Ok! An update with mini-reviews of those last Italian releases!
That's the story: GIANT KILLING started a few days ago the Italian release of the manga and the guy of the comic-shop wrapped this poster around the shelves to promote it--
Me: --Can I get this once you won't need it anymore?
Guy: Surething! I'll just keep it on for a week or so, then I can give it to you.
Me: Ok, I'll come later, then :D
Today I got there to buy CESTVS, and the guy wasn't there, his father was standing for him... I told him about the poster and he gave it to me-- Way earlier than a week XD I'm really horrible.--BUT LOOK AT HOW PRETTY THIS POSTER IS!
Here's a shot of the boys <3 Gino &hearts! I'll wake up every morning looking at his irresponsible face <333!
Unfortunately this thing was WRAPPED in scotch ;_; And while taking it off some parts were ripped off T_T; This is my "restoration" XDD I'm quite good with a marker, uh XDD ?
--And now let's talk briefly about the comics XD
Aaah, the Italian edition of SAKURAGARI is just to die for *_*
I'm sure that they are trying so hard because it's just three volumes XD
I was quite impressed by the dust jacket-- Not sure if you can get it from the pic, but the paper is all "porous" and the sakura bits are EMBOSSED ;o; !!! So pretty∼
The cover design is quite elegant <3
And there are color illustrations as in the original :D
--I was so moved that I wanted to cry <3 Can't wait for the next volume to come out! Apparently it's a monthly release... A MONTHLY RELEASE ;_; ♥ !!
Changing subject, I was curious to read about the end of GUNDAM -THE ORIGINS- because I heard online that there were some major changes.
I finally managed to get my hands on the last two volumes (I'm contemplating to buy also volumes 20 and 21 though), and I'm going to share a few thoughts about it here with you--
First, on the mere aesthetical side-- The Italian edition kept the original color pages of the Japanese edition-- So pretty T_T;
*fangirly face* --Kycilia has short hair 'til the end, then :o ? *pets her own hair*
More Kycilia XD
I'm somehow amused by her pick in gloves XD
As far as concerns the differences with the anime version-- The most glamorous is about Sayla being captured by the Zeonians and revealing her identity as Artesia to save herself o_o
Some sort of revolt ensues, creating troubles and confusion during the battle, which will lead to Zeon's defeat.
There are also changes about Amuro and Char's sword fight.
The whole thing is a bit pathetic, and here Char takes his time to tell us about his mother complex, as to justify all the crap of Char's Counterattack =_=
Sure, it makes sense that one would see a motherly figure in a younger girl >_> That was so-- Bah.
Anyway there isn't any major change, the events are basically the same of the anime, if not for these tiny clarifications.
Now, CESTVS *___*
I'll give you a detailed summary of the volume once I'll updated the
Cestvs page on
Got Soul?, for now just enjoy the pretty cover art XD
I have mixed feeling looking at Cestus all grown-up ;3;
I miss his shota antics, but-- He's so hot >_>; And in the manga he still looks so cutely childish anyway <3
He sure grew into a fine young man, doesn't he <3 ?
--Yet, not as much as Lusca, LOL x'DDD
It's incredible, during this second volume Lusca managed to keep all his horrifying attitude >_> And Cestus was so cute, trying to reconcile with him after Valeria's death ;__;
