30 Rock: how jack donaghy got his groove back, with whales by dollsome - So, I was browsing this meme (a meme after my own heart!) and stopped to read this fic, even if I've kind of sworn off 30 Rock for awhile. But, oh, it was perfect, the dialogue was right out of the most brilliant episodes, it was impossible not to see the entire scene unfolding right in my head, and it was amazing. So many references that had me just about shrieking with laughter! (The Glee reference was totally my favorite.) But also the dynamic between Jack and Liz, it was perfect and beautiful and all the little touches on Liz's point of view were pitch-perfect. Dammit, this is why I can't quit the fandom. (Jack/Liz.)
Bones: fast food and testosterone spills by dress without sleeves - Oh, I don't read too much Bones fic (though, I'm not sure why it doesn't click with me, maybe a lack of humor most times?) but this one caught my eye--Booth, Bones, and Sweets at the bowling alley. "You know, it's a statistical impossibility for Booth to be good at everything." Oh, Sweets. That is so untrue.--and it was pretty much pure perfection. Sweets' frustration at how Booth seems good at everything, Brennan's total lack of understanding what Sweets is going through even though she technically understands all the words, and Booth being so Booth, it's all done brilliantly here. Community: mostly like white noise by ohladybegood - I don't think I stopped grinning the entire way through this fic, because Jeff's internatl narration as he tries not to think those thoughts about Annie, how he tries not to care about these people, even though they're turning him into a real person, damn them, and all the little touches with the various characters and the hilarity of Annie's ex-boyfriend Bruce, all of it was beautiful. And I love that it didn't even really have to be that much about romance with Annie and Jeff (even though the undercurrents were there), it was just a moment of real connection and delicious UST and that's all it needed to be. This was a total gem to find today. ♥ (Jeff/Annie, sort of, but it could almost be gen.)
Sherlock: London Calling by chaletian - This is another link that Siobhan gave me and it's a short piece ostensibly about John's phone, but really about the way his life has changed since he got it, even if it's not really about the phone. The writing is lovely and the characterization is spot-on, but the real highlight is in the little details of his life now. The kinds of texts he gets, the people he gets the texts from, the wording of some of them, it's all just a really delightful little character piece. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- AngelBeats! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I went through a really intense phase with AngelBeats!, but I wasn't doing entire account recs at the time, so I feel like my recs for the series are going to be kind of half-assed, but, well. When I stumble over some pretty stuff, I can't help it. And this artist does these really softly colored, almost pastel group images and Yuri images and Hinata and Otonashi images and even more epic group images that I'm all really weak to. The style is almost sort of like sketches, but sometimes that really, really works for this artist because they can do some really excellent lineart work. I find that the images look really excellent in full view and the detail on some of them is kind of amazing and the variety of the characters involved is really good as well. This artist really sort of embodies so much of what kept me so feverish with the AngelBeats! fandom for so many weeks. *__* (Nothing really consistent enough to warn for, mostly the account is pretty gen.)
- AngelBeats! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I hadn't really planned on doing more AngelBeats! recs today, I had too much else on my plate at the moment, but then this artist just sort of popped out at me and well. I can hardly resist an awesome group battle where everyone is loaded for bear with a shitload of guns, where Yuri and Hinata are packing some serious heat even above the others. I love that kind of thing in AngelBeats! fandom! But the other thing I love? Group hugs that are a big excuse to dog pile on each other. ♥ I love that this artist clearly likes Yuri a lot (since she was my favorite character) and it isn't necessarily 100% focused on her, but there's a strong presence for her throughout the artist's work and that just. Makes me really happy, to have excellent artwork of her. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, granted, there's not a ton of art here yet, but! (And you can find what there is here, to make it easier.) The artist hasn't been doing Bleach art that long and she's doing these really bright, vivid colors that I totally love and, yeah, okay, I'm weak to adorable as hell chibis of Ichigo and Orihime. There's also a gorgeous set of Orihime images from 425 that have the same amazingly bright uses of orange that I'm in love with and there's more chibis and I'm hoping that the artist will continue to post more and more and just. SO MUCH CUTE THAT I COULD EXPLODE and I love the artist for being an Orihime fan as much as I love it for the ship potential and for the adorable as hell lines and colors and concepts. This is why I can't quit Bleach fandom, not really ever. (Some potential Ichigo/Orihime, but mostly gen.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - Well, as long as I was in the Bleach corner on Pixiv, I could hardly resist poking around a little, now could I? One of the things I've always liked about the J-fandom of Bleach is that they can get me interested in a lot of things that I'll scroll right on by with in the English fandom, for whatever reason. And this artist has two of those things--Espada art (focusing on Szayel-Aporro and maybe Nnoitra), some of which are really amazing, and also Ulquiorra/Orihime, which I want to like, but... *waves hands vaguely* But this artist does a really great job of making me want to look at all of their art, to go back over it even when I know I've seen all their art before. Because the lineart is really sharp and the details can be really amazing and it's just. Beautiful artwork. (Espada/Szayel-Aporro, some Ulquiorra/Orihime, maybe some gen if you step carefully.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - There's not a ton of Bleach art here, really only six images, but! I stopped by because of the most recent (at the time of this rec) Urahara/Yoruichi image that's just gorgeous and followed back to the rest of the gallery and. Even if it's not a lot of art, what's here is really all gorgeous. The Kuukaku image is also just stunning as all get out and the artist did some really excellent Shinji images and just. I'm kind of a little bit in love and I couldn't resist--even if I really hope there's more in the future. *__* (Nothing consitent enough to warn for.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist's favorite character is clearly Shinji, but it's hard to mind when there's such enthusiasm for the character and the artist has really improved tons over the course of the gallery, even when they started out solid. But the more recent stuff--like Shinji and Hiyori ready to battle or Shinji in his shinigami robes or Shinji and Urahara in the park or a group image of the Vizards--is really fantastic stuff. Very occasionally there's also an image like Orihime and Tatsuki, but the majority of the account is very focused on Shinji and it... it kind of reminds me of how much I came to love the character, how great an addition he was to the cast in Bleach. The interactions with the other Vizards or Ichigo or Aizen or, oh, man, with Urahara, it's all just gold--both in the manga and in this artist's hands. (Nothing I'd really say is shippy, this is a pretty gen account.)
- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - You know what I love about the Durarara!! art on Pixiv? That there are so many artists doing gorgeous art of Orihara sibling hilarity and Shizuo/Izaya art, which are two of my favorite things in fandom! This artist has a bit of a messy style at times, but the colors are lovely and there are some images that are really sharp and just fantastic to look at. After awhile, all the art in the Durarara!! fandom starts to blur together, but that makes it no less enjoyable and several of the pieces on this site (like this delightful Halloween image with Shizuo and Izaya) still manage to stand out for me--like this epic group image. That's all I ask. :D P.S. The Orihara sisters? Still awesome. (Some Shizuo/Izaya, some gen.)
- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist is one I've seen several times, I've come across the art on a lot of bookmark pages and seen them linked a lot, and for good reason. The Shizuo/Izaya art that this artist does are some of the fandom classics--they're very epic pieces, tons of detail and great lines, some really nicely done colors and all very complicated poses. Just looking at the art, you can tell the artist's manga/doujinshi (of which there are several samples of on this account) is very practiced and on a professional level and is just some really gorgeous stuff when the artist sets their mind to it. I could hardly start a Durarara!! reccomending spree without stopping by this artist's work. (Some Shizuo/Izaya, some Shizuo/Kasuka, some gen.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, technically, I know there are only three or so submissions so far, but! I can justify this because this series of images has seven of them together, which brings the total up to almost ten images total on the account and, whatever, that can totally be enough. And, okay. So, there's this game, El Shaddai. I've heard of it on the gaming sites, of course, but I was wary of the art style and it's a platformer--NO THANK YOU. But... then Pixiv came along... and there was all this art of a dark-haired guy that seemed very pretty... and poking around... oh, it's Lucifel from El Shaddai... and I tried to resist... but then there was a lot of Lucifel/Enoch art that was super pretty! And, shit, I was sunk. And this artist just feeds right into that, with the adorable art and the hilarious art (seriously, anyone getting a faceful of wings is always hilarious) and the lovely colors they use and the smooth, clean lines and, shit, I think I ship this ship forever now. orz But this artist has some lovely art and I would love to see more from her. ♥ (Lucifel/Enoch.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another reason I'm being slowly dragged into this fandom, at least on Pixiv? Because occasionally this fandom provides me porn! There's a lot of shippable stuff on Pixiv with Lucifel/Enoch, but there's only so much of that you can take before you finally just want makeouts and this isn't one of the first I've stumbled on, but it's one of the first I've stumbled on when I started doing recs, so it came at a really good time for me. It's maybe not directly as Lucifel/Encoch as I'd like, it's kind of more like Enoch being porny by himself, but it's still a step in the right direction, fandom! Though, I do like Lucifel putting a hand on Enoch's shoulder and this series of images has some nice ones in it--all together, it makes for a satisfying stop on my tour through this part of the fandom. (Some Lucifel/Enoch, some NC-17.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another account with not a lot of El Shaddai art, but, whatever, because the art that is here is kind of totally charming and just won me right over. I was wavering a little when I stumbled over this adorable image of Lucifel and Enoch in a really cute, casual setting with such pretty patterns and plants surrounding them, but I really had to cave at this battle-ready image of the two of them with butterfly patterns all over it, because the detail is gorgeous and I love everything about it. Hopefully, since the art that's here is very recent (at the time of this rec, of course), the artist will do more and that's part of what I'm banking on with the justifcation for this rec. But also I just really, really like what's here already. *__* (This could be gen, but it could also be Lucifel/Enoch.)
- Final Fantasy XIII - [ Pixiv Account ] - I admit, I came here for the lovely Hope/Lightning art, but sort of wound up staying for the beautiful Lightning art all by herself, because that dress is kind of fantastic. Seriously, I kind of love the clothes on Lightning that this artist draws, they clearly have fun with her and I also love the cute Hope/Lightning comis and the softness of the artist's style, all of it is totally the kind of thing I eat up. Dammit, now I want more of this fandom again. (Some Hope/Lightning, some gen.)
- Final Fantasy XIII - [ Pixiv Account ] - I originally came here to look for N/White art... and wound up distracted by the Final Fantasy XIII art, because this artist does some really beautiful Hope/Lightning art, which included a few wedding images and, I can't lie, I am that fan and totally shrieked a little over them. I love the soft, lovely colors and the adorable poses and the seriously excellent multi-page comics of sexytimes from when Hope is clearly old enough and just. Pretty much everything about this artist's account is designed to induce shipper squee in me, which I adore it for. Plus, you know. Genuinely pretty art! And only getting better as time goes on! ♥ (Hope/Lightning.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I know I've linked to art from this artist's account before, but never properly recommended the actual account itself, which I clearly have to do now. I always recognize this artist because it's kind of amazing how well she nails Amano's style, except somehow has gotten to be even more gorgeous. I suspect that it's the fantastic coloring she does and the glossy look to everything, though, the attention to detail doesn't hurt--seriously, Giotto's suit is kind of seriously hot. And, okay, it helps that the artist has also done a couple of Dino/Hibari images that also look amazing, but I love everything here, she's absolutely one of my favorites in this fandom. *__* (Occasional pairings, mostly Mukuro/Tsuna, Mukuro/Hibari, Dino/Hibari, but it's also a very gen site much of the time.)
- Kuroshitsuji - [ Pixiv Account ] - I originally came here for the Panty and Stocking art (of which there is an awesome boy!Stocking image) but then quickly discovered that the artist is even more of a Kuroshitsuji fan and has done some seriously gorgeous work for it. There may not be an absolute ton here, but the butler porn here is absolutely delicious and totally worth a visit just for that. The images are beautifully detailed and the artist clearly knows the kind of person that would read Kuroshitsuji (which I am totally that fan for) and creates some really delightful pieces to cater to that. I definitely wanted more from this artist, from whatever series she wanted to draw. (No real warnings/pairings, aside from the usual stuff in Kuroshitsuji.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is one of those artists that I really kind of love and, yet, if you'd told me a year ago that I would be all over a Crocodile artist, I would not have believed you. Not that Crocodile is the only focus here, there's a lot of great art of Ace and Luffy sleeping on each other or fighting over food or what have you, but the majority of the focus probably does fall on various Crocodile pairings. And, I have to hand it to the artist, I don't recall seeing a lot of Crocodile and Mihawk or Crocodile and Mr. 1 or Crocodile and Kid of all people! There's also the occasional bit of him with Luffy or Doflamingo, like usual, but what really sells me on this artist (aside from the novelty, which I'm a big sucker for) is how beautiful all of the art is. The lines are sharp and clean, the colors are smooth and the details are nicely done and it's that kind of art that just totally does it for me. It's a really excellent account to browse through, even if you're not a big Crocodile fan. (Several/Crocodile, but there's not enough consistency to really label it, except for Mihawk/Crocodile, maybe. Also, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I... have to admit, I'm not sure precisely how to describe my affection for this artist's work, aside from saying that I'm still kind of really weak to novelty. Between a female Kid and Zoro and Jewelery art and some nicely done Luffy and Sanji in bed together (which isn't novel, but still makes me happy) and some very nicely done Kid/Law art (also not novel, but Pixiv has it growing on me) and even the occasional bit of D Kyoudai, I just... somehow was won over? It's a Pixiv sort of thing, I guess? Some of the art is a little cracky, I'll definitely warn for that ahead of time, but some of the art is also really pretty! Which... is pretty much the spirit of Pixiv right there. XD (Some Kid/Law, some Sanji/Luffy, some other, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I was a little unsure of this artist at first and, while I enjoy art of it often times, the Luffy/Hancock ship isn't one that immediately pulls me into an artist's account, but... I dunno, maybe it was the rather nice Sanji sketch or Luffy/Hancock being very pretty or the handful of Ace art, but whatever it was, I was won over to the artist's style, the light, airy sketch style that I like and the soft use of colors and the nice amount of detail. I would really like to see what this artist does in the future, you can see the progression over the span of the gallery, and I think they could produce some really excellent work! In the meantime, I quite enjoyed what they have already. <3 (Some Luffy/Hancock, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is going to be another one of those artists where a lot of people aren't going to react the same way I did, I suspect. And I know a lot of it is because the artist got into stuff I totally love--a Strawhats group image, Ace, Roger, and Rouge hilarity, the boys of One Piece, Ace and Luffy being adorable, Ace watching Luffy sleep, the occasional really lovely piece--and I'm a sucker for when an artist gets inside my wheelhouse. But it's also the soft, almost pastel colors the artist uses, the potential for some really epic group scenes as the artist gets more practice, the focus on Ace and Luffy that always makes me happy, etc. I really enjoyed this one honestly, even if it's not going to be for everyone. (This is pretty gen, but I'll also include it in the Ace/Luffy section, despite that it's gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Originally, I had planned to stop for the night, because I already had a bunch of OP recs to go, but then I stumbled over this account... and, well. I am super weak to super fun D Kyoudai art, especially when there's bonus Sabo in the images! Also, Ace and Luffy with guns in badass poses? I did not know how badly I needed that in my life until I got it. Or Ace and Luffy kidlets sitting in a tree as they look out over the country, which is seriously more goddamned adorable. I wound up kind of wanting to link to absolutely everything in this gallery, but firmly held myself back, because this is another one of those right in my wheelhouse kind of artists--lots of focus on a relationship I love, strong and clean lineart, solid and bright colors, excellent poses and situations to put the characters in, and even some fanservicey stuff like school uniforms and bonus Sabo to tug on my heartstrings. The combination of lovely art + getting at my fangirl nature = super win for this site. P.S. However, screw you, OP artist, for making me cry again. (This is a gen account, but if you like Ace/Luffy, you should like this.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - The only downside of the amazing PSwG fandom on Pixiv is that, despite that we're on episode six, most of the artists only have one, maybe two images in their galleries. I have been dying to do more recs for this series because the art is amazing, but I just can't justify recs yet. But this artist has managed six images so far and, bingo!, that's enough for me! It's a very cute style, but with really lush colors to make them look almost like paintings and I think Stocking is quickly growing to be my favorite, but this fandom is making me very, very fond of boy versions of Panty and Stocking and this artist continues that trend. I was totally delighted to come across this artist today. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - And then this artist has five minutes on their account and, thus, totally enough for me! This artist is more in line with the art style of the show, that very cartoony, stylized look, but I don't mind that sometimes, especially when they really kind of nail it. As always, I gravitate towards Stocking as my favorite, because I love her character design and the way artists use the dark blues, pinks, and purples on her, but this one of Panty is also really nice. I'd love to see more from this artist and have hopes since they've already done this much at least! o/ (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - I alllllmost wasn't going to be able to justify this account, either, until I got to this series of images (of which there are 11 together) and saw that the artist had a solid amount already! o/ Again, it's more of the cartoon-y style and I wish I had more of the traditional anime-style stuff to recommend, but! I did find this artist's account to be a nice fix for when I was in the mood for more art--judging by their other art, they could do some nicely detailed stuff in the future and they do well with the canon style, too. - Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - Now, this is closer to what I've been hoping to find! Even if there's not a lot of submissions proper in the gallery, thanks to the series of images (that has eight of them in there), I can totally justify recommending this account! Plus, hopefully there will be more art from this artist in the future. While the style often retains a lot of the cutesy quality, so it's a cross between the usual canon style and the more tradtional anime style, I rather like it. Both Panty and Stocking look great in the sketches, both of them get images where they're pretty epic, and I also really like this image and the poses for the characters on it. This is another one of those accounts where I got my fix for the series and am a little more satisfied. (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)

Genderswitch Panty and Stocking! Possible Stocking/Panty shipping! And both girls being awesome! All things I enjoy seeing. :Db The style is towards the canon again, but the images look good in full view and the colors are bright and the characters awesome. That's all I needed! - Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I sort of debated on this account, mostly because there's not a ton of art here and I know there are way bigger accounts with some really epic art that I just haven't had the time to track down again yet, so I felt I should have started with those instead, but. Then I hit this artist's take on the Pokemon girls and I just couldn't let that one slip by. There's not a ton of art here and a lot of it is doodles or simple sketches, but there's the occasional adorable group pile-up with the HGSS characters and I was totally won over. Really, that's all I ask sometimes. :D (Maybe a little everyone/Hibiki, but.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I have been so torn on whether or not to really sink my teeth into Pokemon Black/White fandom on Pixiv, because I'm sort of trying to wait so I don't get spoiled (since apparently there's sort of a plot this time around?) but... I am weak to Pokemon art and I'm kind of shipping N/White pretty hardcore already (I am such a sucker for any ships with the female lead characters) and I know I'll get overwhelmed if I try to wait until March to start in on them. So, whatever, I'm totally going to start now, even though I shouldn't before I've actually played the game. Not that there's a ton of art here, but! Look at how freaking cute they are! And the artist has this really neat coloring style that's really soft and cute (they're braiding each other's hair in that image, how am I supposed to resist that??) and it just. Sort of made me cave that much further again. orz (Some N/White.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - Well. As long as I was caving on doing N/White shipper recs, I could hardly just stop at one, now could I? There's not a ton of art here, at least not compared to some of the accounts I've seen in the fandom, but between the Pokemon Black&White girls and adorable N/White art and N being kind of a hotass, I was charmed by this artist's work. I'd have liked to have seen more non-doodles and comics art, but I like that everything here is pretty fun and adorable and occasionally kind of really hot. :Db (N/White.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - Oh, man, this artist is kind of designed to play on my weaknesses. First, White braiding N's hair and then Matsuba and Kotone cuteness and then Silver adorabless with Kotone in the background and just. It didn't matter at that point that there wasn't a ton of art to be found with this artist, I was ridiculously fond of it already! Sometimes I just want some brightly colored, light and airy cuteness, which this account delivered. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - While there aren't a lot of submissions proper to this account, because there are a handful of multi-image submissions with a lot of great images (N/White adorable kiss! gijinka versions of the Legendaries!) or stil more great sketches (Black with the smug little leaf one! adorable little kidlet N!), it actually wound up being a really satisfying account for me. I do wish the artist had done a little more traditionally finished art because dark Black and the BW girls are kind of ridiculously fantastic images and really show off the artist's great use of black&white with splashes of really vivid color. Definitely an artist I enjoyed and would love to see more from! (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Sailor Moon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I believe I've recommended this artist's deviantart account and probably their website before, but, whatever, they are one of my absolute favorite Sailor Moon artists in this fandom and, thus, I am totally justifying this. I've had it in the back of my head to go looking for SM fanart on Pixiv sometime because I've had a few artists that are on my Rec Right The Hell Now list but when I stumbled over the artist's latest Haruka, Setsuna, and Michiru image I couldn't wait. This artist does amazing things with colors and details in images that look like paintings and every single image she does turns out amazing and, hell, how do you pick a favorite with an artist who has that many images on her account or does stunning things with colors and has some of the most epic art pretty much ever? Her affection for the Senshi of the series, the 2D style of art (which is the best way I can think to describe it) and her epic concepts for the images all fit with what Sailor Moon art should be in my mind, this artist really does justice to this series and these characters that I love so much. - VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist has an amazingly vivid and bright style, the detail in the work is lovely, but it's the nearly glowing colors that really do me in here. Even when it's not my ship, the Kaito/Meiko art was gorgeous or a dark, sort of gothic image of the VOCALOID boys or even getting me to really stop and stare at one of those Miku Append images. (Though, I also really love the darker, flatter stuff because it really shows off the fine lines of the art.) Whatever this artist draws, I'm probably totally going to be onboard with because it's all just so very pretty. (Nothing consistent enough to warn for.)
- VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - I stumbled over this artist because of this stunning Miku image with the gorgeous patterns on her traditional clothing and makeup and the butterflies flying around her, but then followed it back to the rest of the gallery and just fell totally in love. That one is probably my very favorite, but I also really like the artist's take on a lighter, hazier style with Luka or with Rin. The artist's use of softer colors and the attention to detail and all the epic hair are things that totally get me, especially when an artist does a gorgeous job like this. It's artists like this that made me fall in love with the fandom in the first place. ♥ (No warnings/pairings.)
- VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - Sometimes the idea of having VOCALOID ships at all is a little weird to me, because... well, VOCALOID! But then I see an artist who does really beautiful Miku and Luka art and I'm like, "....yes plz." And that's one of the things I love about this fandom--the awesome girls and how happily fandom is willing to ship them or just draw them being gorgeous together! Or how willing they are to give Luka a gun or how often you see amazing Just Be Friends art or how badass Luka is with her guitar or, even when she's in skimpy clothes, Miku still looks awesome. You can tell Luka is the artist's favorite, but there's art of all the VOCALOID girls and it's all this really light, prettily colored stuff that I totally go for. *__* (No real warnings/pairings.)

30 Rock: how jack donaghy got his groove back, with whales by dollsome - So, I was browsing this meme (a meme after my own heart!) and stopped to read this fic, even if I've kind of sworn off 30 Rock for awhile. But, oh, it was perfect, the dialogue was right out of the most brilliant episodes, it was impossible not to see the entire scene unfolding right in my head, and it was amazing. So many references that had me just about shrieking with laughter! (The Glee reference was totally my favorite.) But also the dynamic between Jack and Liz, it was perfect and beautiful and all the little touches on Liz's point of view were pitch-perfect. Dammit, this is why I can't quit the fandom. (Jack/Liz.)
Bones: fast food and testosterone spills by dress without sleeves - Oh, I don't read too much Bones fic (though, I'm not sure why it doesn't click with me, maybe a lack of humor most times?) but this one caught my eye--Booth, Bones, and Sweets at the bowling alley. "You know, it's a statistical impossibility for Booth to be good at everything." Oh, Sweets. That is so untrue.--and it was pretty much pure perfection. Sweets' frustration at how Booth seems good at everything, Brennan's total lack of understanding what Sweets is going through even though she technically understands all the words, and Booth being so Booth, it's all done brilliantly here. Community: mostly like white noise by ohladybegood - I don't think I stopped grinning the entire way through this fic, because Jeff's internatl narration as he tries not to think those thoughts about Annie, how he tries not to care about these people, even though they're turning him into a real person, damn them, and all the little touches with the various characters and the hilarity of Annie's ex-boyfriend Bruce, all of it was beautiful. And I love that it didn't even really have to be that much about romance with Annie and Jeff (even though the undercurrents were there), it was just a moment of real connection and delicious UST and that's all it needed to be. This was a total gem to find today. ♥ (Jeff/Annie, sort of, but it could almost be gen.)
Sherlock: London Calling by chaletian - This is another link that Siobhan gave me and it's a short piece ostensibly about John's phone, but really about the way his life has changed since he got it, even if it's not really about the phone. The writing is lovely and the characterization is spot-on, but the real highlight is in the little details of his life now. The kinds of texts he gets, the people he gets the texts from, the wording of some of them, it's all just a really delightful little character piece. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- AngelBeats! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I went through a really intense phase with AngelBeats!, but I wasn't doing entire account recs at the time, so I feel like my recs for the series are going to be kind of half-assed, but, well. When I stumble over some pretty stuff, I can't help it. And this artist does these really softly colored, almost pastel group images and Yuri images and Hinata and Otonashi images and even more epic group images that I'm all really weak to. The style is almost sort of like sketches, but sometimes that really, really works for this artist because they can do some really excellent lineart work. I find that the images look really excellent in full view and the detail on some of them is kind of amazing and the variety of the characters involved is really good as well. This artist really sort of embodies so much of what kept me so feverish with the AngelBeats! fandom for so many weeks. *__* (Nothing really consistent enough to warn for, mostly the account is pretty gen.)
- AngelBeats! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I hadn't really planned on doing more AngelBeats! recs today, I had too much else on my plate at the moment, but then this artist just sort of popped out at me and well. I can hardly resist an awesome group battle where everyone is loaded for bear with a shitload of guns, where Yuri and Hinata are packing some serious heat even above the others. I love that kind of thing in AngelBeats! fandom! But the other thing I love? Group hugs that are a big excuse to dog pile on each other. ♥ I love that this artist clearly likes Yuri a lot (since she was my favorite character) and it isn't necessarily 100% focused on her, but there's a strong presence for her throughout the artist's work and that just. Makes me really happy, to have excellent artwork of her. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, granted, there's not a ton of art here yet, but! (And you can find what there is here, to make it easier.) The artist hasn't been doing Bleach art that long and she's doing these really bright, vivid colors that I totally love and, yeah, okay, I'm weak to adorable as hell chibis of Ichigo and Orihime. There's also a gorgeous set of Orihime images from 425 that have the same amazingly bright uses of orange that I'm in love with and there's more chibis and I'm hoping that the artist will continue to post more and more and just. SO MUCH CUTE THAT I COULD EXPLODE and I love the artist for being an Orihime fan as much as I love it for the ship potential and for the adorable as hell lines and colors and concepts. This is why I can't quit Bleach fandom, not really ever. (Some potential Ichigo/Orihime, but mostly gen.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - Well, as long as I was in the Bleach corner on Pixiv, I could hardly resist poking around a little, now could I? One of the things I've always liked about the J-fandom of Bleach is that they can get me interested in a lot of things that I'll scroll right on by with in the English fandom, for whatever reason. And this artist has two of those things--Espada art (focusing on Szayel-Aporro and maybe Nnoitra), some of which are really amazing, and also Ulquiorra/Orihime, which I want to like, but... *waves hands vaguely* But this artist does a really great job of making me want to look at all of their art, to go back over it even when I know I've seen all their art before. Because the lineart is really sharp and the details can be really amazing and it's just. Beautiful artwork. (Espada/Szayel-Aporro, some Ulquiorra/Orihime, maybe some gen if you step carefully.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - There's not a ton of Bleach art here, really only six images, but! I stopped by because of the most recent (at the time of this rec) Urahara/Yoruichi image that's just gorgeous and followed back to the rest of the gallery and. Even if it's not a lot of art, what's here is really all gorgeous. The Kuukaku image is also just stunning as all get out and the artist did some really excellent Shinji images and just. I'm kind of a little bit in love and I couldn't resist--even if I really hope there's more in the future. *__* (Nothing consitent enough to warn for.)
- Bleach - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist's favorite character is clearly Shinji, but it's hard to mind when there's such enthusiasm for the character and the artist has really improved tons over the course of the gallery, even when they started out solid. But the more recent stuff--like Shinji and Hiyori ready to battle or Shinji in his shinigami robes or Shinji and Urahara in the park or a group image of the Vizards--is really fantastic stuff. Very occasionally there's also an image like Orihime and Tatsuki, but the majority of the account is very focused on Shinji and it... it kind of reminds me of how much I came to love the character, how great an addition he was to the cast in Bleach. The interactions with the other Vizards or Ichigo or Aizen or, oh, man, with Urahara, it's all just gold--both in the manga and in this artist's hands. (Nothing I'd really say is shippy, this is a pretty gen account.)
- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - You know what I love about the Durarara!! art on Pixiv? That there are so many artists doing gorgeous art of Orihara sibling hilarity and Shizuo/Izaya art, which are two of my favorite things in fandom! This artist has a bit of a messy style at times, but the colors are lovely and there are some images that are really sharp and just fantastic to look at. After awhile, all the art in the Durarara!! fandom starts to blur together, but that makes it no less enjoyable and several of the pieces on this site (like this delightful Halloween image with Shizuo and Izaya) still manage to stand out for me--like this epic group image. That's all I ask. :D P.S. The Orihara sisters? Still awesome. (Some Shizuo/Izaya, some gen.)
- Durarara!! - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist is one I've seen several times, I've come across the art on a lot of bookmark pages and seen them linked a lot, and for good reason. The Shizuo/Izaya art that this artist does are some of the fandom classics--they're very epic pieces, tons of detail and great lines, some really nicely done colors and all very complicated poses. Just looking at the art, you can tell the artist's manga/doujinshi (of which there are several samples of on this account) is very practiced and on a professional level and is just some really gorgeous stuff when the artist sets their mind to it. I could hardly start a Durarara!! reccomending spree without stopping by this artist's work. (Some Shizuo/Izaya, some Shizuo/Kasuka, some gen.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Okay, technically, I know there are only three or so submissions so far, but! I can justify this because this series of images has seven of them together, which brings the total up to almost ten images total on the account and, whatever, that can totally be enough. And, okay. So, there's this game, El Shaddai. I've heard of it on the gaming sites, of course, but I was wary of the art style and it's a platformer--NO THANK YOU. But... then Pixiv came along... and there was all this art of a dark-haired guy that seemed very pretty... and poking around... oh, it's Lucifel from El Shaddai... and I tried to resist... but then there was a lot of Lucifel/Enoch art that was super pretty! And, shit, I was sunk. And this artist just feeds right into that, with the adorable art and the hilarious art (seriously, anyone getting a faceful of wings is always hilarious) and the lovely colors they use and the smooth, clean lines and, shit, I think I ship this ship forever now. orz But this artist has some lovely art and I would love to see more from her. ♥ (Lucifel/Enoch.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another reason I'm being slowly dragged into this fandom, at least on Pixiv? Because occasionally this fandom provides me porn! There's a lot of shippable stuff on Pixiv with Lucifel/Enoch, but there's only so much of that you can take before you finally just want makeouts and this isn't one of the first I've stumbled on, but it's one of the first I've stumbled on when I started doing recs, so it came at a really good time for me. It's maybe not directly as Lucifel/Encoch as I'd like, it's kind of more like Enoch being porny by himself, but it's still a step in the right direction, fandom! Though, I do like Lucifel putting a hand on Enoch's shoulder and this series of images has some nice ones in it--all together, it makes for a satisfying stop on my tour through this part of the fandom. (Some Lucifel/Enoch, some NC-17.)
- El Shaddai - [ Pixiv Account ] - Another account with not a lot of El Shaddai art, but, whatever, because the art that is here is kind of totally charming and just won me right over. I was wavering a little when I stumbled over this adorable image of Lucifel and Enoch in a really cute, casual setting with such pretty patterns and plants surrounding them, but I really had to cave at this battle-ready image of the two of them with butterfly patterns all over it, because the detail is gorgeous and I love everything about it. Hopefully, since the art that's here is very recent (at the time of this rec, of course), the artist will do more and that's part of what I'm banking on with the justifcation for this rec. But also I just really, really like what's here already. *__* (This could be gen, but it could also be Lucifel/Enoch.)
- Final Fantasy XIII - [ Pixiv Account ] - I admit, I came here for the lovely Hope/Lightning art, but sort of wound up staying for the beautiful Lightning art all by herself, because that dress is kind of fantastic. Seriously, I kind of love the clothes on Lightning that this artist draws, they clearly have fun with her and I also love the cute Hope/Lightning comis and the softness of the artist's style, all of it is totally the kind of thing I eat up. Dammit, now I want more of this fandom again. (Some Hope/Lightning, some gen.)
- Final Fantasy XIII - [ Pixiv Account ] - I originally came here to look for N/White art... and wound up distracted by the Final Fantasy XIII art, because this artist does some really beautiful Hope/Lightning art, which included a few wedding images and, I can't lie, I am that fan and totally shrieked a little over them. I love the soft, lovely colors and the adorable poses and the seriously excellent multi-page comics of sexytimes from when Hope is clearly old enough and just. Pretty much everything about this artist's account is designed to induce shipper squee in me, which I adore it for. Plus, you know. Genuinely pretty art! And only getting better as time goes on! ♥ (Hope/Lightning.)
- Katekyou Hitman REBORN! - [ Pixiv Account ] - I know I've linked to art from this artist's account before, but never properly recommended the actual account itself, which I clearly have to do now. I always recognize this artist because it's kind of amazing how well she nails Amano's style, except somehow has gotten to be even more gorgeous. I suspect that it's the fantastic coloring she does and the glossy look to everything, though, the attention to detail doesn't hurt--seriously, Giotto's suit is kind of seriously hot. And, okay, it helps that the artist has also done a couple of Dino/Hibari images that also look amazing, but I love everything here, she's absolutely one of my favorites in this fandom. *__* (Occasional pairings, mostly Mukuro/Tsuna, Mukuro/Hibari, Dino/Hibari, but it's also a very gen site much of the time.)
- Kuroshitsuji - [ Pixiv Account ] - I originally came here for the Panty and Stocking art (of which there is an awesome boy!Stocking image) but then quickly discovered that the artist is even more of a Kuroshitsuji fan and has done some seriously gorgeous work for it. There may not be an absolute ton here, but the butler porn here is absolutely delicious and totally worth a visit just for that. The images are beautifully detailed and the artist clearly knows the kind of person that would read Kuroshitsuji (which I am totally that fan for) and creates some really delightful pieces to cater to that. I definitely wanted more from this artist, from whatever series she wanted to draw. (No real warnings/pairings, aside from the usual stuff in Kuroshitsuji.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is one of those artists that I really kind of love and, yet, if you'd told me a year ago that I would be all over a Crocodile artist, I would not have believed you. Not that Crocodile is the only focus here, there's a lot of great art of Ace and Luffy sleeping on each other or fighting over food or what have you, but the majority of the focus probably does fall on various Crocodile pairings. And, I have to hand it to the artist, I don't recall seeing a lot of Crocodile and Mihawk or Crocodile and Mr. 1 or Crocodile and Kid of all people! There's also the occasional bit of him with Luffy or Doflamingo, like usual, but what really sells me on this artist (aside from the novelty, which I'm a big sucker for) is how beautiful all of the art is. The lines are sharp and clean, the colors are smooth and the details are nicely done and it's that kind of art that just totally does it for me. It's a really excellent account to browse through, even if you're not a big Crocodile fan. (Several/Crocodile, but there's not enough consistency to really label it, except for Mihawk/Crocodile, maybe. Also, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I... have to admit, I'm not sure precisely how to describe my affection for this artist's work, aside from saying that I'm still kind of really weak to novelty. Between a female Kid and Zoro and Jewelery art and some nicely done Luffy and Sanji in bed together (which isn't novel, but still makes me happy) and some very nicely done Kid/Law art (also not novel, but Pixiv has it growing on me) and even the occasional bit of D Kyoudai, I just... somehow was won over? It's a Pixiv sort of thing, I guess? Some of the art is a little cracky, I'll definitely warn for that ahead of time, but some of the art is also really pretty! Which... is pretty much the spirit of Pixiv right there. XD (Some Kid/Law, some Sanji/Luffy, some other, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - I was a little unsure of this artist at first and, while I enjoy art of it often times, the Luffy/Hancock ship isn't one that immediately pulls me into an artist's account, but... I dunno, maybe it was the rather nice Sanji sketch or Luffy/Hancock being very pretty or the handful of Ace art, but whatever it was, I was won over to the artist's style, the light, airy sketch style that I like and the soft use of colors and the nice amount of detail. I would really like to see what this artist does in the future, you can see the progression over the span of the gallery, and I think they could produce some really excellent work! In the meantime, I quite enjoyed what they have already. <3 (Some Luffy/Hancock, some gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - This is going to be another one of those artists where a lot of people aren't going to react the same way I did, I suspect. And I know a lot of it is because the artist got into stuff I totally love--a Strawhats group image, Ace, Roger, and Rouge hilarity, the boys of One Piece, Ace and Luffy being adorable, Ace watching Luffy sleep, the occasional really lovely piece--and I'm a sucker for when an artist gets inside my wheelhouse. But it's also the soft, almost pastel colors the artist uses, the potential for some really epic group scenes as the artist gets more practice, the focus on Ace and Luffy that always makes me happy, etc. I really enjoyed this one honestly, even if it's not going to be for everyone. (This is pretty gen, but I'll also include it in the Ace/Luffy section, despite that it's gen.)
- One Piece - [ Pixiv Account ] - Originally, I had planned to stop for the night, because I already had a bunch of OP recs to go, but then I stumbled over this account... and, well. I am super weak to super fun D Kyoudai art, especially when there's bonus Sabo in the images! Also, Ace and Luffy with guns in badass poses? I did not know how badly I needed that in my life until I got it. Or Ace and Luffy kidlets sitting in a tree as they look out over the country, which is seriously more goddamned adorable. I wound up kind of wanting to link to absolutely everything in this gallery, but firmly held myself back, because this is another one of those right in my wheelhouse kind of artists--lots of focus on a relationship I love, strong and clean lineart, solid and bright colors, excellent poses and situations to put the characters in, and even some fanservicey stuff like school uniforms and bonus Sabo to tug on my heartstrings. The combination of lovely art + getting at my fangirl nature = super win for this site. P.S. However, screw you, OP artist, for making me cry again. (This is a gen account, but if you like Ace/Luffy, you should like this.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - The only downside of the amazing PSwG fandom on Pixiv is that, despite that we're on episode six, most of the artists only have one, maybe two images in their galleries. I have been dying to do more recs for this series because the art is amazing, but I just can't justify recs yet. But this artist has managed six images so far and, bingo!, that's enough for me! It's a very cute style, but with really lush colors to make them look almost like paintings and I think Stocking is quickly growing to be my favorite, but this fandom is making me very, very fond of boy versions of Panty and Stocking and this artist continues that trend. I was totally delighted to come across this artist today. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - And then this artist has five minutes on their account and, thus, totally enough for me! This artist is more in line with the art style of the show, that very cartoony, stylized look, but I don't mind that sometimes, especially when they really kind of nail it. As always, I gravitate towards Stocking as my favorite, because I love her character design and the way artists use the dark blues, pinks, and purples on her, but this one of Panty is also really nice. I'd love to see more from this artist and have hopes since they've already done this much at least! o/ (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)
- Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - I alllllmost wasn't going to be able to justify this account, either, until I got to this series of images (of which there are 11 together) and saw that the artist had a solid amount already! o/ Again, it's more of the cartoon-y style and I wish I had more of the traditional anime-style stuff to recommend, but! I did find this artist's account to be a nice fix for when I was in the mood for more art--judging by their other art, they could do some nicely detailed stuff in the future and they do well with the canon style, too. - Panty and Stocking w/Garterbelt - [ Pixiv Account ] - Now, this is closer to what I've been hoping to find! Even if there's not a lot of submissions proper in the gallery, thanks to the series of images (that has eight of them in there), I can totally justify recommending this account! Plus, hopefully there will be more art from this artist in the future. While the style often retains a lot of the cutesy quality, so it's a cross between the usual canon style and the more tradtional anime style, I rather like it. Both Panty and Stocking look great in the sketches, both of them get images where they're pretty epic, and I also really like this image and the poses for the characters on it. This is another one of those accounts where I got my fix for the series and am a little more satisfied. (No real warnings/pairings, beyond the general ones for this series.)

- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I sort of debated on this account, mostly because there's not a ton of art here and I know there are way bigger accounts with some really epic art that I just haven't had the time to track down again yet, so I felt I should have started with those instead, but. Then I hit this artist's take on the Pokemon girls and I just couldn't let that one slip by. There's not a ton of art here and a lot of it is doodles or simple sketches, but there's the occasional adorable group pile-up with the HGSS characters and I was totally won over. Really, that's all I ask sometimes. :D (Maybe a little everyone/Hibiki, but.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I have been so torn on whether or not to really sink my teeth into Pokemon Black/White fandom on Pixiv, because I'm sort of trying to wait so I don't get spoiled (since apparently there's sort of a plot this time around?) but... I am weak to Pokemon art and I'm kind of shipping N/White pretty hardcore already (I am such a sucker for any ships with the female lead characters) and I know I'll get overwhelmed if I try to wait until March to start in on them. So, whatever, I'm totally going to start now, even though I shouldn't before I've actually played the game. Not that there's a ton of art here, but! Look at how freaking cute they are! And the artist has this really neat coloring style that's really soft and cute (they're braiding each other's hair in that image, how am I supposed to resist that??) and it just. Sort of made me cave that much further again. orz (Some N/White.)

There's not a ton of art here, at least not compared to some of the accounts I've seen in the fandom, but between the Pokemon Black&White girls and adorable N/White art and N being kind of a hotass, I was charmed by this artist's work. I'd have liked to have seen more non-doodles and comics art, but I like that everything here is pretty fun and adorable and occasionally kind of really hot. :Db (N/White.)

First, White braiding N's hair and then Matsuba and Kotone cuteness and then Silver adorabless with Kotone in the background and just. It didn't matter at that point that there wasn't a ton of art to be found with this artist, I was ridiculously fond of it already! Sometimes I just want some brightly colored, light and airy cuteness, which this account delivered. (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Pokemon - [ Pixiv Account ] - While there aren't a lot of submissions proper to this account, because there are a handful of multi-image submissions with a lot of great images (N/White adorable kiss! gijinka versions of the Legendaries!) or stil more great sketches (Black with the smug little leaf one! adorable little kidlet N!), it actually wound up being a really satisfying account for me. I do wish the artist had done a little more traditionally finished art because dark Black and the BW girls are kind of ridiculously fantastic images and really show off the artist's great use of black&white with splashes of really vivid color. Definitely an artist I enjoyed and would love to see more from! (No real warnings/pairings.)
- Sailor Moon - [ Pixiv Account ] - I believe I've recommended this artist's deviantart account and probably their website before, but, whatever, they are one of my absolute favorite Sailor Moon artists in this fandom and, thus, I am totally justifying this. I've had it in the back of my head to go looking for SM fanart on Pixiv sometime because I've had a few artists that are on my Rec Right The Hell Now list but when I stumbled over the artist's latest Haruka, Setsuna, and Michiru image I couldn't wait. This artist does amazing things with colors and details in images that look like paintings and every single image she does turns out amazing and, hell, how do you pick a favorite with an artist who has that many images on her account or does stunning things with colors and has some of the most epic art pretty much ever? Her affection for the Senshi of the series, the 2D style of art (which is the best way I can think to describe it) and her epic concepts for the images all fit with what Sailor Moon art should be in my mind, this artist really does justice to this series and these characters that I love so much. Whenever there's a new image from her, I pretty much drop everything else and run over to gawk at it, that's how much she's right inside my wheelhouse when it comes to this fandom. ♥ (No real warnings/pairings.)
- VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - This artist has an amazingly vivid and bright style, the detail in the work is lovely, but it's the nearly glowing colors that really do me in here. Even when it's not my ship, the Kaito/Meiko art was gorgeous or a dark, sort of gothic image of the VOCALOID boys or even getting me to really stop and stare at one of those Miku Append images. (Though, I also really love the darker, flatter stuff because it really shows off the fine lines of the art.) Whatever this artist draws, I'm probably totally going to be onboard with because it's all just so very pretty. (Nothing consistent enough to warn for.)
- VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - I stumbled over this artist because of this stunning Miku image with the gorgeous patterns on her traditional clothing and makeup and the butterflies flying around her, but then followed it back to the rest of the gallery and just fell totally in love. That one is probably my very favorite, but I also really like the artist's take on a lighter, hazier style with Luka or with Rin. The artist's use of softer colors and the attention to detail and all the epic hair are things that totally get me, especially when an artist does a gorgeous job like this. It's artists like this that made me fall in love with the fandom in the first place. ♥ (No warnings/pairings.)
- VOCALOID - [ Pixiv Account ] - Sometimes the idea of having VOCALOID ships at all is a little weird to me, because... well, VOCALOID! But then I see an artist who does really beautiful Miku and Luka art and I'm like, "....yes plz." And that's one of the things I love about this fandom--the awesome girls and how happily fandom is willing to ship them or just draw them being gorgeous together! Or how willing they are to give Luka a gun or how often you see amazing Just Be Friends art or how badass Luka is with her guitar or, even when she's in skimpy clothes, Miku still looks awesome. You can tell Luka is the artist's favorite, but there's art of all the VOCALOID girls and it's all this really light, prettily colored stuff that I totally go for. *__* (No real warnings/pairings.)
