SO! Just to let you all know. I finally got some time to sit down and read some recent LJ entries and I'm glad to see life is going on more or less like normal. Maybe less? Or maybe more. What's normal anyway? Yeah. So Christmas is coming and I'm sad I won't be able to see you all then. As far as presents go, y'all can expect combination Christmas/birthday/whatever else presents when I come back on MAY 30TH. Yup, finally changed my plane ticket. It's official. That's when I re-enter the good ol' United States.
I've been having fun here in Nantes, although maybe a little too much fun? School's over at the end of this weekend and I have finals next Monday and Tuesday, then a hopefully HUGE party Tuesday night for all the Americans that are leaving France forever. I will miss them a lot.
Some notable things that have been happening:
- Went to a freakin' Memorabilia show in Birmingham, England with my friend Tim to meet all the actors from RED DWARF because there was a reunion there (sans Craig Charles, unfortunately). I met Chris Barry and can now die happily, thank you. We also saw Nottingham a bit. I love English except it keels me with its outrageously expensive EVERYTHING. DAMN YOU THE POUND!!! *shakes fists*
- Ate really, really, REALLY terrible Tex Mex food here. I miss Azteca Taqueria. I think that'll be my first meal in the US. Or maybe some yaki soba. Or a huge plate of Chinese food. Mmmm...
- Saw HP4, once in Birmingham and once in Nantes. Final verdict: Meh. Sorry to say, but I thought it was too Hollywood. Not as good as the third, definitely. Hair was all-around too long. Hermione not very Hermione-ish. EVERYONE IS TOO GOOD-LOOKING. And they had to cut the shit out of the plot to make room for all the "exciting" fighting scenes. Meh. Maybe I was expecting too much.
- Had a crazy night with the Mexicans. Was a very bad girl. But hey, they're all leaving soon, so better live it up now, right? The best part was that it was Sunday and I only got one hour of sleep cuz I had classes at 8AM the next morning. Life is weird.
- Had a spontaneous "Underwear Party" on our floor in Fresche Blanc with the Americans, Turks, Polacks, and one Irish. Since I didn't have any nice boxers like the boys, I cheated and wore shorts. It was cool anyway though. I love our floor, even if we DO just speak English all the time.
THAT IS ALL FOR NOW!! Hope you have a good morning/afternoon/night. Me, I'm gonna get some sleep like a good little girl. Um, I think so anyway. A plus tard!
