Plot Summary:
On the first day of Christmas her true love left her alone, so Caroline Salvatore wanted family members around, but by the twelfth, all she wants is peace and quiet. Her husband Lieutenant Colonel Damon Salvatore is overseas so Caroline has to entertain his teenage brother, whose going down a dark path and spinning out of control, his cousin, who won’t stop analyzing everyone, and her sister, who just got kicked out of boarding school and will do anything to get her way for Christmas. What makes matters worse is someone Caroline thought as a good family friend turns out as someone trying to ruin her picture perfect life she has going on. Her best friend shows up to cause drama as usual but Caroline has other plans for her this year. But everything is not right without Damon here.
With challenges coming her way from left to right Caroline must overcome her first Christmas as a wife, and yet alone, and figure out how to celebrate the holidays without the one person she loves. But one huge surprise might ruin her holiday cheer. When the little pink line shows up everyone and everything will be in for a big dramatic Christmas this year with Caroline Salvatore running the show.
Main Characters:
Caroline Salvatore played by Candice AccolaCaroline is having a hard time dealing with being a newlywed when her husband is gone. Her neurotic control freak persona comes out as the holidays approach. It turns out to be worst when Niklaus “Nick” tries to make her his new lover and everyone else around her is falling in or out of love.
Stefan Salvatore played by Paul Wesley
Stefan is just trying to deal with everything changing in his life. He recently broke up with his girlfriend and his brother has been shipped off to patrol the seas. His life has been one awful event after the other but this year he doesn’t care much about anyone or anything. His weakness is drinking and using drugs to get past the pain he’s held in for too long. And if it happens that Rebekah throws herself at him so be it.
Slater Salvatore played by Trevor Peterson
Slater is the-know-it-all cousin of Damon and Stefan. He has a PHD in psychology and doesn’t mind psycho-analyzing everyone that comes his way. His love for Mystic Falls and his family brings him back every Christmas. But this year he will find something else in town, like his love life, which has been non-existing since his recent break up.
Rebekah Forbes played by Claire Holt
Rebekah is the free-spirited younger sister of Caroline. She has just got kicked out of boarding school, something she said wasn’t her fault, and must spend the holidays with her sister until their father can make it back to the States to retrieve her. But like everything Bex’s does she turns it to her advantage by stealing Damon’s alcohol every chance she can get and also by trying to seduce Stefan, her one time lover.

Damon Salvatore played by Ian Somerhalder
Lieutenant Colonel Damon Salvatore is a wise cracking-joking around kind of guy. But the one thing that makes this guy melt is Caroline. His passion for poetry and art come out whenever he is with her. But this year he’s not home and misses it. All Damon wants is to spend time with his brother and wife so will he make it home for Christmas?
Niklaus played by Joseph Morgan
Nick is a man’s man. He has been good friends with Damon for years so him spending Christmas around the Salvatore house is not weird. Though his love for Caroline has been a huge secret he hasn’t had the chance of her knowing until now. He will stop at nothing to win his friend’s wife over.
Jeremy Gilbert played by Steven R. McQueen
Jeremy is the new kid in town. He meets Stefan at school and become friends quickly due to the fact Jeremy’s dad is a doctor fighting in the war. He tries to help Stefan overcome the darkness he is feeling but in the end Stefan brings Jeremy into a whole heap of trouble.
Katherine Pierce played by Nina Dobrev
Katherine has been Caroline’s pain in her side for years or her best friend depending on what trouble Katherine brings with her. This year Katherine is on the run from an abusive ex. But as she reveals to Slater her troubled past the two grow closer into something neither of them wanted.
