X-Men DOFP trip

Did I say thanks to 20th Century Fox for bringing me to the X-Men: Days Of Future Past junket in Singapore yet? No? Okay, here it is: THANK YOU, FOX!

I'm also grateful that they gave me my first carpet reporting experience. It was hectic, chaotic and kind of frustrating (especially when the staff on the ground is not attentive) but it was new and fun in a way. Even if Singapore is too hot and humid for words and it makes standing around waiting for anything to happen tortuous.

The roundtable interviews, though, were awesomely done. It's the first time I ran out of questions for an interview! I had set up four questions for Hugh Jackman and Peter Dinklage but my Hugh group was very quiet so there was some silences that could potentially be awkward. So I just asked whatever it was on the top of my head and ended up asking him about Wolverine: The Musical. And Peter Dinklage was kind enough not only to answer my questions, but to bring up Game Of Thrones (initially we weren't allowed to ask personal questions and stuff about the actors' other works) so that we could all segue into small GoT stuff... I mentioned to him what Sophie Turner said on our HBO phoner last month and his response was so funny. The absolute awesome thing was Fan Bingbing allowing us to take pictures with her. I didn't get to take a picture with either Mr. Jackman or Mr. Dinklage but Fan Bingbing and her interpreter were all like, "Anybody want a picture?" BRILLIANT. And here's the beautiful Fan Bingbing with yours truly.

Other photos are on my Instagram. It's not completely uploaded yet, so if you want more Hugh/Peter/Bingbing, follow that.

And the movie? X-Men: Days Of Future Past is cleverly plotted, with some cool scene-stealing action from Evan Peters as Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson's got his work cut out for him--seriously, it's going to be tough following this act!) and a lot of bromance from the McAvoy/Fassbender and Stewart/McKellen side. It's not easy making a comic book adaptation in a post Avengers world but Bryan Singer did actually deliver with this one!
