LJ Interests meme results

1. being beardless:
   i grew one because i was tired of students thinking i wasn't their TA when i walked into class on the first day. it worked to make them at least ostensibly respect me more, on an immediate level. but then summer got hot, and trimming became just as obnoxious as shaving, and my grandma told my parents behind my back that i didn't look like her grandson anymore, and everyone kept pointing out that it has a red tint to it, so... yeah, it had to go. the sideburns are gone now too thanks to an overzealous barber on my first haircutting trip in boston.
2. chickpeas:
   c'mon, HUMMUS! oh, and you can bake them in the oven with random spices (cumin, tumeric, lemon pepper... be creative!) and they're a wonderful, fiber-filled tasty alternative to popcorn.
3. free beer night:
   mondays. @ UC. 11-midnight. pitchers of bud light. drunken convos with andymac. these are over forever for me. sigh.
4. hidden cameras (the band):
   only one of the coolest bands ever. a few CDs to me are perfect in that i can listen to them the entire way through, sometimes for hours on end, without realizing what i'm doing. the two CDs of this band that i have are like that. they're canadian. they have anywhere from 2 to 19 members, depending on the amount of money they're getting paid to play an arena and depending on how many people are actually a part of the band at the time. all their songs combine religious imagery with lyrics about gay sex. and the songs are some of the most beautiful i've ever heard. seriously, i think my parents would like this music as long as they never find out what a golden shower is.
   
   also, they often perform in churches. songs about jesus and blowjobs, and they perform them in churches with organs and everything. ah-maze-ing.
5. katamari damacy:
   only THE coolest video game ever. a little green alien rolls a ball and collects stuff. the only video game i've actually been excited to play. and play for hours, i did.
6. nudie touch:
   discovered at monday night free beer UC. scientific name: touch screen erotic photo hunt. my friends and i are stellar and can whip the ass of any challenger.
7. receiving clever calendars:
   i don't buy calendars. why? because my friends will buy me one with the cast of degrassi on it as a present. or one will make me one where they cut and paste all my friends heads on superhero bodies. truly unique, and months of fun.
8. reddoorsauna:
   reddoorhouse, circa april thru october.
9. sugar-coated cereals:
   duh.
10. vacancy:
    does anybody like "no vacancy"? honestly? who likes being turned away?
