--'Cause I'm a dutiful otaku ù_u !
First of all,
short commentaries over the Summer 2011 anime season:
NATSUME YUUJINCHO SAN (score: 7) - I was really looking forward to this new season, and I must say that I liked its typical slow, everyday's pace.
Despite my enjoyment, though, I must admit that there's not much story development (which is probably this series' strong point, anyway LOL), so the whole thing is far from "extremely entertaining", from an objective point of view. There's some tiny character development, where Natsume learns to opens himself more to his "human" friends and yokai... The climax of the series was the introduction of delicious Matoba, fufufu XD
NYANPIRE (score: 5) - Not much to expect from this, but it was cute and enjoyable XD I was somehow shocked to realize that all the characters in Nyanpire universe are males D: --EVEN CHACHAMARU!!! (turns kitties into hot, horny nekomimi boys and plots porn--)
USAGI DROP (score: 7) - This was much better than I first thought :D It was UNBELIEVABLY CUTE, deprived of any shitty loli subtext and-- Did I say it's cute?
I loved the characters depictions and development, how cute and appropriate their relationships looked and so on ♥ The only thing that I didn't like, towards the end, was how uber-mature Rin acted-- I mean, a kid is still a kid :/ To be already so responsible and keen on houseworking was probably a bit too much.
No.6 (score: 6) - This was a bit of a let down :/ I really liked all of this, the characters were all made of win, the story was quite interesting and such, but I found stupid that everything solved via "deus ex machina" without any actual explanation. I couldn't stand how some people were killed by the bee parasites when others weren't, for example.
I realize that the episodes were squeezed out of the novels and many thing were probably left unexplained, but I still found the plot resolution stupid, thus the low scoring >_>
BLOOD-C (score: 8) - Another let-down. I wasn't particularly eager to watch this 'cause I know that CLAMP stuff tends to be full of shit despite the awesome art, but I must admit that the first episodes (apparently, those that everyone hated) were quite cool!
I loved the character design, Saya was lovely, and I just loved that "mysteryous" vibe all around it.
I didn't like the part in the middle, the one where Saya's schoolmates started to die. NOW, that was slowpaced and kinda dragged.
Still, I loved how the whole story was resolved, LOLOL, Fumito ♥
--I also decided that Fumito and Tadayoshi shared a very dirty, smexy relationship >3> !
And now, the tiny first impressions comments about the current series that I'm following ^^
FATE/ZERO - AASFAFSDAFHSZH, AWESOME.
Also, I noticed that besides Kiritsugu, all the Magi's Servants are male-- I WANNA SEE SCENES WHERE THEY GOT REPLENISHED WITH MANA AFTER DIFFUCULT FIGHTS o___o EXPECIALLY TOKIOMI ON GILGAMESH O____O A-AND WAVER ON ISKANDER 0o0 !!!!
BAKUMAN 2 - Nice. It's just fun to see the daily struggles of mangaka dealing with rivals, dreams and love XD Also, I have the bothering impression that the score may get lower...
SEKAIICHI HATSUKOI 2 - Nice. I'm just a bit bothered that the characters' reactions are always the same, but that's Nakamura-sensei's signature XD Boring, considering what a much better work she was doing with "Umi ni Nemuru Hana" 's characterizations--!
PHI BRAIN - A surprise! Unexpectedly entertaining and amusing :D I like the idea of games being cleared as a form of battle! Also, considering that Kaito was called a "superior genius" because of how he cleared the car game in the last aired episode, in a way that I would have done too, gives me tons of amusement x'DD
KIMI TO BOKU - Another surprise! I enjoyed this one greatly XDD It's just so fun, and moving in so many parts ;o; ah, I'm totally a girl at heart for liking this so much, am I not ;o; <3 ?
Also, I decided that Yuki and Kaname are gay for each other. (also, Azuma-sensei and Akira :o !!)
UN-GO - I was looking forward to this, but I found this first episode quite-- Boring? oh, well, it was just an introduction episode, so I look forward to better developments :D
I found the setting particularly boring :/ That half-assed pseudo-future time... To keep it in the original Meiji era would have been definitely better D:
For now, Inga (expecially in the hot chick form!) definitely owns my heart ;o; <3<3 ! C-CUUUUTE!!
