Hi guys!
Since I'm aware that the most of you who read this are not into my pitiful Facebook account, I'm posting this here too--
In these days I got quite busy with some room's reconstruction (it started as a "Dad, I'd like to remove this furniture and add some more shelves here!" and I found myself out of my room 'cause two days after some guys were painting the walls of a pale ocre [ok, I was the one who picked the colour, LOL, but still, IT WAS SUDDEN!]), and my room is still a WIP:
We commissioned a woodworker for a fancy wardrobe exploding in a thousand shelves, so as we wait for the job done, my poor books and comics are all squeezed into dusty boxes >_>;
I also got that brand new desk from IKEA, it's really pretty, but I already find it uncomfortable XD So, I'm still getting used to the new enviroment like some kind of wild beast... I hope that my room will be ready soon so I could start peeing around and make it a comfy home, LOL.
--Also,
here's a bigger shot of my plushie shark! My friend Truhan suggested me to call it "Rin", but I'd go with "Mikoshiba-senpai" instead x'D The tag says that its name is "Blahaj", I guess it's the Svedish for "Shark", but I don't think that I can call it the sound of a grimace for ever x'D
Thus is explained the lack of recent updates, in case you cared!
As you can see, I'm already working to keep this shit updated. Please, appreciate my efforts.
Anyway, let's go to the juicy contents!
Time ago I bothered you with a possible "to-watch list" concerning the new anime season.
I'm sure that you'll be delighted to know that I'M WATCHING ALL THAT SHIT. I think that by the end of the season I may drop something, but here you go for now:
KILL LA KILL - score: 7
This was the series that I was looking forward the most, and I was glad to see that it was as fun and entertaining as I hoped it was.
It reminded me of a mix of Gurren-Lagann (for the over-the top animation and design) and Kakugo no Susume (for the WTF moments, the cheap commedy and fanservices, the "talking clothes" things, the villain's rendition and the general badass vibe), so I was definitely entertained... It looks like there's a decent plot behind the events too, so I'm quite smitten with this series.
I also love the fact that for once the protagonists are badass girls. The protagonist is adorable, and the main antagonist-- TOTALLY MY FAV KIND OF CHARACTER *_*
MEGANEBU! - score: 6
Just as I expected, the daily life of a bunch of weird guys, very much as such series as Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, but with a bit of spice thanks to the megane fetish and BL vibes.
The animation is weird and experimental in many bits, not sure if it's to cut on the budget or it was 'stilistically' intentional... Anyway it's fun that only the characters wearing glasses are properly rendered, while the others are anonymous silhouettes XD
The first episode left me a bit MEH, but I was glad to see some development in the second one. Still not sure if it's worth watching, but at least the boys are cute to look at and fujoshi fantasies can run freely without any danger∼
DIAMOND NO ACE - score: 6
Sport anime always deliver, and there's always a point in watching them. The adventures of the hot-blooded protagonist moving to Tokyo to pursue his love for baseball and thirst for development sure is endearing, but the plot and characters' renditions don't look very original despite the general consinstency. I'm still enjoying the watch though, I'll keep cheering for the naughty uke catcher∼
PHI BRAIN: RATZEL-HEN - score: 6
Now that the development of Kaito's friendships in his childhood have been analyzed in any way, it's time to focus on the young days of Matsuoka Jin, the "puzzle mentor" of both Kaito and Rook.
It's nice to see everyone back in action again, also if I'm a bit pissed by the fact that Ana and Cubic can't go past their roles of comic relief... Gammon looks like he's destined to sway on the wrong road -AGAIN- and the antagonist of this series (that is doomed to be revealed as a "victim" of the whole puzzle system), the kitty-like Ratzel, is already bothering me to no end... How does she dare to get between the OTPness of Jin and Baron è_é ?!!
Interesting, but it's getting repetitive. If the plot won't sail, the score is destined to lowering.
KUROKO NO BASKET 2 - score: 7
I was expecting to get bored with this, since I already read all of this part in manga version, on the contrary, this series keep getting better and better: not just the animation, buit also the character design is nicer and better defined... In some scenes Kuroko looks like coming straight from a YAOI series, LOL, but that's not really a problem for me.
I like the rendition of Murasakibara! The seiyuu is really good! I tend to dislike "hetare" characters, but the bit of "evilness" in this peculiar character sure makes him adeguately interesting... Also cute Himuro-kun ♥
I'm positively impressed.
HAJIME NO IPPO: RISING - score: 5
If Kuroko managed to keep my attention, Ippo has this fatal flaw everytime I watched it animated: IT'S BORING.
I don't understand what's missing, the anime follows the manga quite faithfully, and the scenes are animated WONDERFULLY (during the punches exchanges I felt like hurting, how intense!) but that's it, this anime is boring.
I feel a bit rough in saying this, 'cause Ippo is a great manga and one of my favourites, but on screen it lacks something, and unfortunately that something is vital for a full appreciation of the series... I'll keep watching 'cause some nice fights and characters are going to star here (Sawamura *_* !!) and I want to watch them animated, but I don't know if I could stand this whole series 'til the end.
YOWAMUSHI PEDAL - score: 8
Now, this was a surprise ^_^
This series doesn't add much to many other sport series of this kind, but it's always refreshing to have a protagonist who's not really keen on joining a sport club but gets dragged into it because of his inner talent.
I just watched one episode so I can't say for sure if the plot will go in an interesting direction (probably it won't) but for now there are enough elements to say that this is going to be a fun ride, despite of its destination ^_^
SAMURAI FLAMENCO - score: 7
Very fun! This series takes its roots from Kickass and TIGER&BUNNY for a very fun and original take on the world of Japanese superheroes.
If T&B had that "American flavour" to it, Samurai owns a very Japanese soul thanks to its references to tokusatsu series.
I also appreciated the vague BL-ish vibe, LOL. MUST WATCH, MUST WATCH.
GALILEI DONNA - score: ?
I gave it a 6 on
MAL but it's mostly a "political 6" 'cause I'm very perplexed about this series.
I like the steam-punkish set, but it doesn't look like my cup of tea, the idea of three sisters on a run from an organization of villains who wants their powers. I need more episodes to get a proper idea on the actual value of this stuff, then I'll decide if it's worth watching or I can drop it with no second thoughts.
GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS - score: 6
Now this is a surprise XD I wasn't about to give two cents to this series, a blatant Sunrise bait to sell more and more gunpla shit, but-- this series actually works.
It's on the same level of Yugi-Oh or such, but the references to classic Gundam series make it still enjoyable, tickling the otaku in me.
I'll keep watching it with a light heart and see where it'll bring me.
...I think that this may be the first time that I actually watched so many anime in a season ò_o;
And what about you guys? Are you watching something cool this season..?
...Don't leave me alone in this uncomfortable room, LOL, I look forward to your responses ;_;
