Internet down?
I thought the internet was down today so I rebooted my cable box AND the internet modem. Everything is fine..just Facebook, FB messenger, and Instagram are down for some reason. I need to send my mom some pictures from my Facebook account so hopefully they'll be back up soon.
My dad's 70th (!!!) birthday is this month. My mom is having a surprise party for him. I don't think he will be happy. Don't remember him being a surprise person. Plus...COVID is still around of course and my dad is SUPER cautious of the virus. I don't blame him. My mom made the party mask optional so I wonder how this will go. I hope it works out. I ordered him a cool Dr Pepper cake as part of his present. I think he'll think it's funny and cool. I am excited to see his expression. The part I'm worried about is how much it'll cost. But my dad deserves it.
Today after dinner Sean is supposed to take Gavin suit shopping. The funeral is in three days. I think we should've started shopping sooner for a suit. I suggested a nice shirt and khaki pants, but Sean said no and that the funeral is formal. I will be wearing a dress which isn't very often. It is blue and black. Sean is wearing a blue suit. Skyler is wearing a black pantsuit. I am not making her wear a dress. I always hated when my mom would make me wear a dress, especially to church. Dresses are still not my thing and will probably never be hers either haha
Keaira is staying house sitting for us and also watching Oz for a few days while we're gone. I hope he is good and doesn't pee on her while we're gone lol
It will be raining most of the week so we have a river in our backyard or is it a lake by now? By the end of the week it will be. I like rain, but not tons of it over a short amount of time.
I decorated a little bit for Halloween. A few lights and Sean put up a green and black spider on our Peterson sign out front. There's a REAL (huge!) spider on our back porch. It freaked me out this morning when I went to take the trash out. They gross me out. Spiders and roaches make me want to vomit. I know they are good. Well at least spiders. I don't understand why roaches exist.
I have so many things to watch on my movie and TV apps. My lists are long. I stay at home a lot, but still don't have time to watch them all. I think it's a mood thing. I'm thinking of starting over and just deleting everything off my lists that I haven't watched in the past six months to a year because by now I probably won't watch them after that long.
A new season of Dexter is coming in November. Weirdly, that's one of the last remnants or memories of my ex husband. We both LOVED watching Dexter. It is a really cool show. I have read all the books. I wonder if the author is going to write more stories since the new show is coming out. I haven't heard any such news though. I don't even know if I'd read it to be honest. I haven't even finished a book I started almost two years ago. And it's an interesting one. It is the sequel to A Handmaid's Tale called The Testaments. There's another book in my nightstand drawer I never finished. It relates to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ah my favorite show. But to be honest the book kinda sucked because it doesn't have any of the old characters in the book. It just mentions them. I used to love to read. I think I have only read three books in the past five or six years. I wish I wanted to read more.
Sean and I were invited last night by his uncle to visit them in Michigan. I really have no interest in Michigan and well most of the north of the USA. BUT! I would still probably go because I want to travel. If I had all the money in the world that's what I'd do. Okay, not ALL the money, but enough not to have to worry about bills and food.
Oz hears Keaira coming home and he's still not used to the sound of her car. He always barks. Maybe one day he'll get used to his new sister.
