GRADUATE SCHOOL!
YES! I am learning more. More intake = More happiness.
It's a whole new world from photography. I hope to have enough time one day to continue my photography, but for now I must dedicate my thoughts to design. Sometimes I can relate photography to design, such as during renderings, but usually it's entirely new information. Quite fun.
This is a strange time in my studies though. It is the beginning of the second week back from break, and it is the second week of the new quarter. I have another break starting on the afternoon of the 18th, so this is really like the three-week quarter. It's the beginning of something intense, but I have 2 weeks of relaxing and enjoying before the rest of 11 weeks begins. Exciting - I can't wait to relax.
Being far away from Dani is quite difficult. We talk on the phone every night, and it is great. I love her so much, and I cannot wait to see her again, but it's hard not being able to see her for such long periods of time. Last time I saw her, it was a welcome change of pace from not seeing her for over two months!
But hopefully she will move in soon. There are some things preventing this, but when she is ready she will move in. I cannot wait for that day to come - when we don't have to talk on the phone every night and we can simply enjoy each other's company, and I'll save enough on rent to take her out when the mood strikes.
Grad school is fun despite the separation. I'm glad I'm doing this. I cannot wait to get out into the world and make things people can buy. I cannot wait to have the luxury of considering every detail and ensuring it's the right product to send out into the world. Granted, these are ideals likely not found in the workplace, but goddamnit I will try.
I'm thinking of starting a blog from my website, centered around thoughts and ideas around my studies in both ID and photography. I don't think it would get much traffic, but it might be helpful to me.
