IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!
Dear tombofchallenge members,
first of all I would like to thank those 4 people who took the time and answered my question about the community. I must admit, I was hoping for more input but it just shows that a proper revamping is in order. You all know that tombofchallenge started out as an odd cross between a land community and a playground for tvd_rareships members, and I feel like this attempt has failed. So I decided to sever the ties between the two communities. The challenge community will be turned into a proper land-type challenge community for ALL PAIRINGS and characters. Rare ships will still be very much welcome and cherished but the challenges will be open for any kind of pairing, mainstream characters and ships included. At the same time, occasional challenges specifically focusing on rare pairings will return to tvd_rareships.
More information on what exactly is going to happen with tombofchallenge now, you can find below. Thank you all for your participation so far and I hope you’ll continue to have fun in this new, better challenge comm.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
As every proper land-type community we have the following connected communities. vd_land is the main comm, for all challenges and announcements. tombofchallenge is going to be turned into the social comm of vd_land, a place to post challenge responses etc. And we have two team communities for our teams: humans_n_weres, vamps_n_witches. Check all these out (I tried to make them look inviting with the help of all these gorgeous people VD employs) and read the f.a.q. section in vd_land, all your questions should be answered there.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO NOW?
Don’t panic. :) This change won’t happen from one day to the next. Until the END OF OCTOBER we’re having a transition period. That means ALL CHALLENGES AS WELL AS CHALLENGE RESPONSES ARE STILL POSTED IN tombofchallenge. (Starting next month, all challenges will be announced at vd_land - as indicated in the f.a.q)
If you don’t wish to continue participation then you can just ride out this month here and do nothing. Then, come November you will be removed from the member list and we’ll miss you dearly. :) (I hope as few people as possible take this route.)

If you are still interested here’s what you need to do.
- Go to our new “apply for a team” post and comment with your application. You also have the possibility now to change teams if you wish.
- Once approved, I will send you the invitations to the communities, DO NOT TRY TO JOIN THEM BEFORE.
- If you feel particularly adventurous, apply to be Team Leader of your team. (more info in the team comms)
