Gunpla Adventures pt.III
Sorry if I'm being monothematic, but besides working on webcomics updates, waiting for the payment of commissions and adding Buddy Complex to my watchlist, I didn't do much XD
So here are gunpla updates!
Today my fingers were still hurting, so I decided to protect my cute fingertips like this:
--It was super effective!
This morning I decided to work on the head of the Zaku.
It's one of the vital parts of the gunpla, so I worked on it while holding my breath XD I did a decent job with this, avoiding incredible errors like usual :3
Meanwhile I realized that I did a shabby job last time-- Once fully dry, the surface of the brown parts looks like this:
I used some extra sanding and more abrasive wax, the job looks decent now, but going over all the pieces over and over sure made me waste lots of time.
Damn, using sandpaper instead of that matte varnish sure is cheaper, but whatta huge pain in the ass XD !
After this I cleaned up the pieces with some water and soap and let them dry. They looked fine now.
An expert told me to wash the pieces when they are still in their sprue, this would help to opacize them further, so I did it.
I guessed that I did it wrong 'cause they didn't come less shiny like his, but, oh, well T_T; ..!
Aware of the last mess, this time I used less sandpaper and more abrasive wax, the result looked acceptable :3
In the end I have all the pieces to assemble and I have weapons and arms left...
Hopefully I could take care of them tomorrow-- Assuming that I won't need to sandpaper everything all over again >o<; !
