Romics 2012 - Day #1 :3

Sep 27, 2012 23:03

Today I attended the first day of Romics comic/games convention :D
I'm quite sleepy, so I'll go with pictures and fast commentaries ;D

So, today the convention was a bit bigger! I didn't manage to see the whole thing 'cause I met with some friends and, you know, I wasted time XD
In the other days I'll make sure to watch the rest :D

So, many of the guys I went to Japan with were there with their stands ;3;
It was moving to see them again (and I left my heavy bag there with them, LOL XD)!

The guy in the first pic wearing the green t-shirt makes and sells his self-made figures-- You can see some of his creations here:

--I ADORE THIS FIGURE OF AI ;__; !!

Who made this plushie is a genius x'DD

For lunch I had a porchetta sandwich with iced tea... YUMMY :9
Here's a pic for M3nty XD

--I took a lot of pictures of Madoka Magica stuff XD T-They were so cute ;_; !!

...I didn't take many cosplay pics 'cause I was busy with the shopping, but here're those I couldn't leave alone XD

--This is for Amelia XD

Tobi!Madara:

Corto Maltese ^___^ !

OMG THIS GUY >_>; !!! He was portraying my favourite villain from Batman and he was cute too >_>; !!

Princess Sapphire!! (OMG MY CHILDHOOD!)

Celty :D

As usual, I tried to attend some of the organized events.
This year there was a manga "lesson" and another about cinema storyboarding presented by teachers of the International School of Comics here in Rome.

The manga lesson featured Midori Yamane.
She introduced us to some basics about manga art--

--And I started to ignore that part XD

Then the lesson started to focus on the storyboarding and stuff and it got my attention again :D Apparently this woman works as an editor for Kodansha, must be said that she looked quite competent!

I was totally captured when she showed us how Masakatsu Katsura works on his storyboards:

--It was a page from Zetman nonetheless! *hypes*

The second lesson was far more interesting, and it was about cinema storyboarding.
The teacher was an enrhusiastic Carlo Labieni.
It was really interesting to know more about the job of a storyboard artist and I was amused to know that he works together with the director :D

Here's a shot of a cinema storyboard's page:

...Of course there were some of his students there, sharing their experiences. It was really interesting :D

This year I decided to go full-throttle with cosplay, bringing three costumes each day that I'll attend.
The first costume is Tamiya Hiroshi from Litchi Hikari Club :D

Here are some (terrible XD) shots that my friends took for me:

There were some cool sets for pictures, I blatantly abused of those XD
Unfortunately those pics were taken after a while that I was walking around and such, so all my cuteness was taken away from the tiredness and insane sweating x'D

--And to end this post with GLORY, here're some pictures of my purchases... I decided that my "Rei shelf" is not enough anymore, so I'll probably buy a proper display case when I'll have the money and time to look for one fitting my needs... SO I DECIDED TO BUY MORE REIS XD

--And that's all, folks! Now, it's bedtime for me >3> !
I hope you enjoyed this tiny report of mine!
