I play Izzy in this one, a friend of mine played Tom and Bill.
The vampire was getting careless now, his desperation his drive. Fae blood was all he could smell, all he could taste. It was driving him slowly mad, he’d made plenty of mistakes over the past few days of hunting down this particular prey. He’d been lucky the first time, the brat had been young and hence she’d been slower than the other. He’d ripped out her throat pretty quickly, blood lust having taken over him. This one, though, shit, they were quick and held a sort of fight that had kept him out of the vampire’s grasp. He was addicted though, and the chase was making him even more bloodthirsty.
He was getting close now, though, the scent of the tiring fae getting stronger now. The vampire sped up, mouth practically salivating at the idea of sinking his teeth into that slender, pretty neck. He’d chased him all over California, and now he had the little bitch cornered, the water on one side and him on the other, closing in. He didn’t even notice the other unusual scent in the air, too focused on his catch, eyes narrowing as he dove forward, tackling the blond and pinning him down against the sand. This was his chance, but he knew he had to be careful, that he mustn’t underestimate this one, he’d tricked him a few times already.
Izzy and Samantha had been as close hell ever since they were little kids, his little sister had been born only a year and half after him. Even that young, the siblings had a strong bond. Izzy always wanted to play with ‘his baby’. They looked nothing alike, really. Izzy took after his mother, blond hair with her soft curls, blue and green eyes, an almost angelic face with her same pouty lips, not all that tall, but still slim and just a natural beauty. Than again, being faeries, they were all natural beauties. His sister took more after their father, dark straight hair, dark brown eyes, but she held more of the same facial features as her brother. And it showed more and more as they grew up. Especially since the older sibling took a liking to his sister's clothing and makeup and long hair over what his father preferred for him to wear.
The siblings had always been a little reckless, a little restless in their world of green and forests and were oh so fucking bored. They went to school of course, they learned of the other realm, where their kind originally came from. Why they had to run away to a place where no one else could venture. Theirs was a dying race, and only got smaller and smaller as fae would venture out into the other world, rarely coming back. No one could ever tell them what happened to those who didn't come back though. They were always assumed dead, that a vampire had caught and drained them. Izzy wouldn't believe it. Surely there wasn't one thing that could wipe out all of them. He and Samantha talked about it all the time. They wanted to see this world for themselves, despite everyone telling them they couldn't. They would die. His father had gone as far as to tell them if they left- they were not allowed to come back. Hoping his threat of losing their family forever would stop his teenagers from trying to leave. It didn't work.
For two weeks, the nineteen year old and seventeen year old had a blast once they escaped to this place. They knew very little about this world, but they didn't care. They were no longer under the watchful eyes of their parents or the other adults. There weren't many children anymore, too many families afraid to have them in fear of them leaving and dying. Two weeks of heaven for the teens. They lived outdoors all their lives, bathed in rivers and lakes. It was the way of their world. And then it happened… Izzy and Samantha were in a park, happily eating the apples they had stolen from a store earlier that day when he appeared. It didn't take them long to realize what he was with the way the man was staring at the pair and the look on his face that Izzy could only just make out in the dark. “Sammy… run!” Izzy had said quickly to his sister, pulling her up with him before he started dragging her off with him. Samantha wasn't as fast as him, the vampire had caught her and Izzy had been forced to watch helplessly as his sister's throat was ripped out and the vampire drained her there in the park.
He'd been running for two weeks now, for the first week he couldn't sleep at all, his sister's blood running through the vampire's veins allowing him to live in the light. That only lasted a week though, Sammy was still young. Now though, he couldn't remember the last time he ate, he barely slept. His dreams were haunted by images of his sister's death and by nightfall he had to run again anyways, always just getting away. He was getting tired now, not thinking straight anymore. Not able to slip away like he had been. He knew he fucked up when he felt water splashing against his bare feet and up his legs, making him shiver. He didn't have any more tricks up his sleeve to get away this time. His own magic was depleted from being so weak and tired, from using it to get away so many times already. He couldn't use the light to stun him long enough to run, despite trying too. He was tackled and Izzy screamed, his head aching where it hit a rock in the sand. “Get off!” he screamed at the vampire, long nails scratching at his arms and face, trying to pry himself out from under the heavy being.
The vampire wasn’t having any of that. He’d been hunting for this one for far too long to put up with any of his fighting back. Strong hands roughly grabbed at the smaller male’s wrists, trying to stop the way he scratched and fought back. He hit him hard enough to stun him, a hand roughly grabbing at the boy’s nicely manicured jaw, twisting his head to the side. He had to be careful this time, he’d drained the other one entirely too quickly. If he was careful he could drink from this one for a lot longer, maybe even take it back to his place as his captive, drink from him whenever he wanted. It was hard to resist the urge to just tear holes in him though. Jaw clenched, the male used his body to pin the fae down into the wet sand, ignoring the way the grains clung to his legs and the water drenched them both.
Body pinning the boy down, his free hand grabbed at the blond hair, yanking his head back and to the side even more, the vampire leaning in to drag his nose against the pale skin. That was all it took for the blood lust to take over again, making him forget all about his plan to make it last. His teeth sunk in fast, tearing at flesh and the vampire let out a throttled sound as his body stiffened. There was no going back now, a rushing in his ears as he gulped greedily, taking as much as he could as fast as he could. It was like heat in his veins, his hold only tightening on the small blond as he drunk from him.
They’d been tracking the scent of a particular vampire all night, having caught the scent halfway across town. It had been too long since they’d had a kill and although there was nothing nourishing about ripping apart a vampire, the twins often spent their nights hunting them down. Their pack followed, of course, but they usually hung back unless needed, knowing the two lead wolves had their reasons even if they’d never been told them. Nobody seemed to take any notice of the four wolves running through the shadows and when they did, the pack was gone before anything could be said, led by black and blonde wolves that were bigger than any wolf that most had seen. The two tawny colored ones following quickly, almost shiftily behind them, snarling at anyone that got to close.
They were soon all stepping onto the sand, their noses rising toward the moon, trying to catch the scent of their prey and the blonde let out a howl that chilled the bones of anyone that heard it before the front two were jogging up the beach. There were no shadows here to hide in, so they had to be quick, had to find their prey, rip it apart and dispose of it before they were seen. It was the black wolf that spotted them first, not even realising who or what the vampire was on top of, assuming at first, that it was human. Lips were pulled back into a snarl before both the blonde and the black lunged forward, paws splashing through the water before the two of them grabbed with powerful jaws. The vampire let go of it’s prey to scream out as the two wolves attacked.
The blond was more precise in his attack, going for the attacking hands, knowing how strong vampires could be, while the black was more rabid in his attack, lunging right for the throat and tearing, attempting to rip the vampire apart before it could harm either of them, the two of them dragging it away from it’s prey, not even paying attention to it. The vampire started to attack then, stronger from it’s meal, using all it’s strength to try and rid himself of his attackers. It was only then that the other two leaped into the battle, attacking the vampire from behind, getting more furious when the blonde yelped as it was thrown aside. The black wolf seemed to lose his temper then, the tawny two dragging the vampire down on the sand as the black adjusted it’s strong jaw on the vampire’s throat, starting to shake and then there was a loud snapping sound as the teeth broke through the bones of the neck, the blond rejoining the battle to make sure the vampire was killed completely. There was something different about this one, it tasted different, better almost, but none of them took notice as they continued to pull it to pieces, not resting until the body lay with every limb torn free and only then was the body dropped, the four wolves stilling over it, panting.
Izzy continued to struggle in the vampires hold in what he knew was a vain attempt, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't use his magic- the light that would stun the vampire long enough for him to try and run again. The light had been the only thing that saved him from being attacked like this for the last three nights. Samantha and Izzy and never taken their training seriously when it came to using it. They had never seen the point. Samantha never had a chance to even try before she had been attacked, and Izzy’s was never strong to begin with. And now it just wasn't there.
He whimpered and his eyes fluttered as he was struck once his hands were pinned down, his vision blurring and making it near impossible for him to struggle in the vampires hold. “No!” he gasped out as he head was tugged back, leaving his neck in the perfect position for the vampire to bite. He shuddered in fear as he felt the vampire smelling his blood, a vision of the same thing happening to his sister flashing in his mind and he felt his entire body run cold. He did that to her before he- Izzy cried out loudly as fangs sunk into his neck, his heart instantly racing more in his chest and his breathing becoming ragged. It wasn't long before Izzy wasn't struggling at all under the man, his screams and pleas becoming weaker the more the vampire drank from him. He barely noticed when the vampire was torn off of him, fading in and out of darkness at that point.
He could hear growls and screams, the sounds pulling him back into the light and letting him realize that the heavy weight was no longer in top of him, that the searing pain in his neck was now just throbbing and blood just leaking from the wounds rather than being sucked out. With the little strength the teen had, he pushed himself to sit up with shaking arms, eyes widening at what he was watching. Was he dead and seeing things? Or were there actually four wolves tearing apart the vampire that had been chasing him the last two weeks.
He blinked a few times and shook his head, raising one of his hands to his neck and holding it against the bleeding marks on his neck. No, he was definitely alive… but for how long? We're the wolves going to come after him next? He knew he couldn't run, it was taking all he had just to sit. His hand fell away from his neck and landed back in the sand, falling forward this time and looking down and away from the terrifying scene in front of him.
The movement startled the wolves and the black one snarled, head whipping around to look at the blonde, even taking a threatening step toward it. But he was cut off by his twins body, halting his movements and instead he watched warily. Somehow and for some reason, Bill didn’t want him to attack. ‘It’s probably going to die anyway.’ he argued with his twin, but when the blonde wolf parted it’s lips to snarl, the black wolf just lowed to his hunches, ears flattening back against his head in submission.
‘Shut up, Tom,’ Bill told his twin, the two of them communicating with their minds, the rest of the pack lowering themselves as well, able to hear the conversation while in wolf form, and none of them were aware that the blonde could hear them until their Alpha moved slowly forward, lowering his head as he approached the boy some, being careful not to scare him. It was Bill that was lucid enough from the hunt to be able to feel the bond that was there, and he didn’t blame his pack, they were still worked up from the fight and the blood they’d consumed from it in the process. However, he wasn’t sure what had caused it, perhaps thinking that it was because the vampire had been feeding from the obviously non-human male. ‘We’re not going to hurt you. We were only hunting the blood sucker. Do you need help?’
‘Really?’ Tom questioned his brother, confused now. Why was Bill trying to speak to it, why couldn’t they just kill it too? Though the more he waited the calmer his heart was and the more he started to notice the difference. This wasn’t human. He supposed that was reason enough and he shifted, stretching out, instead moving to nose at the torn up body of the vampire, not paying any attention, just leaving his brother to deal with it.
‘Can you understand me?’ Bill asked, ignoring his brother, lowering himself more, practically crawling across the sand, inching closer. ‘Are you wounded?’ he asked even though he knew the answer, he just felt the need to communicate with the pretty blonde.
This wasn't happening. This was so not happening. He kept telling himself himself that, over and over again. He wasn't sure what was worse, that vampire having finished him off, or these wolves ripping him apart instead. He squeezed his eyes shut tight when he heard one of them snarling towards him, wishing he could make himself move right now. His eyes snapped open when he heard the voice though, saying he was going to die anyways. Where the bloody hell did that come from?! No one had spoken…. He was alone on this this beach with a dead vampire and four wolves!
He peaked up at the wolves from under his under his long hair, wet from the water and his own blood. It was in his head. He was hearing voices in his head. How the hell was hearing voices in his head?! Fuck, he must have been killed because this was making no sense to him.
Izzy leaned back as the blond wolf moved towards him, not able to stop but shake a little in fear, despite the voice in his head saying that they wouldn't hurt him. He was still trying to wrap his mind around what just happened, he didn't want to hear voices too. He didn't say anything at first, not a hundred percent sure if this was actually happening or if it was from blood loss.
“I… I can understand you…” Izzy said, his voice weak, half wondering if he was going crazy now. He was talking to a wolf… that was talking in his head. He chewed on his lip a little at the wolf's next question, gulping back some. He reached up with one of his shaking arms, not from fear though, just from the effort it was taking to move at all. He pulled his hair back and off his neck, letting the wolf see where the vampire had attacked his neck. Fuck it, he was either going to be eaten by this wolf now or some other vampire was going to find him tonight, he didn't have the strength in him to run. “It’s still bleeding… he… he drank a lot of my blood. Am. Am I really talking to a wolf right now? Or am I just dying and hearing things…?”
‘You’re probably dying,’ Tom remarked from behind Bill, somewhere nearby in the dark, the other two wolves yipping in amusement, seeing the funny side of it.
Bill, however, wasn’t so impressed and turned quickly, giving his brother a nip to the hind leg, causing the black wolf to yelp in indignation. ‘Be quiet,’ he told him before he was slowly moving forward, a cold nose touching pale skin before as quick as he could, a big, warm, wet tongue came out to soothe over the wounds, the wolf saliva actually having rather big healing abilities, the wounds closing up before he’d even pulled back, lowering himself down so the boy wouldn’t be afraid. ‘I think because we shared your blood when we ripped apart the vampire, you’re able to communicate with us, I’m just not sure how long it will last,’ he told the boy, making no other move toward him, allowing the young male to have some time to process the whole situation, knowing that he must be rather rattled from it all, and Tom wasn’t helping.
‘I hear humans,’ Georg spoke up, moving up toward them slowly, following Bill’s suite and lowering himself and his head, just focusing on Bill. ‘If we’re to remain unnoticed, we need to leave, the supernatural too. It’s not safe for us, we still need to get rid of the body…’
‘Then take care of it,’ Bill instructed, the other wolf seeming to nod before moving away, Tom and the other gray wolf starting to drag the body parts deep into the water, the waves slicking their fur to their bodies as they did as their Alpha told them. Bill turned back to the blonde, looking him over. ‘I am Bill. My packmate is correct, it’s not safe here, you will be discovered and you are covered in blood. I know you’re scared, but I think it wise if you trust me, even just for a little bit.’
“And you're kind of an ass,” Izzy snapped back at wolf before he could even think about what he was saying. Yeah… probably not his best idea, snapping at a creature that could so obviously kill him without a second thought. Apparently the blonde wolf agreed to some degree since he bit at the same wolf Izzy did. The teen did completely freeze up when the blonde wolf got that close to him though, gasping as his tongue licked over the blood and wound on his neck. He reached up again when he moved away, shocked to feel the open bleeding holes in his neck no longer there… all he felt were little scars on his once smooth skin. Well… that was…. So many things. Weird. Different. Handy.
“You've had my blood too…” Well, really, that made sense to him now. Why he could hear them. He knew what his blood could do, at least with vampires. If the vampire had decided not to drain him tonight, he would've been bonded to him. Until one of them died. Well, that kind ended pretty quickly thanks to the wolves in front of him. This wolf might not know how long it would last, but Izzy had a feeling he did. Not that he was going to say anything. That would mean he'd have to admit what he was, and he wasn't quite sure he wanted to do that.
The fear from the wolf in front of him had subsided by now, if he was going to kill him he would have when his mouth was at his throat, not heal him. And since the others seemed to be listening to him…. He wasn't as afraid of them as he was before.
Izzy just stared at the wolf when he was spoken too again, scared? Yeah. Maybe not that he was about to be killed by this wolf this very second, but he was still scared. The wolf wanted him to trust them… the four wolves who just ripped apart a vampire high on his blood. That just didn't sound like a good idea. He did have a good point though… he was covered in blood… and he wasn't about to be able to get anywhere and hide on his own right now. “Uhm….” He chewed his lip for a moment before he finally nodded, “Okay… you did just save my life... I'll trust you…”
‘What a saint’, Tom commented when he returned, quickly speaking up again before his brother could tell him to shut up again. ‘The body is disposed of. The humans are getting close, Gustav thinks that someone heard the screams and called the police.’
Instead of scolding his brother, Bill turned his large head and the two met eyes, Bill moving forward to greet him, his tongue coming out to lick at the side of his twin’s mouth, trying to calm the anxiety he could feel exuding from his twin. ‘We’ll leave, stop worrying, Tom and stop being an ass,’ he commented at the end, turning away from him to approach the blonde boy, lowering his head and practically leaning into the small creature’s side, finding himself a lot bigger than him even in wolf form. ‘Get on my back, unless you’d rather go on my obnoxious brother,’ he told the boy dryly. The black wolf looked absolutely insulted, quickly hurrying off, just incase, the blond wolf’s tongue coming out to hang out of the side of his mouth in a wolfish grin.
‘Not bloody likely. It smells like vampire, you can be the one to stink,’ Tom said as he sauntered away, following after Gustav and Georg, not even looking back.
‘You do smell a little,’ Bill admitted to the boy, nudging against him. ‘Come on.’
Police? What the hell was a police and why did someone calling them matter? If someone heard him screaming than they should have tried to just help. Though really… it probably would've just gotten them killed too. He hadn't screamed for help, he was just screaming in pain and for the vampire to get off of him. Someone helping him hadn't actually crossed his mind.
Izzy wrinkled his nose at the idea of getting on the back of black wolf who quite obviously didn't really like him. He was only just trusting Bill, he wasn't ready to trust getting that close to any of the others. “Don't exactly wanna get close to you either,” Izzy shot back at the wolf as he started running off and Bill nudged against him.
He shrugged a little at the smelling comment, “Well I just had half my blood drained by a vampire laying on top me… my usual scent of sunshine isn't exactly gonna be there…” Izzy mumbled a little as he forced himself up to crawl on the wolf's back. He laid against the warm wolf when he straddled his back, just realizing then how damn cold he really was when he met up against the wolf's warmth.
‘Like sunshine?’ Bill questioned curiously. ‘Didn’t know sunshine had a smell,’ he told him, his tongue hanging out in amusement again. When his brother came back over, obviously impatient, the blonde wolf stepped forward and raised himself to his full height, starting off in a slow jog beside the black wolf, the two of them catching up with the grays.
‘We’ll have to run up the beach some first,’ Gustav spoke up, leading the way, heading into a proper run, their movements not jolting at all, just quick and smooth.
Bill kept up, even if he went a little slower, not wanting the male to fall from his back, he just ran along with his pack, the four of them darting into the shadows of the city, taking back alleyways and keeping to the easiest route since their Alpha could hardly jump over fences and everything with the boy on his back. It took them longer than it usually did and nothing more was said as they navigated the city, heading back to their mansion that was located on the other side of the city. When they came to the gates they all paused for a moment before there was a creak and the gates opened for them, the four of them jogging lightly inside, weaving their way between trees and up to the back of the house, past the pool.
When they finally stopped it was Georg and Gustav that shifted first, the two of them disappearing naked into the house, leaving the other two outside, leaving a trail of water behind them. Lowering himself down, Bill let the male climb off, watching as Tom shifted next, the older of the twins not bothering to hide his nudity as he grinned at his twin, purposely moving to squeeze his hair out on the wolf, scoffing when the blonde wolf took a playful nip at his heel, Tom heading inside to find the shower.
‘I feel as though I should apologize,’ Bill told the boy, still in wolf form, moving away before glancing at him unsurely, only taking a few moments before he too shifted into his human form in front of the boy. “It feels pretty inappropriate, but if you’ll excuse me, I’ll find something to wear, make yourself at home,” he told him with a smile, moving into their home, only to be met by Tom wearing track pants, holding out a towel, which Bill wrapped around his slender waist.
“You'd be surprised,” Izzy said with a little laugh before Bill started to run off with his pack, Izzy clinging to his back and trying not to pull at his for at the same time. He had been told that a thousand times growing up, it was why Vampires hunted them like they did, why they were so addicting to the bloodsuckers. Faeries smelled of sunshine and summer, something that vampires couldn't have. That had only been confirmed for sure the other night when the vampire had almost caught him, claiming he smelled sunshine inside of him and he had to have it.
He had figured by now what the wolves were, werewolves that is. He didn't know much about them other than the fact that they were humans who could shift into wolves, that were bigger than normal wolves. It still didn't stop his surprise at the huge house that they came up too when they finally slowed down, nor the shock at seeing two of the wolves shift in front of him… completely naked. He should have expected it, but that hasn't actually crossed his mind. He slid off of Bill’s back as his brother shifted and Issues eyes only crossed him for a moment out of curiosity before he looked away. “You've got nothing to apologize for,” Bill told the wolf Bill, smiling a little weakly at him before the other shifted as well, and Izzy was polite enough to keep his gaze just on the other males face as he spoke to him, as tempting as it was to look down.
“Nope, don't worry about it… you're fine,” Izzy said, shaking his head a little as he turned away to look around outside. Make himself at home…. He had never been close to a place like this. He didn't walk inside after the other four males, he was wet and sticky and covered in blood and didn't feel like ruining anything inside their home. Instead he leaned himself against the wall outside by the door they walked in, sliding to sit down and keep himself up against it. He was still weak and tired, standing up just wasn't easy right now.
“Leave him alone,” Bill warned Tom before he was disappearing to find something to wear, coming back as soon as he could, dressed in a pair of faded jeans. He found Tom in kitchen making himself something to eat, the blond confused as he went looking for the young male from earlier, finding him outside still. “What on Earth are you doing out here, come inside, where it’s warm. Don’t worry about this, you’re welcome to clean up and have a shower, I can find you something warm to wear, I just don’t think it’s going to fit so well, you’re tiny,” he said with a warm smile, about to say something when his fat little dog came running out, making grunting noises as he nosed at the newcomer.
“I made him a sandwich,” Tom said surprisingly, appearing. He was much nicer when he was in human form, his wolf shaped more wild than his human. He still avoided the little blonde’s gaze, instead giving the plated food to his brother before he hitched up his track pants with a fist, heading back inside. “And he should definitely have a shower….”
“Tom!” Bill warned him when his brother ruined the nice gesture with his big, stupid mouth. “Ignore my twin, he’s clueless where it comes to manners, come on, let me help you up,” Bill offered, holding out his hand, ready to help him inside and everything.
He was cold out here, that was for sure, especially after losing the warmth if the wolf he had been laying on. But he wasn't entirely uncomfortable, sore from the attack but being outside didn't bother him. He looked up when Bill came and found him outside still and he smiled a little, he couldn't lie… all of them in human form definitely was a little easier for him. “I've been outside for a month… it doesn't bother me that much.” He spent most of his time outside back in his realm too, but they did have houses. Just nothing like this.
The idea of a warm shower though… that did sound nice. Like, really, really good. “Yeah… well, I'm smaller than all of you, I'm not surprised anything you'd have be big,” he said with a shrug, but he was smiling at him. He was about to say something when Tom came out with the sandwich for him, surprising the young teen, but he stuck his tongue out at him when he mentioned he needed a shower. Yeah, that had been established already.
He accepted Bill’s help up, putting one of his hands against the wall to steady himself for a second before he made sure he had his balance. “I'm used to people acting like that around me, probably for different reasons but still…” he shrugged and smiled again at Bill as he walked inside with him. “Uhm… where's the bathroom? I really would like that shower. As much as you guys probably hate the smell of me right now, I probably feel ten times grosser.”
“There’s honestly no reason for Tom to dislike you specifically, he just doesn’t trust supernaturals or humans for that matter,” Bill explained as he carried the sandwich inside, placing it down on the table for after, waving the little male after him. He led him through the estate to the Main bedroom, his bedroom, to his master bath, showing him where it was with a smile. “Tom and I were kept captive by vampires for a very long time, they killed our parents and kept us locked up like pets, I managed to find a deep pit of hate, whereas, Tom… he just disappeared in on himself, didn’t talk for a very long time, not until a few years after we escaped, honestly, count yourself lucky that he talks to or about you at all.”
‘What are you telling him, Bill? I can hear you speaking to him,’ came Tom’s voice in both their heads, making Bill smile knowingly, throwing a wink at him and nodding at the shower.
“I’ll find you something to wear,” he promised, not answering his brother at first. In fact it wasn’t until he’d left the boy, closing the door behind him that he spoke not even caring that the blonde could still hear them. ‘I was just telling him how much you’d like it if he borrowed your bed for the night. You don’t mind, do you Tom?’ he teased, going over to his closet to find something for the blond to wear, one of his shirts that would act as a complete covering while he washed the boy’s clothing or got him something new. In the end, he went into Tom’s room and grabbed up one of his large white t-shirts, chuckling under his breath as he heard Tom chuckling.
‘I guess so… does that mean I’m sleeping with you tonight, Bill?’
Bill hadn’t expected that at all, just knocking on the bathroom door once, his hand sliding inside to hang the t-shirt off the door handle on the inside before he closed the door and walked away. ‘Depends on how nice you are to our guest.’
‘That’s not fair- Stop screwing with me, Bill. Also, Gustav wants to speak to you in the office.’
“Well I can understand not trusting anyone else, I spent my entire life with my kind… and coming here hasn't exactly gone as expected,” his sister was dead because of that vampire, because of him. They had thought all of this was so much fun, this land that was so different from everything they had ever experienced. And than Sammy… he shook the thought away and instead listened to Bill, a frown falling over his lips as he listened to their story. “I'm sorry… I know that doesn't fix anything but I still am… that's awful…” it made what happened to him seem like nothing.
He almost jumped when he heard the voice in head, not realizing that could still happen with the wolves in their human form. God that was weird, and he wasn't sure he would ever get used to it. Izzy smiled back at Bill as he left and turned his attention to the shower, happily turning on the hot water and climbing in after discarding of his blood soaked t-shirt and skirt.
He tried to ignore the voices as he let the hot water wash over him, washing away the evidence of last two weeks of hell for him. He used the blonds soap and shampoo, surprised he liked the scent of them. Not something he'd pick out at home, but it was still nice. Izzy usually smelled of apples and cinnamon, behind his god given scent of his blood. Of course, that was something he couldn't smell. Faeries didn't have any special abilities like that.
He laughed a little to himself as he heard the two arguing a little like that, he should not be listening to them but he couldn't exactly not hear it. They were in his damn head. He tried ignoring them as he finished washing up, grabbing a towel once he got out of the shower to dry himself off. He wrapped his long hair in the towel before dressing in the shirt Bill had brought for him, laughing a little to himself. It was so big on him, it looked almost like a dress! Not that he minded that, they did meet him while he was wearing a skirt after all.
He stared at himself in the mirror for a second, he barely looked like himself… his face was cleared of all evidence of the makeup he usually wore. He looked tired… worn down. The usual glow of happiness and pure energy that usually adorned the young fae just wasn't there. He wasn't happy… by a long shot. How could it be? He ran his fingers over the the two little scars on his neck, reminding him that he should be dead right now. He would be if it weren't for the four people whose house he was currently in. He owed them his life. Than again… he was bonded to them now. Especially Bill… the others may have had his blood through the vampire. But Bill had licked the wound closed, Bill had his blood directly.
He forced himself to look away as he walked from the bathroom and the bedroom together, soft feet padding on the ground as he went back to the living room where the sandwich was still sitting on the table for him. Izzy smiled a little to himself, going to sit on the couch and picked up the food, gratefully taking a bite from it.
After he’d gotten the boy something to wear, Bill had gone and used the other bathroom, showering and getting dressed again, brushing his hair back. He headed back into the living room, pleased to see the blonde there having something to eat. “Feel better now?” he asked him with a warm smile, going past into the kitchen to put on some coffee. He opened the fridge to find himself something to eat as well, pulling out stuff to make himself a sandwich, picking some mildly cooked beef. He needed to hunt for real, but this should fill the gap for now. He made himself a sandwich and headed back to the blonde, sitting down with him. Taking a bite from the small meal he’d made himself, he sighed and leaned back into the couch next to him, only glancing up when Tom entered the room, the male also having showered.
“Is that my shirt?” he questioned suddenly, pausing in his footsteps and staring at the blonde. “Bill that’s my shirt,” he complained, almost causing the alpha to choke on his sandwich. Tom rubbed his hand over his face and then waved it off, huffing and disappearing into the kitchen to get himself something too.
“Well mine wouldn’t cover enough, they’re tight on me,” Bill explained once his mouthful had been finished. He flashed a grin at the blond, having known the reaction he’d get from Tom the moment he grabbed it up. “Besides, you have a lot of them, I’m not sure the last time I saw you wear that one, it can be washed anyway.”
Tom was silent, no reply at all as he worked on his own sandwich and even when he walked back out with it, he just sunk down into the couch opposite them. He took a bite out of the food before looking up and staring at the blonde curiously. He did look pretty good in his shirt, but still he wasn’t sure about him at all, it was dangerous letting someone else in on their secret, let alone someone that was another supernatural. He didn’t like human’s much, but at this point, for Bill’s safety, he would have rathered one. He wasn’t glaring or anything, but there was serious mistrust all over the older twin’s face as he chewed at his sandwich.
“Tom, you’re staring, it’s rude,” Bill reminded him, looking amused when his twin’s face coloured and he looked away, acting like he’d never even stared at all. Instead of giving him more shit about it, the alpha turned his eyes to the blonde and stared himself for a moment, smiling suddenly. “I’m glad to see that you’re okay, of course, I am aware that you’re probably feeling out of sorts still, can practically smell it on you, however, I’m not sure how I would have felt if you’d gone and died on me,” he told the blonde, his gaze shifting over to Tom when his brother let out an amused snort. “What?”
“I dunno, what difference would it have made?” he asked, unsure and not used to being polite or anything, but he wasn’t meaning to offend either. “They’re usually dead, and it’s not like you would have gotten to know-uh whatever your name is- or anything, so there’d be no connection, you just assume you’d be s-”
“Tom, really? This isn’t black and white, I’m always sad when the victims are dead,” Bill told him brother with a frown. “Just because you’re emotionally stunted…”
“I’m not, I care… I think… It’s just all the same to me now, kind of blurs into everything, the world’s a horrible place, full of violence and hate, what’s another drop in a sea of blood,” he told him tiredly, reaching up to rub at his eyes, his shoulders slumping.
Izzy was slowly chewing on his food when Bill came in the room and asked that, he swallowed and nodded at him. “Yes, thank you,” he said, setting down the sandwich and pulling the towel off his head, letting the dampened locks to fall around his shoulders. It was long enough to reach past the middle of his back. He ran his fingers through the dampened curls to untangle them a little and set the towel on his lap so he wouldn't throw it somewhere and make a mess of their home. “For everything, yanno… not just the shower. You may not have gone after him tonight to save me, but you still did. And I can't thank you enough for that.”
His hair was falling over half his face a little now and he tucked it behind his ears as he went back to finishing his sandwich as Bill left to make his own, almost finished with his as Bill sat down and Tom came in the room. He nearly dropped the food when Tom said that, looking between the twins for a moment. “I don't know, I didn't pick it, Bill gave it to me.” Izzy said with a soft shrug before Bill explained it to his twin.
Izzy shifted on the couch when Tom came back, having set aside the last few bites of his food-looking not really hungry anymore. He had been starving, but barely eating the last month had left his stomach smaller- unable to eat as much as before. He sat back on the couch with his feet curled under him, not really sure what to say to either of the wolves. He didn't actually know either of them. He knew their names, and what Bill had told him. That honestly didn't leave him with much information or anything that he figured either make would want to talk about. He twisted the damp towel in his hands after pulling his hair over his shoulder and stared down at it.
He could feel Tom’s eyes on him, but it wasn't really bothering him. People had been staring since he and Stephanie got in this realm. And it didn't feel threatening like the vampires stare had been. Izzy stayed silent as the twins spoke, even after what Bill had said. He was sure the only reason Bill felt that way about him dying was because he had his blood in him. He didn't know a whole lot about what his blood did to other sups, just vampires, but had he just been a human and it was human blood running through their systems Izzy was sure he would have been left on the beach for some other humans to find if they had bothered to save his life at all.
The twins arguing made his heart ache a little, making him think of his sister- how they would argue like that too. Fuck, he missed her so much. More than that though, he was realizing how right Tom was. This world really did seem to suck. Nothing like him and Stephanie had felt in the beginning, nothing like they thought it would be.
He finally looked away from his hands and up at Tom, forcing away the thoughts of his sister again before he started crying in front of these two. He could cry later, when he was alone and left to try and sleep. He still hadn't been able to truly grieve for his sister, he had been running since she was killed and never had a chance. If he had let himself before, he would have been caught a helluva lot sooner. “It’s Izzy… my name. Its Izzy,” he told them, not having quite even noticed he never told them. So much had happened in such a short amount of time he didn’t think about it.
“I'm sure you probably trust me even less than I trust you, but think about it for a second. I may be a supernatural, but I was just about killed by someone you *did* kill. I'm no threat to any of you. Especially now. I'm kinda bonded to you now, I couldn't hurt you even if I wanted too.” He could leave them, sure. Run and not come back. But they did kinda own a part of him now, his light couldn't hurt them even if he did have control over it at the moment. “Me being here is far more dangerous for me than it is for you, you're wolves, you could break me like a twig. And I'm just a-” he stopped for a moment, stopping himself from saying faerie. “Just a nineteen year old kid with zero body strength. Get it?”
Oh great. This Izzy guy was pretty perceptive, just like Bill could be. It always drove Tom bonkers when his twin did that, their bond didn’t help. But what the fuck was with this kid suddenly having a bond with them too, he could feel it, of course he could, but he was trying to ignore it. “Stop reading me, I don’t need you doing it too,” Tom snapped at the blonde, his knee starting to bounce up and down uncomfortably.
“You just don’t like that he’s right, you don’t trust anyone, Tom,” Bill pointed out calmly, not at all offended by what Izzy had said. Bill could feel what he was feeling too, the aura of fear and mistrust leaking from the boy’s pores, he could smell it. But it was the grief that hit him the worst, something neither of him and Tom could really experience, neither of them could cry. They just couldn’t, Gustav and Georg could, but them? Never, not once and holding all that in could lead to some pretty violent moments. But even with not being able to experience it himself, the waves of it hitting him were almost dizzying, causing his throat to work and he glanced at Tom, seeing the same result. Tom looked like he would run at any moment and he finally rose up, shifting over to the other couch to put his hand on Tom’s shoulder, the male jumping and then looking drained as he relaxed. Bill was glad he could give his pack comfort and sometimes they would all needed it, all joining him in bed at night just to be around him, it could be annoying, but it mostly was his comfort too.
“This sucks,” Tom gritted out, this time glowering at the blond, his teeth grinding together as he shivered, meeting Bill’s eyes briefly before he was looking back at Izzy. He could feel rage building up, Bill’s hand tightening on his shoulder because he felt it too. “You’re hiding things from us, and you want us to trust you? You know what we are, you don’t think I can’t tell? Bill would have picked you up, supernatural or not, he’s like that, but no vampires go out of their way to chase down someone with that little meat on their bones, I can feel whatever it is in my blood, I can see it radiating off you, Bill won’t say it, but I’m not Bill and whatever you are does put us in danger. If they’re willing to chase you down like they did in public, out in the open, then what makes you so sure that we’re safe with you around, if they killed us, that would be it, no more werewolves. But still-”
“Tom,” Bill said finally, forcing his brother to look at him. “Calm down, you know we’re safe, you know we can handle ourselves and Izzy is welcome here, you and I both know that you would worry if he left, and you can deny it all you want, but you feel the connection too and whether they come looking for him or not- That’s not his fault, he’ll tell us when he’s ready to tell us, so take a breath and eat your food,” he commanded, making it an order so that Tom would actually do it, watching his twin fight the power he had over him before slumping and going silent, taking a breath and starting to eat. He didn’t like using his alpha powers like that, preferred people to have free will, but sometimes, it came in handy. Turning his eyes to Izzy, Bill got up and went back over, sitting closer this time, his hand gently laying on the blonde’s hand, taking the towel and instead offering him his hand to hold, patting the top one with his other hand as he met his eyes. “I understand you need some time, I feel your grief and know you’ve lost someone, but let me say this just once. He’s right, you need to trust us and tell us everything, because we can’t protect you if you keep things from us. We’re not going to hurt you and while you’re here, you can trust us to protect you, even if you don’t trust us completely, at least trust us enough for that,” he told him, reaching up with a long finger to push a trendle of the boy’s long hair behind an ear. “You don’t have to tell us now, just know that it’s important.”
“Not my fault you're easy to read,” Izzy said with a little shrug before Bill pointed out he didn't trust anyone. Well if he couldn't trust anyone than it made even more sense why he didn't trust the little blond sitting across from him. Trust him or not, it didn't change that what he said was true. He couldn't hurt any of the wolves here.
The little faerie paled even more than he already was when Tom started to grill into him. He hasn't thought about any of that. No, he couldn't hurt them… but he was right. If another vampire caught his scent it was entirely possible for them to try and come after him again even with the wolves around him. Especially if the vampire could tell what he was by his scent. He felt guilt building in the pool of his stomach now. He didn't want to put any of them in danger. Maybe Tom was right… he really, really shouldn't be here. He should just leave now.
He opened his mouth to say something, but changed his mind last second and bit his lip instead, looking away from the twins and back at his hands, twisting the towel more for something to do. He still listened to what Bill was telling his brother, but he wasn't quite sure he believed all of it. Maybe Bill would worry a little bit if he left, but there was nothing about Tom that gave him even a hint that he would worry if Izzy walked out the door now.
Izzy froze when Bill came and sat close to him this time, holding tightly into the fabric in hands for a moment as Bill tried to take it away from him before he gave in let it go without a fight. It was something to do with his hands, to distract himself, he didn't need it. Izzy looked up and caught Bill’s eyes with his own when the wolf took his hand like that. No one but Stephanie ever held his hands. He listened to Bill and his guilt only got worse as the other blond spoke. He didn't want to tell. What if they decided he was too much a liability to have around and gave him to a vampire just to rid of the inconvenience. Hell, if he was dead the bond would be broken and neither of them would have to feel him at all anymore.
