SasuIta moment! (doujinshi covers previews and some ranting)
Lalala∼ In these days I worked on the Sasuita doujinshi that I told you time ago, mostly drawing the covers and planning stuff out.
I think I made up my mind with their releases: the first on March, the second someday around summer.
On April I'm going to release the Kichiku Megane booklet :3 (consider it a sort of self-present XD)
I'm still kinda undecided about the titles, I guess that I'll come with something once I'll have the most of the story outlined-- Or better, I'll just steal some cheesy verse from some obscure song, as usual >3> !
This is the first SasuIta doujinshi that I intend to release.
The story plot, very vaguely: Sasuke is a missing nin and he revives Itachi via Edo Tensei ♥ sharing a not-so-idyllic love life with his reluctant bro.
I still have to decide if Itachi is blind or not. I was musing to give him Madara's eyes, but the idea of dealing with a blind ninja character is very appealing too ;_;
What do you think?
This is an old doujinshi idea that I dropped at the time-- And I just retrieve it 'cause the concept is way too amusing to let go of it.
In this AU, Sasuke is the older brother and Itachi the younger. Sasu works in the Konoha Police team, and Ita is an ANBU, as in canon.
This is going to be a G-rated dramatic story, dealing with the difficult relation of the two brothers and, basically, Sasuke's inferiority complex towards his genius little brother...
I can't decide which cover version is better... But I lean towards the "normal clothes", it gives a best vibe to the story of two brothers instead of two ninja guys...
I'm extremely amused by the concet of SasuIta, also if I guess that the most of you could be kinda irked by the idea of having the younger brother on top.
Personally, when deciding who's on top or not in a relationship, I'm one of those person who goes with personalities.
Usually I see the "kind" character at the bottom, and the more assertive on top: Sasuke is a proud and stubborn character, so I totally see him taking the lead; I overall see Sasuke as a top in every pairing he's involved with (also if I don't support any of them XD I'm a die-hard Uchihacest-only shipper XD).
I'm aware of the Japanese tendency to have the stubborn character as the bottom, but to me it keeps being unreastic, despite being definitely amusing.
Also, Itachi's devotion to his lil' bro, his kindness and introvert character makes him a wonderful uke to Sasuke ;o; I like to think of Itachi as an experienced uke (Shisui anyone <3 ?) and Sasuke as a brattish seme-- This eventuality amuses me to no end <3 Ukes taking the lead are so nice <3<3<3<3 !!
Then, I'm probably not saying anything new right now but I REALLY HAD ENOUGH OF THE CHILDISH SASUKE BASHING IN THIS FANDOM.
If you check on them, it's mostly delusional NaruSasu (or terrible SasuSaku) fans who can't get over the fact that, for Sasuke, ITACHI > KONOHA.
They are all ranting about the "OMG, he was so easily corrupted by Madara, such a tool!" or "OMG, HE KILLED KARIN, WHAT AN ASSHOLE, THE GIRL REALLY LOVED HIM!" but they're just missing the whole point: Sasuke SUFFERED when he got to know the truth about Itachi (and that's THE TRUTH, your vague hopes about Madara saying a bunch of lies are obviously NON-EXISTANT, expecially now that Danzou confirmed it all), and that pain definitely surpassed what we call a cool reasoning. You could say that together with Itachi, something inside him died too.
So, yeah, Itachi did it all so Sasuke would be able to return to Konoha as a "hero" and Sasuke just dismissed his beloved niisan's plans, 'cause to him, it's not Itachi's will that mattered but his own very feelings towards his brother, feelings that he distorted and shut down FOR YEARS.
They could have been happy together, they could have led a "normal life" as normal brothers but Konoha destroyed this legittimate option, Konoha destroyed Sasuke's very dreams.
I loved Sasuke's reaction to that. I loved this irrational, dark, "childish" side of him, his resolution to eradicate THE WHOLE VILLAGE, not only the ones responsible of Itachi's deeds.
Sasuke totally dismissed the idea of becoming Konoha's hero to be his own version of a hero, a hero that doesn't need other people's admiration (he's always been bothered by it) but just longs it from those he loves: and they're all dead.
Also, I loved Danzou's words of hate towards Sasuke. He called him "Itachi's failure". That made me shiver with bittersweet joy-- Danzou got the point here and I love him XD
Sasuke is Itachi's weak point as much as Itachi is Sasuke's.
And I know, in the end it'll be all a NaruSasu's goody-goody triumph, but for now, let me bask in the lights of canon, those same lights that prove that, as an Uchihacester, I'M RIGHT.
--Aaah.
I'm off now, I have to resume some Shigurui 4koma that I neglected since for ever XD
