what a monday
So to start today, I tried to make it to my 9 AM class on time. Normally, I walk in betwen 10 and 25 minutes late, depending on what time I feel like waking up. (Normally, it's around 8:15.) Anyways, I woke up at like 7:45 and left my house at 8:25 since it takes me on average about 25-30 minutes to get to school. But today, there was some freakin' accident at the Twin Bridges that backed it up all the way to Exit 9. I took an alternate route in after a McDonald's, and got to the campus at 9:13 AM. There was a test in my class, and I didn't feel like walking in late and having people say something about it, so I hung out with Ricardo, discussed with my teacher when I could make it up after class (I have to go in 30 minutes early tomorrow to do it), and ended up being late to Math class.
I thought that would be the worst of it. I was wrong. Very, very wrong.
On the way home going west on Route 7, my car was acting up. The engine sounded really strange, and despite the pedal being to the floor, I was only going 60 mph, 70 maximum. When I went to get on to the Northway, I was below 60, and then a ton of smoke started coming from my car. I turned into the left lane, then pulled off to the side and called my mom to get me.
So... yeah, the Sunfire is pretty much dead. This especially sucks considering I put $1600 into it over the summer to get the sensors and the brakes fixed. It just got towed to a mechanic, so we're pretty much waiting for him to tell me that the car is done. I have to drive the Oldsmobile for now, then I have to look into getting a new car.
Conclusion: today sucks.
