Anime Chat!

Ok, this evening I finally watched the last episode of Sakamichi no Apollon, I cried, then I read the manga to check the differences, I cried some more, and now I am for a comprehensive post about the anime that just ended this season :D

--Let's go in order!

FATE/ZERO 2 - score: 8 - There were many touching moments in this story, moments where my heart honestly gringed, and that's admirable.
Also if in the end the shitty storytelling made everything difficult to follow and I didn't pay attention to some parts as how I did when Rider and Waver were on screen, I was perfectly satisfied with it despite the pessimistic message of sort.
I confirm Kirei as my favourite characters (and there I thought that I was going to ship Kiritsugu and Tokiomi!!) and his storyline with Gilgamesh left me all kind of delighted.

AQUARION EVOL - score: 5 - Ah, this was so stupid ;_; WTF, the "Winged Hound"?! ARE YOU SERIOUS--?! I hated almost everyone, but in the end I managed to enjoy this or that character. The highest moment of the series was genderswitched Mix, and the vaguely BL moments with Andy when he came to the rescue.
When Mix was showed back as a girl my hear broke a bit (but that was expected, if they wanted to keep her a boy they would have given her a haircut!), but I guess that he got back in her original form once on Earth. A pity.

KIMI TO BOKU 2 - score: 7 - It's really cute, a refreshing, soft story about schoolboys :D
I found the Chizuru/Masaki bits cute at first, then they grew annoying on me =_=; I would have preferred to have less episodes based on Chizuru's love pain and more on the events of the boys lives.
Can't say that I have a favourite character since I liked everyone the same for a reason or another, but Yuta wearing his yukata during the Tea Ceremony club activities was ALL KIND OF STUNNING O_O --Now I can't help but imagining delicious yukata sex between Yuta and Shun ;_; --!

ZETMAN - score: 7 - This was pretty good, I liked the animation and art, and also the plot felt somehow plausible despite the many differences with the manga, but in the end the overal result was kinda vapid, and that's a true pity :/
The characters were treated kinda superficially, and in many cases they were completely reverted from the original concept (see Kouga who killed human beings, his parents included ò_o --KOUGA!!!)... I liked howe the stuff was resolved, and I liked to see Hanako die so miserably, ahah, that bitch XD
After the episode I downloaded the volume 17 of the manga to see how much of that was happening: of course I couldn't make much out of the dialogues, but the scenario unfolding in the anime is not happening in the manga: Kouga in the end tries to give Zet his complete form, but he turned into the evil Charisma and he punched Kouga almost dead.
As he was moving to kill cute Konoha (;_;), Haitani, who's kinda unpleased with the outcome, stopped him and shows Zet Hanako being beaten up by some G3 to make him react. The volume ends with Zet reaching Hanako's location and showing up in front of her, but we don't know what's going to happen!

SAKAMICHI NO APOLLON - score: 9 - I didn't download "Moanin'" and I didn't turn into a jazz fan after watching this, but DAMN, this was PRETTY GOOD, practically at the same level of Uchuu Kyoudai, the best Spring anime this year, for me!
AAAH, SO MANY EMOTIONS, MY FRIENDS. Finally a shoujo anime that managed to talk about feelings like love and friendship without any genre cheesiness!!
It was so good that I didn't even feel the need to ship Kaoru and Sentaro to make it more interesting-- IT WAS JUST PERFECT.
If you loved this series, I suggest you to get the scanlations of volume 9, the last one, to read more about the manga conclusion: the manga shows also Kaoru's college days, his meeting with his mom who sang for him, an unexpected duet with Jun-nii and such :3 The manga goes also a bit after the last scene shown in the anime, showing us Kaoru who transferred on the same island where Sen lives, repatching his relationship with Rikko and-- Dealing with a new slope where his "Apollon" is waiting :3 It was really perfect! I suggest this series to everyone ^^

And damn.
I crave for katsudon right now ;_; --And katsudon and curry rice are the things that I can eat properly only in Japan T_T
This afternoon I googled for Japanese restaurants in Rome sporting katsudon in their menu, and I found one by the train station that I usually get off at with some good reviews-- I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO TRY IT ;_; !!

Also, Charon is here. Don't expect me to be very active on the internet in these days-- It's just so hot that even keeping my netbook turned on kills me with extra heat T_T;;;
