--An informative post, once again! Sorry to those who follows this journal for the porn only XD

So, I finally managed to get a hold on some subs, and here are my first impressions on the series that I decided to follow...

Waaaaaaaaah, Giant Killing ^o^ I was really looking forward to this!
It's a series about football, from the perspective of the miraculous coach.
I really enjoyed this first episode! The mood was great and the rendition of action scenes great, as it is the adaptation of the original manga's plot: I must confess you that I was a bit bothered by the idea that this first episode was going to be about Tatsumi's English disgression... Yeah, it was a great way to introduce the characters and give us a taste of Tatsumi's peculiar way of seeing things (most importantly, it explained the meaning of the title XD) but I found it pretty boring. Boring in a "frustrating" way, you know. Having Goto and the girl walking around Portsmouth (I thing that's the name XD?) begging Tatsumi to come back wasn't quite entertaining, so I'm happy that the authors managed to use the most important bits of it in tiny flashbacks.
I really love this series, but some things really bug me, expecially concerning the animation: first of all, that horrible CG >_< then, the design looks kinda sloppy? It's pretty faithful to the original author's, but as it works on paper, it's pretty bothering to have that kind of "cross-hatching" on an animated product... Expecially since the animators put such an effort to give that "clean" impression via sharp colors and defined linearts.

--I FINALLY MANAGED TO WATCH THIS, OMG ;o;
Oh my, I'm probably going to be considered a blasphemer but I prefer SO MUCH MORE to see the boys animated rather than in their manga version ;o;
I don't like the author's style and the scan's quality is what it is, so-- yeah. I mean, sometimes it's also difficult to tell a character from another >_>;;
--But let's talk about the episode!
I can see Roka animated ;o; I must confess you that I have some kind of hots for this guy >3> --Also, Tajima XD Who the hell is he, SuperMan XD ? Fun how he could be a perfect Gary Stu, but he turns out as an absolutely lovely character instead XD Also, LOL, the bit where Tajima and Mihashi teamed up during the footbal match reminded me of how Gino is going to "use" Tsubaki in Giant Killing XD
Also, Abe-kuuun! LOL, it's like Mihashi has a personal trainer XD No wonder his relationship with Haruna was so terrible ^_^;; (it really makes me wonder on how Akimaru managed to tame that terrible pitcher XD)
The animation flows perfectly, it's all so nicely timed ;3; !
Following the manga is pretty hard because of all the technical infos and bits (must be terrible for the scanltors to deal with all that technical stuff!), but it looks all so easier to understand on the anime; the staff did a great job with the adaptation from the manga, also if the whole stuff was already there; I like it when the anime is a way to enrich the reading experience, not a mere transposition.
The design and animation was pretty good: I love how the designers refreshed and at the same time are faithful to the original design...

THIS IS NOT SUBBED YET.
I swear, I'm DYING. This is one of the best shows of this year and I have to deal with the multiple release of all that moe shit instead >_< !! Someone please translate this, and do something good for humankind.
Nonetheless, I watched it RAW despite my harsh policy against watching RAWs. I obviously didn't understand a word, but it looks SO AWESOME ;o; It could also have unexpected YAOI subtexts (there's also the uke girlish character :D)-- YAY for post-war Japanese juvenile reformatories XD !

Please internet, get this subbed soon.

Also, just to keep you updated: yesterday I finally managed to finish to work on the SasuIta doujinshi that I was supposed to release on March ;o; ! I slacked during my period of leave, so now I'm taking care of it during my days off from work.
I'm not amused, I wanted to present myself the Sawamura book for my birthday but it looks like I'll never manage to make it on time ._.
I also designed the new cover since I dismissed the last one; I'll probably show you something about it tomorrow :D
I'm a bit bothered 'cause the story is about Sasuke reviving Itachi via 'Edo Tensei' and now [!!SPOILERS!!] that it actually happens in the manga [!!SPOILERS!!] it's like I'm copying Kishimoto with a badfic T_T But whatever.
There's also much less porn than I anticipated. Just a pair of pages, and nothing particularly graphic... I tried to focus of the characters emotions instead, but I'm not sure I succeeded.
Ah, I'm a bit undecided about the title, too; what do you think that renders better in English, "Everything Else if a Faraway Noise" or "Everything Else if a Faraway Sound"...? It's a verse from this (quite pitiful but still catchy) Italian love song, I really like that part of the lyrics, but I'm not sure of how render it in English... English sounds so "barbarian" to Italian vocabulary ;_;

Oh, speaking of Italian songs and Sasuke-- While exercising at the gym there's this huge screen showing music videos from MTV (obviously without audio, since disco music and other shit seems to be the common BGM of that place), and everytime I'm there I happen to see this video (English subs to let you appreciate the cheesy lyrics XD)-- FUCK, the singer looks a lot like Sasu-chan, doesn't he XD ? Fun fact: looks like the subject of this song is a vampire "nymph" that the guy likes to molest (as the video suggests too)... But the verbs are conjugated in masculine form-- He's actually talking about a guy x'D
---You can see how pitiful I look, staring at this video instead of focusing on my tiny biceps >_>;

pimpin', everyday tragedies
