Araki's exhibition in Florence

So, as you can tell from the pic above, today I went to Florence to check this exhibition of Araki's artworks!

The exhibition was held at the Gucci Showroom in Via delle Caldaie, instead of the initially announced Museo Gucci--Sure the location was eclatant about how little Gucci actually cared about Araki's works.
My impression was that they were doing "a favor" to this amazing, leggendary artist by exposing some of his "drawings for kids" there.

The fact that there was no catalogue of the artworks or even A FUCKING POSTCARD OR A SHITTY PAMPHLET to keep as souvenir was simply atrocious.

On top of it it was forbidden to take pictures. I took one anyway (before the security guys started stalking me everywhere XD). FUCK YOU, GUCCI BOYS:

Of course, despite all of this, the exhibition is obviously worth a visit, but only if you live in Tuscany or you're going to Florence for other reasons (like checking out the Uffizi!)-- As it's true that the entrance is free, the general impression is not really worth the ticket of the train.

But let's see what you'll find in this exhibition:
• Lots of Jolyne illustrations and 3D stand-on panels;
• Illustrations from the comic "Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci";
• Illustrations from the comic "Rohan Kishibe goes to Gucci";
• The possibility to read "Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci" on ipads ♥;
• Illustrations from "Vento Aureo" (it was written "Golden Wind" there-- GUYS, SERIOUSLY.);
• Illustrations from "Stone Ocean";
• Illustrations from "Steel Ball Run";
• Illustrations from "Jojolion";
• A wonderful series of illustrations featuring the JoJo characters in various popular Japanese locations ♥

All in all the contents themselves were more than worth the visit, but the lack of information, the carelessness of the set-up and the infamous lack of merchandise dropped significantly my enjoyment :/ Which is atrocious, 'cause the art of Araki is outstanding and wonderful ;_;

--This said, I obviously took the chance to finally visit Florence (or at least its inner city!) :D
After the Araki's exhibition, I rushed to the Uffizi and Galleria dell'Accademia, making my trip definitely worth it :D
I obviously took lots of pictures that you can see here. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to take pictures in the museums, so I'll have to keep the impressions that "The Birth of Venus", "The Spring" and "David" gave me live to myself ;P !
