and it's nice. the world and the music and the people.
The bumpy highway blurred in the right corner of my eye as we leave each tree, each sign, each building as quickly as we approached it.
and the sun is casting shadows.
and the trees are still.
unchanging.
and I hear the people laughing and singing between the music from my headphones that seems to fit the scene so perfectly.
and I'm thinking that each time I look out the window... I'm passing a piece of earth that I've never seen before. That I've never walked on or laid on or danced on, and probebly never will.
and cars drive underneath the bridges with faceless drivers who dissapear off towards their mystery destination after briefly crossing my path.
and I will never meet them or talk to them or know them.
because the world is so big.
and as Julie rests her head on Jessica as they both lean on each other, dreaming, I realize why road trips are so nessicary to your soul.
with the music and the people and the thoughts.
the sun escaping underneath the highway and shooting beams through the trees that line the exits.
the darkening sunset that sets an eternal background for each city you pass.
the erie way life seems to move in fast-foward while you sit still.
all the while the world passing from outside your window.
