amycurl and marymary, I don't care if it's just the three of us blabbing about this. Because like marymary, I am DYING to talk about this episode of my other favorite show. There: I said it, and I'm glad I did. (OK, now I'm feeling bad, as if other shows I like would feel bad about that phrasing, so let me amend: As of 8 p.m. Sunday (sniff), "The

You know, this is funny. Maybe only to me. Somebody brought up the "closet" analogy, referring to our focus. And I realize that, while my friends would be cool with anything I did, pretty much, they would be really surprised to know that I spend a lot of time online talking about stuff like this. Anyway...
One thing I love about the show is how they've turned Michael's whole thing on its head. He's supposed to be clueless and pathetic, which he is. And so, when he talks about there being something between himself and Jan, the viewer laughs because CLEARLY, it's all in his mind. He's this hopelessly deluded guy, who thinks he's a catch. Except there IS something between them.
"Jan and I understand each other. The romance thing is on hold for the time being, but we remain good friends. Good friends, with priveleges. Not now...someday."
Ok, that is totally played as a delusion on his part. Except for the fact that, despite himself, he does have something with Jan! At the end of Casino Night, he says, "I've got my New York girl and my local flavor. Life is good." It would be funny enough that he thinks that, but it's even funnier that it's true!
Second thing. (Still there?) No boy scouts. Toby: "There's gambling, alcohol, and it's in our dangerous warehouse, and it's a school night and, you know, Hooters is catering. Is that enough? Should I keep going?"
I love Toby. My second Toby to love. I was so happy when he took Michael's money.
