SEQUEL TO LAST LETTER
Times passed really quickly and now, it has been a month that I have move together with Sungmin in our own house. In the first week, I introduced Sungmin and our babies to my parents. Thank goodness that it went reallllly well. My mother has totally accepted Sungmin into our family without questioning anything else, and my dad, that’s a different story. Though Sungmin has no problem in getting his approval, I was the one that was actually being scold for my stupid mistake towards Sungmin. Luckily, he still accepted me as his son. Ahra noona was the happiest. She has always thought that Sungmin was her sibling and the arrival of the twins increase more happiness.
But still, I have more difficulty in Sungmin’s family. Even though I have openly proposed to Sungmin, his brothers weren’t going to let me go that easily especially, Kenshin. To my surprise, Sungmin also introduced me to his step mother and her husband. They gladly accepted me but I still have to find a way to make Sungmin’s brother to approve me into Sungmin’s life. When I ask Sungmin to help, he only said to be myself. Well, that’s not going to work at all.
“Min-ah, your an-chan hates me.” Kyuhyun whined, hugging Sungmin in the kitchen while he was cooking.
“Oh, Kyu don’t be stupid.” Sungmin planted a quick kiss on Kyuhyun’s cheek and continue cooking, “An-chan didn’t hate you. He’s just being himself.” He explained and obviously Kyuhyun didn’t understand it.
“He being himself hates me, Min.” Kyuhyun continue whining like a little kid, pouted a bit.
Sungmin chuckled, “You know, why don’t stop frowning or thinking about an-chan for a while and help me accompany the futago(twin)? I’ll make something special for you for dinner. ” Sungmin said, smiling all the way.
Kyuhyun sighed. Sungmin has a point there. “Okay…” he replied and after giving Sungmin a short kiss on the lips, he lazily brought his feet to where his babies are.
His lips immediately formed a smile after he saw the beautiful scene in front of him. Totally forgot about how Sungmin’s brother hates him. He laid down next to the twin grinning like an old man, feeling contented to be a father to Sungmin’s babies.
“Hello, beautiful. Appa loves you and umma so much.” He confessed, carefully planted a kiss on the twin’s forehead respectively and continues smiling.
Few minutes later, Sungmin headed to the living room to find Kyuhyun was sleeping next to their twin. He was really grateful that finally he has found his own happiness. He sat beside the father and babies, a smile continue forming.
He brushed away the bangs on Kyuhyun’s forehead softly, “Thank you for the happiness, Kyuhyun.” He whispered.
Two weeks later, after a chaotic preparation, Kyuhyun and Sungmin are finally getting married officially. They just invited some close friends and of course it was done very secretly, away from the press. Since the day the members met with Sungmin, they have decided to cut all ties with the company.
Leeteuk and Heechul were still in the army training so they gave Kangin to take care of that matter. It was totally a lost for the company and they even begged for forgiveness from Sungmin to never let them leave. But, even though Sungmin has forgiven the company, the members still insisted on their decision. Furthermore, they also thought that it’s about time they go independently. If the fans love them, they will surely understand the decision that they made. Yesung whom has been quiet so far also talked for the first time to fight back for his dongsaeng. They have become more united and they all are grateful to Sungmin.
And today, the day they have been waiting for. Sungmin is going to be the love of life for Cho Kyuhyun and of course his name will change to Cho Sungmin. Kyuhyun was grinning in front of the mirror, thinking about their soon-to-be honeymoon starting tonight. But, his beautiful dream was crushed upon seeing the scene in front where Sungmin was happily hugging and kissing Kenshin with the entire crowd around them.
We’re supposed to be marrying today but why he’s still so intimate with him!!! He yelled angrily inside his head totally unsatisfied with what he’s seeing.
“Hey,” a voice wakes him up from the glaring and he turned to meet with Akira.
“I hope you’re not getting jealous of them.” He pointed to where Sungmin and Kenshin knowing the glare of the groom.
Kyuhyun scoffed, “Hmph, why would I be jealous. Sungmin is MINE!” he claimed possessively.
“You are jealous, brat.”
“I am…no! Don’t kiss him anymore!” Kyuhyun half-yelled, eyes burning from anger at the happy couple.
“Hahaha…Calm down.”Akira ruffled Kyuhyun hair, “Yah,” and obviously he didn’t like it so much.
“You should control that jealousy of yours, you know. You’re not going anywhere with it.” Akira advised, “Sungmin will forever love an-chan even more than he love you or us. He was an-chan only lover and hatred.” The last word attracts Kyuhyun as he turned to Akira, confused.
“Hatred?” he repeated of what Akira said.
Akira sighed, “Sungmin was born after the divorce of our appa and mama. I was still a baby, so, I’m still doesn’t understand much of it. Of how much it broke our family.” He stopped, “But, an-chan is different.” his gaze saddened as he look towards Sungmin.
“An-chan already understands all of it. Appa left because he has someone else, because he loves someone else other than our mama. And Sungmin was born from it. So, an-chan blamed Sungmin for everything when we were first introduce to each other. He even refused to look at him. He detested him very much.” He continued his story.
“Then, how did they become close?” Kyuhyun questioned, for more explanation.
“Well…no one know. No one was sure why and what made an-chan to change. But, there’s something happened that only they could understand after Sungmin’s mother death.” He answered, and stops to think.
“Did you know how we found out about Sungmin’s disease?” Kyuhyun shook his head a few times to the question.
Akira look far in front, “Me and an-chan were both busy but, we always make sure to pay close attention to his activities. And that one day, Sungmin’s resignation came to us.”
Flashback.
“What do you mean resign?! I just talked to him yesterday! And he didn’t tell me anything about this!” Kesnhin raged on the phone with Akira.
“I don’t know. But, it was confirm this morning. I called the Korea’s airport and it seems that he left already.” Akira explained, tried his best to calm.
Kenshin took a deep breath, “Fine. I’ll ask my men to look for him. And you, try to search for the reason of his disappearance. We’ll meet at home in half an hour.” Kenshin ordered and they hung up.
What are you doing, Min? where are you? Kenshin whom was supposed to go for a client meeting, immediately cancelled his meeting and drove back home. He knew something serious is about to happen and it will lead to something even more badly if they didn’t quickly look for his little brother.
Half an hour later, the two siblings gathered at their home.
“Did you get anything?” Kenshin asked as soon as Akira stepped inside the house.
“Min had a fight with the management. They accuse him for being a rapist.”
“What?! That’s impossible!!” Kenshin exploded.
“An-chan calm down! We both knew how Min-chan is. We’ll just find him first and we’ll see what he’s going to tell us, okay?” Akira said, calming his elder.
“This is no time to calm down, Aki. I’ll go and find him myself.” Kenshin took his coat.
“Wait, I’ll come with you!” they opened the door to leave but were astounded to see someone standing in front of them.
“Min-chan?” they called, extremely shocked.
“An-chan…it hurts…” Sungmin spoke, eyes shows only emptiness, “It hurts so much…” and the boy collapsed on the floor.
“Sungmin!!” Kenshin managed to catch Sungmin before he reached the floor, unconscious.
They took Sungmin inside and tucked him to bed. His clothes were drenched by the rain and he looks so weak. They called, Riku as the doctor to check for his condition. They obviously couldn’t help themselves from feeling crazily worry because of what has happen and after seeing the condition of Sungmin.
“Is he okay?” Akira asked Riku when she walked out from the room.
“He’s okay. He just need some rest. I’ll fetch some medicine for him and also some food.” Riku answered.
“I’ll come with you.” Akira said and they both left the room with only Kenshin and Sungmin, sleeping lifelessly on the bed.
Flashback end.
“Then, Riku found out about his disease by searching for his medical report from Korea and he has nowhere to hide anymore. Still, he refuses to eat any medicine. He said, he doesn’t want to harm them.”
“The babies.” Kyuhyun said.
Akira nodded, grateful that Kyuhyun finally understand what he’s trying to say. They are now watching at where Sungmin and Kenshin are together with the babies. They are smiling and laughing happily with the new world that they have created.
“I know that we have hurt Sungmin so much. I know that I, have hurted him much more than anyone else ever did. I promise you, and myself, I will never ever hurt him and make him cry ever again.” Kyuhyun swear eyes full with determination.
Akira stare at the latter for a few moment, “I know you will.” He patted the Kyuhyun’s head softly and went to where Sungmin was.
All the three of them has been going through a lot to reach this stage especially Sungmin. I’m an idiot to feel jealous towards Kenshin. He was Sungmin’s everything even before I arrive in his life. I should have calm down and accept everything. Because now, Sungmin is mine and will forever be my future.
“Kyu, come here!” Kyuhyun grinned as he walked forward to where his lover was together with his new family.
A few more minutes of waiting, Kyuhyun was now standing while Sungmin walking towards him on the aisle. Words of advices from the members and also families before the wedding still flashes inside his head. Sungmin looking so handsome (beautiful in his eyes) in white suit and he himself felt handsome wearing a black suit. Slowly and carefully Sungmin walked towards him, hand in hand with Kenshin. He was smiling and so is everyone else too. It was indeed a happy day.
“Now, you may kiss the bride.” Soon after the priest said the word, Kyuhyun take Sungmin into his arms and planted a kiss full on the lips.
Applaud was heard in the place. They are now an official married couple and no one can separate them anymore. White rose petals were thrown towards the happy couple. Their twin was in the hold of their grandparents, happily playing with the petals.
Kyuhyun intertwined his finger with Sungmin, “I love you so much, Min.” he confessed and received another cheers from the members.
“Hehe…I love you too, Kyu.” Sungmin replied back, cheeks red with embarrassment.
