(no subject)
I'm now in two bands. My first band, Logan are on a bit of a hiatus (another) at the moment, and I was offered a go at being in The Morning People, so I took it. Actually, I was asked to join by two of them, but I didn't want to count my chickens until after the practice in case they decided I wasn't suitable. Or in case they decided I was crap. But they didn't! They decided they liked what I did, I asked if I was in the band and they said yes... Well, Sam said yes and the rest capitulated. But now I'm rambling.
Thing is, I've been playing this down in my mind until now, because I didn't want to be too dissappointed if it didn't work out. I listened to the songs for the first time on Sunday night, and found that they were really very, very good. Great lyrics, and interesting, varied music. Am I effusing? Well anyway, they sounded good tonight in the practice. And we'll be gigging by December.
