Personally, I had a damn great 2009. My marriage is the most wonderful thing in my life, and Tina and I hit our first wedding anniversary and our fifth dating anniversary. We also saved a bunch of money towards a house deposit, which might well be put to use during 2010 ( Read more... )

My 2009 wasn't *entirely* bad. Some very bad things happened in it, but some very good things happened as well. I started my road to recovery from my assault in a tangible way, I started to feel hope again. I made headway in my art work and I feel like my skills are actually going to take me somewhere. Oh, and I achieved BNFness on deviantart, which was totally, utterly weird. And I haven't used it for evil.

See how easy it is not to be an arsehole megalomaniac? Whoever said absolute power corrupts absolutely is full of shit.

Wow Tom, it's so nice to read such a positive post. It makes me feel like I can achieve lots of great things in a year too. I love hanging out with you and Tina and I've had a great time going on holidays with you guys. Hopefully we can all go to Worldcon together this year.
