Notes: Having finished Okami, as you can see, I desperately needed fanart. Lots and lots and lots of fanart. *__* As a warning, there will frequently be SPOILERS for the end of the game in these sites, so I'd advise waiting until you'd seen the end of the game before you went looking.

- Gravitation - Renegotiation by Pru - It has been ages since I read Gravitation fic, but I was read Pru's Naruto fic and happened to see she'd written Gravi and figured what the hell. I realize there are times when I read Gravi fic that is less than my usual standards just because I love the series so damn much, so I tend to forget what it's like when I read something that's actually competent for me. Something that gets the feel of the characters, yet still progresses them forward. Something that actually includes Maiko, something that includes Eiri being a bastard and Shuuichi being Shuuichi without being a chariacture (omg, Shuuichi's reaction to Eiri's misdeeds--!) and an ending that's just... just the right amount of change for just the right amount of time for them. Fabulous. (Yuki/Shuuichi.)

- Hana Yori Dango - Darling, we'll be an army of two by tin - [Note: This fic is locked, but the author friends anyone who friends the journal, so I'm making an exception.] There are certain stories in this fandom that I know I'm desperate to read, but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that I want, other than some form of permanence that doesn't take away from everything they went through in the series. Which is what this fic does, it's these little images from Tsukushi's point of view, even after they're married, a surreal sense that they're still children playing at adults, even when that's not true anymore. The language of the story is lovely, it captures both their characters (both the wild, hilarious sides and the more fragile, almost bitter sides) so beautifully and is one of those that's quietly satisfying to me in a way I'll never be able to quite put into words. (Tsukasa/Tsukushi.)

- Hana Yori Dango - Celebration by Jennifer Wand - So, I like kissing fic, right? And with Tsukasa and Tsukushi, that will never happen enough. Ever. Yet, it takes a certain amount of talent to write a fic that's basically about a physical act as simple (and complicated, in its own way) as kissing. What this fic accomplished was to make me feel a little better about these two idiots and their idiotic romance, the way something finally went right with them, even if it didn't actually happen in the canon that way. I could feel the emotion between the two of them, that strong pull that neither of them could escape, and... well, really, that's all I ask for from fic. It got to me and it was fanservice that made me happy. ♥ (Tsukasa/Tsukushi.)

- Naruto - Telephone by Pru - I don't even remember how I got here anymore! I'm sure there was a link somewhere or someone recommended it and I'm being horrible by not remembering where (omg so sorry ;__; ) but... sheesh, I had also very nearly forgotten how much I actually really loved reading really good Naruto fic. It starts so simple, a rumor that Kakashi and Iruka are together and Team 7's reactions which are completely hilarious and beautiful and their slow coming around to accept the idea of it and there are so, so many moments of win here. I love that it's not really about KakaIru (though, there's enough of that, too ♥) it's about interaction between all of them, it's about Team 7 as a larger whole, it's about each of these characters being utterly awesome, it's about a great ending that I keyboard mash over. Both funny and touching, this fic makes me want to dive back into the Naruto fandom, dammit. (Some Kakashi/Iruka, it's only half the point.)

- Arashi Fanvid - girls just want to have fun - I clicked on this one just for the concept alone, but it was actually a really fun video. The song choice is totally cracked out, but the clips chosen to go with it are just so much fun that I shrieked with laughter the entire time. I love, love, love the clips chosen for this and it's fast-paced enough to be entertaining (no clips linger too long) and it's a good mix of PV/concert material and TV show material and it makes me want to hunt down every single thing Arashi has been in, like, ever and just. asdl;fjalsdfjalsdjf, I've watched it, like, six times now and I love it more every time. ♥

- Arashi Fanvid - arashi for dream! - There is just something about Arashi fanvids set to happy, cheerful, on-crack music that I can watch endlessly. I just. I love when there are a zillion clips from their TV shows that show off just how dorky and hilarious the boys of Arashi are, all set to music and afd;lsjkadsf;lkjadsflj I WANT TO WATCH EVERYTHING THEY'VE EVER BEEN IN after watching a video like this. Which is what Arashi AMVs should be, filling you with rainbows and uncontrollable giggling and WTF WTF WTF clips and an inability to stop grinning even though your face hurts. ♥

- Arashi Fanvid - Thank You Arashi - One of my very favorite things continues to be Arashi TV show clips set to fun, happy music and just... there's nothing that can get across the spirit of the band better than that. I love that the video is all about the little moments that made the artist smile and I'm pretty sure that you'd have to be inhuman to watch this and not crack a smile at least once.

- Supernatural Fanvid - The Official Supernatural Drinking Game - I picked up the link from third_requiem and I've watched it, like, four times now and the Chicken Dance song in the background and the selection of clips has yet to get any less funny. The artist really did a bang-up job on this one, the clips actually fit what they were going for so very well, the expressions on Sam and Dean's faces are beautifully chosen, and asd;lasdljkasdflj, the little asides/notes to the characters! The clips of the characters getting drunk, too! The concept for when to drink when Sam does something! I died. And. Just. Everything worked all the way around like it was supposed to. ♥

- Arashi - Nomad [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - DO YOU KNOW WHAT THERE IS? ARASHI FANART. I was sort of hesitant to wander too far into this site at first, since it's Sho/Ohno, but I also have no real objection to the pairing, so I started clicking. And this is quite possibly one of the most adorable sites I have ever come across, the pairing is so incredibly cute here in this artist's hands. She draws them in adorable poses with these bright, shiny, cute colors and puts them in adorable clothes that totally capture the spirit of Arashi and I just want to scoop them up and snuggle them endlessly. It makes me want to go hunt down, like, every episode of MMA or the other shows that they've ever done because it fills me with such happy, fluffy love for them. I love the artist's style, she captures them really well, but also makes them even more impossibly cute. Plus, she even has a handful of Jun illustrations, which makes me just that much happier, too. ♥ (Sho/Ohno.)

- Arashi - R*R [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Right from the top illustration, which was one of the cutest things I have ever seen in my life, I knew I was going to like this site. It's the kind of art that fills me with warmth and happiness because it's just so adorable and almost like little sketches, except more polished and there are all these shiny clothes and cute Ohnos in various clothing and these soft colors that I adore so much and just... yeah. Yeah, a lot of cuteness here, the kind that makes me make the XD XD XD face a lot. I really do love the attention to the little details, it seems like such an... almost simple style at first, but it's really not. Very pretty. ♥ (Nothing I'm going to warn for.)

- Harry Potter - [ English/French Fanart Site ] - This artist actually leans away from my preferred pairings (which hers are the more canon-friendly ones, I realize I'm a freak about this XD) but I stopped by to see her Sirius+Harry art, then got distracted by her other Sirius art, then by her Marauders-era art, and then I couldn't help going through the rest of her gallery. Even if they're not my pairings, her art is frequently just beautiful that I'm kind of in love with it. Her Ron/Hermione art is stunning, her Tonks fanart is beautiful, and just... everything looks really, really great. This is why I still go back to HP sometimes. <3 (Some pairings, but not enough of any one thing to count.)

- Howl's Moving Castle - KERA-MA-GO [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Oh, man, it did not take me long at all to fall in love with this artist's take on Howl and Sophie. I mean, one of the first pictures I saw being of them kissing might have helped a lot, but it's more than that. There's that sense of magic and whimsy that goes along with a series like HMC, combined with the artist trying out several styles, often using a watercolor-like style that just... works for Howl and Sophie. And, man, did this site ever make my shipping fangirly heart just about want to explode with happiness. Just... the artwork is beautiful and there's so much of it and it's Howl and Sophie and Howl/Sophie and it reminds me of why I loved these characters so much. Quite possibly one of my favorite HMC sites now. ♥ (Howl/Sophie.)

- Howl's Moving Castle - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Ooh, more really pretty HMC fanart! I love the way the art looks so... slick, almost. Something about the combination of bird!Howl from the movie and the colors that combine to make it really shiny. (The one of Howl lounging on the sofa with the black cat looks awesome as well. *__*) Well, aside from the oekaki/sketches, which are more on the cute side, but oh so very cute. This was a fun site, a nice selection of art tucked away into the gallery and a nice stop on my tour through j-fanart sites today. <3 (Howl/Sophie.)

- Okami - 5ze [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Ever since about the first seven hours of the game, I have been quitely pining for more Waka-related stuff and the game kept teasing me with further bits and pieces of him; by the time I was getting towards the end, I was kind of in full-blown fascination mode. So, naturally, when I started poking at fanart sites, I was hoping for something more with him and this site delivered wonderfully. The artist has this almost simple style, almost oekaki-esque that somehow manages to convey so much emotion in the characters she draws. And I love, love, love her take on the human versions of characters, she's really good at putting these neat little details onto them. And! Um. I may have liked the Waka/Ammy stuff a lot, too. I mean, I'm more used to female!Amaterasu, but I'm not exactly going to complain when art like this is so pretty. (Maybe a little Waka/Amaterasu slash, but mostly a gen site I think.)

- Okami - TYPHOONOBSERVATORY [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Okay, I was pretty sure I was going to love this site, but I was officially sold at the fanart of a sleeping Amaterasu and Waka playing his flute on one of those flowers. It was somehow just so perfect for the game and what I was looking for from the fandom. There's a lot of cute art all over the site, though, a lot of really neat fanart of the various doggies and even an image of wolf!Waka, which is quite possibly one of the greatest things Okami fandom could do. ♥ And if you don't melt into goo at the sight of a sprite and a wolf god hugging, there is something clearly wrong with you. Add in some really beautiful Waka/Amaterasu fanart and you have one of my new favorite sites. *_* The art here is fabulous for just about all the characters and the human!Amaterasu fanart is adorable and the sketches are soooo cute and--! (Some Waka/Amaterasu, but it could be a largely gen site, too.)

- Okami - Loverial Phantom [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - Holy crap, it took one page of this artist's work to have me violently heartmarking her style. It's just so darn cute and bright and happy and colorful without being gaudy and I love how everyone looks here. The use of almost pastel colors really works here, plus there's just so much of the pretty comics and they're just... I'm keyboard mashing here because I don't know how to explain why Waka scratching Amaterasu's stomach or telling Oki to back off now, bitch, or even Issun and Ammy travelling around is so cute, but the artist's sharp, clean lines just make everything so lovely. Everything shines here, looking so good and professional level. *__* Her human!Amaterasu is totally adorable as well and holy crap that's a lot of detail on the cute little dress for her! And, seriously, there's something wrong with you if you don't melt at least a little over the desperate Waka/Amaterasu hug. *__* (A lot of Waka/Amaterasu, some Oki/Kai, maybe a little Issun/Amaterasu, a little other, a little gen maybe.)

- Okami - TETE A TETE [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This is another site that I warmed up to pretty quickly and then fell a little when I started stumbling over the pretty Waka fanart. There's some really great stuff for him here and even a really awesome Oki fanart that I totally loved. The art is frequently almost simple, but the light, airy feeling of it and the occasional image where the artist's style becomes really sharp and clear... it's one of those sites that definitely helped give me my fix for the day, where there were a handful of illustrations that I was just completely starry-eyed over. A nice, fun site to browse. And the human forms of the 13 brush gods were really sort of cool! (It's mostly gen, I think. Possibly a little pairing implications.)

- Okami - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The art on this site is almost sort of simple, very clean and direct, but... something about the combination of the way the artist does it plus the lighter colors plus the absolutely adorable nature of a lot of them, I was won over pretty quickly. I mean, Waka with little spritelet Sakuya? Eeeeeeeee so cute! Not to mention the comics are so completely and utterly wibble-worthy (and spoilery, btw!) even though some of the art isn't in tune with my take on the characters. Which is mostly that I prefer female Amaterasu and kind of OTP her with Waka. Not that this wasn't them, just... Amaterasu/Waka is different from Waka/Amaterasu. But, whatever. The art is totally pretty and that's what counts. :D (Amaterasu/Waka, some other yaoi pairings.)

- Okami - G A O [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - The thing I really like about this site is the almost-rough quality to the art, yet not sloppy about it, it's more... a style choice and the way the artist uses the colors with it looks so pretty. There's one of Himiko that's just totally lovely and I love the artist's take on Issun and Oki and--!! Well, pretty much everything on the site. ♥ There's also a decent amount of art to the site and it totally helped give me my fix and I want more from the artist and just... it was quietly satisfying. Very, very nice site. (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Okami - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I was sort of wavering on this site, not because I didn't like it (I do!), but because I wasn't sure there was enough art to really recommend it... and then I got to the page with the little images of the 13 brush gods and immediately fell in love that much harder. And then there was a lovely page full of Waka fanart. I love that just about every character gets some really cute art, I love the way the art is displayed with several on each page, which makes everything somehow even cuter when you're looking at all of it together. I love the bright, warm colors used and the site was just... nice. :D (No real warnings/pairings.)

- Okami/Howl's Moving Castle - [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - This artist has an almost rough sort of quality to her work, but actually makes it look really cool, sort of a bit like the sketches from the artbook, just a little. The take on the wolves, especially Amaterasu, looks really great... well, all the animals look great, really. They look like animals much of the time and I so totally love the way her Shiranui looks. The image from the end of the fight with Lechku and Nechku is just... *__* Then the artist goes and makes me really love her for the Waka fanart and I'm kind of completely gone. As for the HMC fanart, they're these lovely pieces almost like paintings, some of them terribly intense. They're movie-based and the one of Howl in the bird form is just... asdf;lkjadsflj, ouch, way to strike at my fangirl heart again. Very wonderful site. ♥ (Maybe a little Waka/Amaterasu but it could be gen, too. Howl/Sophie.)

- Prince of Tennis/Okami - raibura [ Japanese Fanart Site ] - I came here for the Okami fanart, actually. And thought, oh, what the hell, I'll at least peak at the Tenipuri fanart. And my Atobe fondness reared right up and bit me all over again, despite that the Atobe/Oshitari pairing isn't my thing. But. I mean. In this author's hands? It's gorgeous, her Atobe is just stunning. Just looking at the art for him reminds me of why I really do love the character so damn much. Sadly, there's not much Okami fanart here, but I hope the artist will do more over time, and what is here is lovely and incredibly detailed and/or adorably cute. (Oshitari/Atobe, no pairings/warnings for the Okami pages.)
