Upholding LAW & Keeping ORDER

Aug 06, 2007 19:59

The Law & Order franchise just keeps on ticking. The mothership will launch its 18th Season in January 2008. Special Victims Unit is entering its ninth season. And Criminal Intent will be back for season seven - airing on the USA Network before getting a run on NBC.

The Law & Order Cast Spreadsheet has been my little baby for a long time now - after ( Read more... )

Ahem...sorry to start a different topic right away, but there do seem to be some discrepencies in your grid.
For one, why does "K9 & Company" have a different frame than everything else? For another, you put BSG between Angel and Firefly, whereas the Key says that it should go Angel, Firefly, BSG.
One more little thing: The Bill Dana Show in no way spun-off from Make Room for Daddy. I saw that that's what imdb says, but after all, they can be quite inaccurate.

The K9 & Company frame is a mere artifact of changing the excel spreadsheet to a jpeg file. The BSG Firefly Angel thing will be corrected at the next update.

And, yes, it seems that the Bill Dana/Make Room for Daddy connection is wrong. That will happily be removed. Thanks for the heads-up.

My understanding is that Bill Dana played Jose Jimenez on The Danny Thomas Show for an episode, not that it was a spinoff. I think the character was also the elevator man on some episodes of The Joey Bishop Show. Of course, Danny Thomas produced all of these, so that may be where the confusion originates.

Another possible show for inclusion: A Man Called Sloane. Robert Conrad's Sloane character was an agent of a group called UNIT. So far as I can tell, UNIT is not defined anywhere, so I posit it is the same organization which has appeared over the years on Doctor Who.

There's no mention of Bill Dana ever being on The Danny Thomas Show at the IMDb.

For me, the UNIT connection is too vague.

All of international versions of The Office... bttf4444 August 15 2007, 00:38:43 UTC
Le Bureau (French Edition)

La Job (French Canadian Edition)

Stromberg (German Edition)

The Office (US Edition)

The Office (Original UK Edition)

Would all these variants be part of one shared universe, or are they just different adaptions of the relatively same plot for different cultures?

They possibly all share the same universe but there's no direct connections yet. While the British and US versions were supposed to crossover last year, it didn't happen. Both of these shows are connected to Tommy by different means anyway...

I'd love it if somehow they were all pulled in... :-)

A possible Doctor Who X-Over munchdet August 15 2007, 12:16:46 UTC
TAFKA johnmunch speaking. Something screwed with the login section, so johnmunch is kaput for all purposes. Pity. I liked it.

To the point:
There is a British police series, 'Z Cars' (1962-1978 with some 800 episodes!) that is supposed to have a character crossover with the Good Doctor in its earliest seasons (details unknown). This would bring in Z Cars spin-offs 'Barlow at Large' and 'Softly Softly'. Z Cars (derived from the Ford Zephyr cars) is generally acknowledged as the first 'realistic' UK police show.

This was supposed to happen, but the plan fell through those many years ago. I just read this recently online but I'll hanged if I can remember where. But I will do a bit of searching to find out more info.

I would have loved to see Charlie Barlow and his associate Det. Watt join the Tommyverse!

Step By Step Episode Featiring John Stamos... bttf4444 August 15 2007, 16:16:50 UTC
Has anyone watched the episode where John Stamos appeared as himself in Step By Step and mentioned his role of Full House? This may possible contradict the crossover that Steve Urkel from Family Matters did with Full House and Step By Step.

I have a possible solution, though. Depending on how detailed John Stamos was about his role, it could be possible that there is a different sitcom called Full House, and that John Stamos also plays an Uncle Jesse on that series. I tried to look for a transcript for that episode, but I came up with nothing.

Apparently Donna Douglas appeared as her Elly May character from the Beverly Hillbillies on an episode of the Super Mario Brothers super show which would bring in one of the funniest kids shows of the late 80's

According to Marjorie Lord's website, it looks like Bill Dana was appearing as Jose Jimenez on 'Make Room For Daddy'. Here's an entry from her episode guide for the show, ninth season:

Season 9

251. For Every Man There's a Woman
guest stars: Bill Dana (Jose Jimenez)
Tonight, comedian Bill Dana appears as his own character creation Jose Jimenez.

aired: 02-Oct-1961

You can find it at:

She was there; I'd say her word counts!
