A long day out n' about
Well today was a fairly decent and productive day. I spent the morning looking for work online, and applied to a few new job postings I found here and there. After some quick gaming and lunch, I went out to the local mega mall to continue the on-foot job hunt. I spent a few hours there handing out resumes in person, making sure to include places I've either been in a lot, or previously worked at just for the hell of it.
I had a very brief conversation with a passing lady at the Tim Hortons, as I sat there having a coffee and reading a book. She seemed shocked to see me sitting there with a novel of all things, and only said "Boy, it sure is nice to see somebody still reads." I agreed and briefly mentioned that it seemed to be a lost art these days. Then she turned quickly and walked off. Wee, super short conversations.
After that I met up with the roomie at the theater, and we went to go see The Crazies. It was a rather enjoyable film. It very easily could have been Left 4 Dead the movie to be honest. It had just the right kind of screwed up shit going on, and the like. I'd suggest going to see it. :3 It was a fun little distraction.
I followed all that up with some dinner out, another show at home while I consumed my take-out, and here I am yet again. I don't think I've spent that much time out of the house in months. Hooray for being unemployed and house-bound all the time. ^^() I'll likely finish off the evening with some zombie killing. :3
