What's going on up there, eh?

I'm beginning to feel a little glad to be in a new country, since it seems things are going a little bit to hell back home. Crazy media consolidation, cutbacks in regional TV and radio stations, a new emphasis on military power and newfound support for this insanity in the middle east. It's a bit worrying to be down here and seeing my country change in this way, but maybe I'm just seeing things through the internet news lens and shouldn't take it too too seriously.

Speaking of which, I just read the most Canadian news story ever.
