I have jet lag so I'm trying to find ways to figure out a cure. This may be one of them.
I'm going to backtrack and work on volume 6, but I was so curious as to what (spoiler) Karoku is saying in Volume 7...
I know I never got done with the first chapter of ARISA way back then. Sooner or later, the first chapter was scanlated and eventually got the official Del Ray greenlight. So, I never went back and finished it. T__T
Volume 7 of Karneval by Touya Mikanagi.
Please do not look at this if you don't want to be spoiled.
And do not use these for scanlation purposes (which would be impossible at this point because of CY, although CY is said to be an untrustworthy company).

Karoku: "You guys are the country's defense force, if that's the case of what you said to me, doctor of "Kenantou".
Karoku: "A champion doctor and a healthy guy, who collects a person, eh?"
"Therefore, only authorized officials with certified IDs can go in and out of this room."
Karoku: "I am to receive medical treatment in that sort of place."
"Just what kind of big thing was I involved in?"
T/N: Karoku suuuure loves being in bed. Even if he's only "half" of himself, in some way... O__o This is just confusing with what happened in Volume 6. What did the bad guys do to him, exactly?

Akari: He has a level-headed sense of awareness.... HIs mind also appears to be good.
Karoku: "Some time ago, I said I don't know the child, Nai."
Karoku: "However, I've not been told that my memory is missing somewhere."
"Everything from chronological order is to be remembered."
Akari: "You said your name is Ryoushin?"
Karoku: "My name is Ryoushin."
Karoku: "My father is Nijou Mean and my mother is Aire Mean."
Akari: "...I see. That's such a disappointment then."
T/N: I think Karoku's real last name is sooooo much better than his fake last name. I mean, "Mean"? In Japanese, it sounds ok, but in English? It just doesn't sound right. ;__; It sounds so....meaaaan!!
And I think I will have to leave this as it is for now. There is a lot more being conversed after this, but I need to rewind back to Volume 6 for the sake of all Karneval fans out there.
