Spring Anime Season 2014 First Impressions!

--It took me for ever, but I finally managed to watch all the anime on my list, and here are the long-waited "First Impressions"!

But first let me say that Nobunaga the Fool is getting really stupid.

I can't take it-- I can't take its portrayal of Westerners! All the warriors are treacherous bastards, all the strategists are actually perverted psychos... The only way to save them? A trip to Japan when they can fall in love with some Japanese and learn what living life at its full is!
--Please, stop it T_T; --THIS IS RACISM, PRACTICALLY!

Well, let me focus on the new stuff, now, that is better--

ABARENBOU RIKISHI! MATSUTAROU (vote: 5) - This is the story of Matsutarou, a guy who kept on attending Middle School despite being a grown adult because he was in love with a teacher there, and how he's forced to search for a job after he reached the limit of what society can stand.
The moronic lazyass got "in touch" with some sumo wrestlers, and he got to join a gym as he knew that his beloved teacher (that meanwhile moved out of the town, feeling responsible for Matsu's behaviour) lived somewhere nearby it.
I was looking forward to this series, but saying that I can't stand it is a compliment XD
I was expecting some nice ol' series where pain, sacrifice and harsh training did the trick, but here you have this unbearable idiot doing idiotic things-- UNPUNISHED.
I was eager to know more about the world of sumo, which looks all kind of intriguing and charming to me, but this is just a useless parody.
I'll keep on watching it 'cause I hope that it'll change its mood soon and I really dig the art style, but right now I'm quite keen on dropping it.

BREAK BLADE (vote: 6) - In a world led by magic, Rygart is the only one who can't use it, making him unapt to live.
But an invasion, led by one of his former friends, brought him to the Capital, where he met Hodr, the lazy king, and Sygin, his scientist wife, childhood friends of both Rygart and Zess, the "rebel".
Sygin is researching an old-type mecha that none can use-- But, of course, Rygart, who is familiar with not-magic usage.
I was looking forward to this anime too, but as it's entertaining indeed, its lack of actuality makes it a bit boring to watch. Sure I'd like to know how the producers decided to remake such a story after people watched stuff like Gundam Seed, Code Geass or even Magic Knight Rayearth...

HAIKYUU!! (vote: 8) - Cute Hinata can finally play in an official Middle School match, but his dream is crushed at the beginning, when he has to face the team that sports the "King of the Court", the setter Kageyama.
After being crushed in just two sets, he swears that he'll defeat his arch-enemy, Kageyama, someday... But next year, as he joined Karasuno High School out of fanboysm for his "Small Giant" idol, his jaw drops as he realizes that Kageyama joined the same school--
THIS SERIES IS LOVELY. I can't think of a flaw T_T It's fun, moving, intriguing, hotblooded, --CUTE IN A CUTE WAY!!!
I love every little bit of it, every character, AND I JUST WANT MOAR ;_; !!

JOJO's BIZARRE ADVENTURES: Stardust Crusaders (vote: 8) - After the first two series, where two generations of Joestars learned how to use their inner energy to defeat evil, this third generation has to deal with "stands", or the physical manifestation of that same energy in a sort of "shadow" that doesn't leave the body of its owner, granting him special powers.
The set is now in Japan, where Jotaro has to face "the curse of Dio", and with the support of his granpa and new friends, he'll rush to Egypt to face the ancestral enemy of his family.
Very, very good! One of the most adventurous parts is started and I'm really curious how they'll deal with it!
Also, it's great to see my beloved Kakyoin animated <3 Pretty <3 !

M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane (vote: 7) - In a world where two realities exist, the one lived by human beings and another lived by "ghosts", it's not rare that the seconds "come back" to bring troubles.
As Akashi and a few other selected members get to join a special mecha unit to invade this dark, unknown world, mystery unfolds.
I watched this out of a whim, and I must admit that I really enjoyed this first episode!
Story and characters are not extremely original, but there are a few points that make this worth a shot, like the idea of a group of mechas that for once faces its enemy "on their grounds", with all the emotional bargain that it will mean.

MUSHISHI ZOKU SHO (vote: 9) - The adventures of the "bug doctor" Ginko continues, as he goes through Japan to help people with their "invisible" diseases and omens.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
I love the pace of this anime, its mystery, its wonderous "postcards" of Japanese sceneries...Every episode cleanse my sould and makes me feel anew, inspired, sensitive ;_;

PING PONG: The Animation (vote: 7) - Tsukimoto "Smile" acts like a "second" to his friend Hoshino "Peco", who's considered the ace of the ping pong club, but when Tsukimoto meets the determination of a coach and the rivalry of a ruthless Chinese opponent, he finally faces his inner self.
This was suggested by Teap, and I must admit that it's really good!
I may be bothered by the vague animation, but I am not, I find the sketchy character design quite cool and fuctional to the story :D
The characters are awesome and the story is pretty original despite the "standard" premise!

SIDONIA NO KISHI (vote: 8) - Nagate lived mostly of his life as a "mole" deep down the "innards" of the Sidonia's space colony, but once he appeared on the surface he's immediately recruited by the government and trained as a pilot despite his inexperience on every field of modern existence. --Yet, when facing danger, he showed infinite potential and mysterious phisical abilities--
Another suggestion of Teap, I was wary toward this 'cause another series of this author, Blame!, left me completely indifferent and bored, but this series is actually a pleasure to watch and it's relished with a decent amount of mystery to make it worth a watch! Definitely keeping an eye on this to see further developments!
Also, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw colors and design was-- Starfighter webcomic D:

And, well, that's all, I guess.
