Al/Ed, a little bit of Roy/Ed, some graphic AlxEd content--do not hit the R-18/R-20 sections unless you are mature enough to handle that.)
